I’ll note, in the Christmas part, they had most of us kids watch Truth of Tradition as well and then asked how we felt about it, and unanimously all us kids were okay with taking down all the Christmas decorations.
Gr8 2c the Elliot family!😊 I first found her online and subscribed to her devotional. Afterward we saw them through Michael Rood ministry. Shabbat Night Li i i ve! ❤
I want to inspire those like me who are the only one in their family !!! Who celebrate while Bible! We are home schooling for the first time this year, slowing down and still can’t quite manage the Holy Days properly … By my actions and my love and diligence they will know the father’s love for them, through Yeshua, brought by the Ruach!!! … This is so encouraging. I met Anne at the Torah Sisters Retreat and her daughters are amazing! She really lives what she preaches and we are enjoying their books! Pray for us! As a family of 5 it’s lovely sometimes to love Yah so much and
Amen, sister. Our first Sukkah this year... a work in progress! It wouldnt stand the desert winds the Isrealites probably endured, but my children, 5 and under are having so much fun decorating 😊
As a mom of 10 homeschooled kids, there were times I felt inadequate or less suitable to teach my children certain subjects. The BEAUTY of the homeschool community is: There is SOMEONE who can teach the subject that you might be lacking in. The symbiotic relationships that grow provide the richest education for our children.
7 yeara post homeschool mom and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this. My oldest struggled mild dyslexia. I taught Jr High but was led to homeschool. Prayed for my husband to get the same leading. He did. I knew if he could read he could learn. I also believed God's Word does not return void. We spent a lot of time reading the Word and Mystery of History and some others. Definitely teach them to be adults and how to learn. Like you were saying about being a week ahead on your curriculum creation. Just be a day ahead of the kids. I tell you I learned so much I either never learned (especially creation though I always had questions) and a lot I relearned. It's also so much more than "school stuff" you also build an awesome relationship! My boys would say they could spot " home homeschoolers" (the nerdy ones) but interesting my oldest could always tell at the community college other homeschoolers. They carry themselves more like adults, can carry conversations with adults and so much more. Always pray for them and their salvation. On the why's , teach them to give a answer for why they believe. That's in the Bible too. I wish I knew them so much more than I do k ow regarding Torah. Im new to all this. Yah has been revealing these things to me for almost 2 yrs. Baby steps for sure. Thank you! Shalom
Oh don't feel bad I was super slow too. I was at a BBQ at my aunt's house in 2007 and didn't know it was Passover. The Ruach kept showing me things little by little and I didn't make a conscious decision to keep Torah until 2013
I really appreciate sharing the experiences of "transitioning". I felt led this year to begin to recognize Passover and did research and did the best that I knew how to learn about what to do. I've been listening to videos and reading about the rest of God's Appointed Times and felt overwhelmed about learning and celebrating them all at once. I hadn't thought of consciously deciding to take it one at a time. Thank you!
Public schools famously don't educate people enough to have the confidence to teach their own child... At least that's how most people feel whether they can or not is a different story
Awesome couple! There was SO much wisdom here, even for those who don't have school age children. I also appreciated the powerful nuggets not specifically related to homeschooling (ex. marriage, family) that speak to all of us. Great interview!
I used the homeschooling Torah curriculum for a while. I did like it. You do really need to have the Mom at home to do it, tho. Didn't work out for us long-term, but I do think it's a good curriculum.
Im new to doing the torah stuff just few mo. Im doing ok wanted to do sukkot this yr but its here wasnt able to save money to take the days off. Gonna make a tent on my porch this wk tho. Baby steps. Whats the reasoning with the head coverings on women? And where do you get them? Its beautiful. I had a neighbor last yr who did all this wish she was still here bc its just me and it would be great to have folks to do shabbat with and such. And be great to have someone whos been doing all this to help me threw this like sukkot and all the feast days i dont know how to do aall this. But gonna keep trucking on. Lol
So many people of Yah start little by little. Do what you can and are able to do. Like our little children that are trying to obey but goof it up. As they get older they know how and do it without goofing it up. We are His children. We will grow up in His Way if we continue..... About the head scarfs. They are pretty. I don't know much about them. However I have tried to find a Torah about head scarfs and I have found none. This may be a culture and a tradition thing. So I feel comfortable not wearing a head scarf. But you may really like that tradition.....
There's 1 Corinthians 11 that mentions covering your head as a married woman but like the person just said above it takes study to understand whether it is simply a cultural, traditional thing or a command.
Hey I so can compare my homeschooling with their method. Wish I had more freedom to not feel the pressure to measure up but alas all my kids are doing well. But faith in their creator is not priority. My first husband took found a group early on that had all denied Messiah and refused to go this direction. So a lot of pull back. Keep the unity and consistent boundaries living guidance. And lots of talk when and after reading giving every opportunity to interject the question. What would Yahshua do? Luke and Katy I love what your doing but Katy please come up with some kind friendly Torah memorization songs. Like I encouraged you to oh so many years ago when we camped with you the Iretas and John and Becky. Blessings
Israelites are those that have accepted Christ, and are in the body of Jesus. The Israel that we should be looking forward to is the new Israel that will be placed upon this earth after God destroys all of the wickedness and yes, Saturday is the sabbath Friday sunset to Saturday sunset. Thank you for your video Bible keeping actually is sabbath keeping the new and the old Testament both should be utilized and shows that we should be keeping the sabbath.

I remember that, too, kiddo! You kids weren't bothered by the thought of not celebrating Christmas. ~Anne

This podcast certainly exceeded my expectations: Torah foundations for family, (& community) beyond just homeschooling. Bring it on!
Hooray!

Belief in evolution is literally worshipping a god of chaos and disorder.
Oh, that's a thought-provoking good statement 😮
YAH bless you!
Anyone else want to know where Kraig got his shirt, or is it just me?
Kraig designs his own! You can purchase them on their website 👏

Older kids watching younger siblings is "child development class" 😉
