Looking through these comments it's like so many of us have the same exact memories of this game it's so strange lol. Most of us hardly remember it but only recall the creepy ass environment and evil glove laugh, and also that none of us got very far lol. It's almost like a fever dream we all shared.
LOL ikr!! You put it so well. I somehow have mixed feelings about my memories of playing this as a kid, or more like struggling with it. Something about this game made me feel kinda creeped out even if it's a colorfur and probably not a scary game lol. Never got very far though, not sure if I only had a demo... but yeah you nailed it with your comment lol

I just remember my grandpa taking me to the store and saying I could pick out any game I wanted. I chose this game. I have fond memories of playing this while my grandparents were still alive. We were visiting them in NY at the time. I remember playing this game and getting absolutely obliterated. I could barely do anything. I think I got stuck on the carnival level and quit lol. I only remember that level and the treasure chest level. I remember the pool area with the fish, crab, and whale. I liked the look of that area I remember. I sometimes completely forget about this game until I randomly remember it. I do agree that this game is like a fever dream that I barely remember
Took the words right out of my mouth. That's exactly what I've thought of it 😅 There were some aspects about it that were enjoyable, but other than that - there's something about it that's off-putting. Like, the LSD part of the human mind.
Literally looked it up because it’s a memory in the back of my head but more of a creepy memory all I remember was a destroyed castle and the sky was red

20 years later at 26 I’m here searching this up trying to relive my past memories when I was a kid. The nostalgic memories man of playing this and my other Nintendo 64 games after school was over. So happy I grew up in this era of gaming 🥲
The music and atmosphere i n this game always would make me feel really sad and just really want to cry for some reason every time, obviously its because it makes me think about my childhood and cute sentimental things too like Disney and especially when it comes to Mickey and Minnie mouse because of the glove and all the magic theme that's about it because that's the same theme and representation of Disney especially when it comes to Mickey and Minnie mouse and the whole Disney company and the castle reminds me so much of Disneyland whenever I see it every time because these are all things I certainly do remember back from when I was little including having those mickey and Minnie mouse stuffed plush doll toys and going to Disneyland too, at I even remember just in these recent last two years I've had a stuffed Minnie mouse plush doll toy that which I had to get rid of, I've given it away which I'm even reminded of the most that which is also triggering those feelings and thoughts too because its making me really miss it even more😿.
@@ernestinegreene1621 I know what you mean. There's certain vibes in things that make me heavily long for better days. The Nintendo 64/PlayStation 1 and old video games make me feel that way. Something about the music and visuals are something it seems a lot of both gen y and z tend to fall back on for childhood nostalgia. The old sound of the music reminds me of old late 90s/early 00s internet aesthetic where things had a bit of a visual crunch to them. A lot of stuff had that same visual cartoon vibe at the time too so I can see why it brings Disney to mind. You're not alone though. It's a really bad time in history right now and almost any time is better than this one. I miss how things used to be.
2:59:44 It's s'posed to get quiet and not make that engine noise after it blows up. The best ever soundtrack i ever heard on a game. Such a unique game that deserves a remaster and some fixing of the movement controls. Loved the part when the garden slowly changes in to less dark and creepy as the progress gets better slowly.

Me after watching Kevin Temmer's Glover animation wondering what the hell Glover is and looking it up and finding this video: "Hey, this looks like a fun game!"
I had around 2-3 glimpses of that character burning in the back of my mind (mainly him jumping) for nearly 20 years and today. Omg. I finally found the name of this game! The realization hit hard. I am at peace now 😌
the only memories I have of this game was that it was a sponsor of WWF wrestling in late 1998, including being the presenting sponsor for the Rock Bottom PPV in December of that year. Yes, the fun, whimsical platformer about the funny glove sponsoring a wrestling show headlined by a match where someone got to be buried alive.
its good to know i wasnt the only one who couldnt beat this game 😂 im talking hours and hours of getting no where ....core memory unlocked with this for sure!
As a kid, I always thought what you see around 2:34-2:39 was rather amusing... The music afterwards sounded somewhat cheesy, but, it made it just as funny.
This was one of the first games I was gifted on Christmas, where I had to learn thag just because a game LOOKS fun, doesn't mean it actually is. I remember getting stuck on the Carnival levels forever for some reason, and that I was HORRIFIED at fighting the 3 chimps boss.
I always wanted but never got an N64 as a kid. But i recall looking over the Blockbuster game shelf as a kid and this was one of the many gameboxes i would see and marvel over.
The biggest problem, nothing is collected. No coins, no gems, no keys, nothing in the beginning. That's a very important key to successfully keeping your players engaged.

