There should already be two byes. Even when there were 16 games there shoulda been two byes.
3 games in 10 days is scary
'Player safety is importa... wait, is that $20 under that chair over there? F that...'
There should be hazard pay for this.
especially if you're 40+ years old...
Why do people keep saying this? It’s 3 games in 11 days
@@evosmith12big difference lmao still fucked
The Chiefs having a week 6 bye and then a gauntlet in December is absurd
That there is artificial turf in 2024 says enough.
10 teams. Chiefs, Steelers, Ravens, Texans, from Dec. 15 to Dec. 25. Chiefs also play 6 games in 32 days, 11/24-12/25. 5:15
The NFL is entertainment. Period. Their personalities impact social media, gambling, viewership, etc. I doubt the League places "revenge" over money. Aaron Rodgers has owned sports talk and social media. He is a lightning rod for controversy, which equates to money. Everyone is feeding at the trough: owners, to coaches, to players, to sports podcasts, to businesses around the stadium. Everyone is simply following the rules of capitalism over the "good of the game."
Facts. Well said
I feel like it should be randomized if we're being completely fair
Yeah I’d like that too with one change. I say randomize the weekly matchups and then pick the best games of each week and make them the primetime slots
What made you think the NFL is attempting to be fair?
This episode is still not available on Peacock
Also it's no secret for the last few years the jets seem to always somehow draw the short straw with scheduling. Last year the opening 6 games were brutal. The year before they had one of the tougher strength of schedules as well. Every year the schedule comes out i wonder who the jets pissed off.
why isn't this new episode recorded earlier today NOT ON PEACOCK?!?!?!?!
still not on peacock
When people already think the game is rigged, this is gonna add fuel to the fire 😂
As a Bears fan, it's kind of petty for the NFL to punish us and the Saints for opposing the Thursday flexing.
We’re still playing like a lotta things aren’t fixed in the league 😂
Hello, flat earther!!
Dear NFL, make ALL the Team Bye Weeks on weeks 8-10, or 9-11.
For the "3 games in 10 days" issue, Jets can treat week 2 & 3 like a preseason. If Rodgers can score a couple vs the Titans/Pats, put Tyrod and other great backups in for the rest of the game.
The Patriots would have easy schedules even after they win the sb , I use to compare that's how I new it was rigged.
The Chiefs are a marketable team, their going for a 3-peat, and they have over a 100 million Swifties cheering for them. All the NFL executives see is dollar signs.
Chiefs have 3 in 10 days to end the season. Browns (12/15) - Texans (12/21) - Steelers (12/25)
Yes all the Christmas teams are doing 3 in 10 days
@@moose4ku440there’s only 2 games on Christmas my guy. You’re talking about 2 games so 4 teams lol
That's 11 days
@mikep3813 4:35 count out a Monday-Sunday-Thursday schedule. You don't count the first "Monday" as a day. That's how they get to 10 days. I understand what you mean though.
We kinda already knew this. Unless you're part of the local market for a small market team, your chances of seeing your team regularly are slim. Why? Ratings and bottom line.
They seem to have did the Bengals a solid with the breakup of division games over the season. They really seem to be punishing the Steelers having all their division games condensed at the end.
Yeah the seahawks had half of their division games in a 4 game stretch with the 49ers twice in 3 weeks last year...kind of wrecked the whole season because they only won 1 game in a month and a half. As a fan, I really hate when the scheduling does that, it's not exciting, it's something closer to fixing.
One change I would make is - every team should have the same bye week, in the middle of the season.
They'll never give up a whole week of TV revenue
@@taylorroll Yeah, I think you're right about that
You missed the RAVENS - they have to do it during the week leading up to Christmas.
The 2012 ravens had a crazy schedule to open the season too, I remember.
It was a MNF Game
Then Sunday, then Sunday, then a Thursday night game
4 games in 16 days I believe
The NFL is on top of the sports world right now, but when you're on top there's only one way you can go which is down.
A lot of fans have Sundays off from work. I'd be watching less and attending weekday games less unfortunately.
The nfl should not have games on tuesday and wednesday. What makes football special is the event sport on a few days of the week. Put a game every day and its just baseball
I mean, Miami has had more back to back away games than any team for like a decade. Imagine if Jacksonville moves to London, should they move Miami to the AFC South then and keep the AFC north be IDK, the northern east teams them? You know the NFL wants a team in London.
It’s 11 days. And this guy was a lawyer?
