I know not that much German, but I recall, that they have "S", which they pronounce in English the same way. Whereas if a word of theirs have "sch" it will be pronounced similarly to the hebrew "Shin".
Yes. Interesting. Some Hebrew letters(5) have 2 sounds indicated with a dot. For simplicity I am not using the dot and just allowing either pronunciation. ב = b or v, כ =k or ch, פ = p or f, ש = s or sh, ת = t or th.