Darn, those controls almost drove me insane playing this (why does it reverse when you go in water?) and the whole standing on the ball thing got so slippery. Had to give up on it for my sanity after the third level.

Piko interactive is remastering Glover 64 and releasing it on steam platform first test and fix any bugs. Then release it to other platforms in 2021. 😊
Hmm really?? Interesting
@@ext93 UPDATE: The developers at Piko interactive are a bunch of trolls. They almost never keep their promises. Plus they are liers. They tweeted about finishing Glover 2. I asked them about an update status. They said they never announce Glover 2 development. Which is a lie they still they their tweets about finishing Glover 2. At this point I'm not holding my breath. I hate companies they stright up troll their fans. Please stay far away from their subpar game products. 🤬🙄😪😱
4/20 this year boiii
8:12 this was very close to being a (Some damage) run
Used to be one of my favorite games. I miss playing it😬😬
its good to know i wasnt the only one who couldnt beat this game 😂 im talking hours and hours of getting no where ....core memory unlocked with this for sure!
I used to have this game on PC when I was a kid. My oldest sister and I played it all the time and never got past Frankenstien.
Nice 100%. I'm having fun playing Glover in 2023.
All I remember is being able to bounce the ball to jump and running on it was pretty cool lol
The biggest problem, nothing is collected. No coins, no gems, no keys, nothing in the beginning. That's a very important key to successfully keeping your players engaged.
I think it’s hilarious when you drop a piano on the clown.
I do not remember the music for this game being this bumping.
That super frogger bonus round in the first world. I have no idea how you did it without falling through the cracks / sliding off
Yo this game gave me ptsd as a kid. The damn balloon elephants popping at the carnival place were soooooooo loud even with my volume all the way down.
It took me months on months to figure this game out but once I figure out how to play this game it became one of my greatest memories as a child even though this game gave me anxiety I loved it when I felt sad or bored this game made my day
Great news. Glover 2 is being finished by developer Piko interactive. After being cancelled years ago by Hasbro. The game was 80% complete when they announced they cancelled the development. Now Piko interactive has the rights to Glover. They plan to finish the game. Along remastering Glover 64. You can follow them on Twitter. Do a Google search. There are many articles about the news. I'm beyond excited about Glover 2 being finished. I can't wait to explore the worlds in the game.

This is nostalgia to me
@@kryectic1077 Same here. I grew up with Glover 64. Such a fun game. I love the worlds. And the cheats codes made the game super fun to play around. I hope one day I can play the squeal to Glover 64. Glover 2.
@@jaguar4120 I hope they manage to relase it in what's left of the year lol, thanks for sharing
Never could finish this game. Glad someone did and put it on here.
Same bird sound from ocarina repeated over and over. I'd recognize any sound from ocarina anywhere
At what part?
In the Castle's garden outside the levels.
Same!!! I immediately recognized the cuckoo sound lmao
I recognized some other sounds from OOT too, like the bats and a distinct metal clanging,,, I wonder if they were just basic sounds from a sound library or something
Darn, those controls almost drove me insane playing this (why does it reverse when you go in water?) and the whole standing on the ball thing got so slippery. Had to give up on it for my sanity after the third level.
I remember seeing a sale for Glover in a circuit City or Best buy circular when I was a kid. I played it but never beat it
Is Glover the final boss in super smash bros?
I knew i played a game where u are just a glove 😂 i thought i was tripping
watching this brings back the whimsical, dreamlike feel this game brought me as a kid. i keep wanting to yell at you for struggling with certain parts, but it was a huge reminder of how abysmal the controls for this game really were 😭
I never would've guessed that you had to do what you see around 12:24-12:32 when I was playing this game as a kid.
Also, how do you do that, exactly?...
I haven't played this game in so long.
I have never seen or heard of this game. But I have weird memories of this game.
I hope this game gets rereleased oneday.
I hope so too
Me to!
hey good news
Good news
This game is a sleeper hit. I think we rented it but the blockbuster closed while we still had it and it was forgotten about so we kept it. My brother was really good at it. I wasnt, but i loved it any way. Challenging and fun. And pretty unique. Some of the music and ambience was really good. And that evil laugh. I gotta get this game again.