I believe there may have been a few teams during the Covid year that did the 3 games in 10 days thing
Yea that was covid. This is different
I'm fairly confident the NFL could feed the necessary data and parameters into an AI system and the AI system will generate any schedule.
You can’t be just now realizing all this…. I mean just go back and look at Seahawks previous seasons schedules.. it’s been going on since 90s at least…..every Hawks fan has know the schedule is made with revenge in mind… or a way to get back or make it harder.
If they lean hard into Tuesday and Wednesday games as Florio is speculating, they'll bite a big hand that feeds them (fantasy football).
This is the most you've talked about the seahawks all offseason...did you hurt yourselves?
This is why players and teams shouldn't say squat about the schedule. Complaining gets you nowhere. Have the team owners come together and demand rules regarding the schedule. Have them develop a rule that prevents the "3 games in 10 days" scenario. Otherwise, if I were on the team, I would go around and say "we are ready to play any team any day of any week."
You never address that the Commanders have a Week 14 bye for the third year in a row. Is the schedule bad because the team is bad or is the team bad because of the schedule?
yes.
Steelers got royally screwed in the second half of the schedule.
Why can’t it be random ???
I think you'd end up with situations where really strong teams end up having easy schedules, and bad teams having brutal schedules. Currently it's at least partially based on how well they did the previous year.
Mike north (VP of Scheduling) should have been fired for his comments. There have been a bunch of comments that makes it seem they aren’t playing favorites.
Every team florio mentions in his rant about feeling sorry for teams having to play 3 games in 10 days are the very teams the media, including Florio, have been over hyping all off-season. I say screw them. If the teams are so good, they should be able to handle it. Andy Reid is calling teams out because he is arrogant like his qb Mahomes. Rodgers hasnt been good for a few years. Somehow, he is still hyped through the roof. Now, when the league puts him to the test snd the media wants me to feel sorry for him getting a tough schedule. WTF!
The NFL has given the Cowboys a hard schedule every year since I started noticing this about 16 years ago. Yet, look how easy some of the better teams’ schedule will be. The NFL will push anything they can, to make it harder on a team they don’t like. The NFL dosent like Aaron Rodgers. Jerry Jones, or any team or person who stands up to them. They suspended Zeke Elliott for 6 games when he didn’t have any evidence against him, and never faced prosecution… they NFL can do whatever they want, they even threatened to kick Jerry Jones out of the league…. Now that your team is getting the same treatment, you have a problem with it and all the sudden “look what the NFL can do!” Yeah… welcome to the NFL.
And oh yeah… I’m sorry… didn’t Dez catch that ball? Yeah…..
CHIEFS ARE THE ONLY TEAM THAT SCHEDULE GETS EVEN EASIER AFTER WINNING THE SUPER BOWL
How is this schedule easier lmao? This might be one of the most challenging schedules in history. They had some of the most rest days of all teams last year. This year they have like negative rest days compared to league avg haha
I can hear the violens playing in the background.
Are we under a bridge? They literally play every team that was in the playoffs last year that they can.
Are you using all caps becuase your statement is so weak?
Chiefs had an unprecedented stretch of 6 straight games last season with a rest disadvantage vs their opponents. NFL has been trying to create parity with the schedule.
Shows you how fixed this whole entertainment league is 🤷♂️ is what it is
The NFL is neither scripted nor fixed. There are 32 individual owners who all want to win, and none of them are taking a dive to support your delusion. You think the 12 teams/cities/owners who have never won the SB are okay with that? Really?
so what im getting is....nfl rigged to get another swift bowl?
Not really. What Florio conveniently forgot to mention is that the four teams that play on Christmas Day also play three games in ten days.
@@jasonstaroscik1627Right!!+ I kept waiting for him to mention the other teams, but nope 😂
@jasonstaroscik1627 3 games in 11 days
@@mikep3813 Florio called the Bears playing three games from Dec 16 thru Dec 26 a ten day stretch, so I’m going by his standard. Whether it’s ten or eleven, the teams that play on Christmas are in the same boat.
@jasonstaroscik1627 On the plus side, they are playing vs teams that are in the same boat, so they are not at a disadvantage for those games. Plus, after that 3 game stretch they get 10 full days off until their next game, which will be played vs a team coming in with the standard 6 days off. Small advantage there.
League is rigged like wrestling with pre determined winners but everything between the lines is real
How exactly does that work? And do you know the winners before the game is played, or can you only "predict" the outcome after it is over?
