Many of these workers came from other towns and even states to help the Houston area. They didn't have to, but they came. Thanks to the few, they may not come next time. Grow up people and start acting like Texans!
After Katrina I was without power for around 10 days, this following Katrina later in the season when Wilma hit us as a cat 1 hurricane (I lived in Davie Fl) it was around 2 weeks for my community. The water tho- WATER- was contaminated so much and so often because of it all that I had a carbon filter put on my house. We had no landline, no cell service, no power- sitting ducks by the afternoon with Wilma. I had no choice but to put my infant and toddler in the car and drive north on I 95. Took almost 3 hours before I got to working phones and gas stations
I am very grateful to have power and do not believe the workers to be responsible for Centerpoint's gross negligence, but be clear, they are not the only ones. Leadership has left the Houston community in the heat. From the Lt Govr not accepting federal help that would have provided generators to Lina Hildago's bold face lie of "we are okay". I believe the workers should be handled with dignity bit do not state the community is hazardous when they are losing loved ones from a storm that happened almost a week ago. Have the same compassion you request
I blame this new mayor this is his city. Why isn’t he at this press conference? Why has he not addressed the problem with centerpointless? This all falls back on him!
Well the power comes in through the unincorporated areas where most of the damage was caused by a tornado was still being mended and those temporary repairs were re damaged. Mayor has no pull in unincorporated area.
I personally thanked them and asked where they were from and said God Bless Yall, brakes my heart they were treated badly
Yes it is ridiculous to threaten workers that are trying to fix the problem

Is anybody going to tell them that’s just how Texans greet each other ?
They may never come back. So sad.
Theses folks are hard working and folks in Houston fussing them? Sad let them work
That is crazy and I bet that person that pulled that don't even have a place to call his own stupid
My lights are finally on in Stafford Texas ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Years ago People in Katrina were doing the same Thang!!!!
Then they came here and continued their stupidity 😢
You can blame the media for all this..
Negative influence by the media needs to be held accountable 🤔🤔🤔
I'm greatful for the power and God Bless You'll. 🙏🙏
