I had an interview last Friday and about to begin my first actuarial internship next week. Your videos definitely help me with the interview. So thank you so much.

Does it add value to mention communication skills outright in a resume, or is that something that should be masked under relevant experience such as clubs or a planning event?

I generally feel that I am good at conveying my thoughts in simpler terms when I explain to my sister about the financial market or some things. But how do I find out how good am I in terms of actuarial terms??

I think it would work the same! Try explaining some actuarial concepts to your sister or other people not in field.

@@EtchedActuarial I mean I could see myself using the probability framworks, model-mapping skills & data structures but to what extent... I am really passionate to leave an impact on the motorcycle safety industry as well as being able to design my own some day... Sorry for being a bother!

@@rabimunif2078 if you are interested in motorcycles, you might want to study mechanical engineering. i don't think actuarial science is suitable though.
also, doing a double major with one of the majors being actuarial science is a bad idea, because actuarial science has a heavy workload.

I worked in a bio research lab in college where we used a bunch of fancy microscopes and new technologies that haven't been fully flushed out yet. I had to use all of these skills to find answers to a bunch of little problems to help solve the problems we were working on.
