Though I don't like the mega-corporation that is Microsoft, they were smart in foreseeing how much potential Mojang & Minecraft had at the time.
I just hope they can mix in the best features of both editions since it being bedrock exclusive completely shuts out Java players.
@@dtrch_7533 Thats basically what they have been doing. With all of the parity changes, I think its pretty clear they want to add all the benefits together and make them as close as possible.
Parity means adding exclusives to each other and/or changing something to be the same as the other version.
It's dumb how nvidia sponsored java players to make a video about BEDROCK shaders and not people like you who are a huge part of the bedrock community. But anyways, beautiful video and edits!! I'm glad to be a "sponsor" lol :)

Hey silent. Just saw this video and omg you put so much effort into the editing. Also I saw the whisper craft spawn and was wondering that when the wc s3 ends(I know it won’t end soon) you should use rtx in the world tour of both wc and truly bedrock

Since linus only got 40fps out of a 2080S on 4k, you must have an absolutely insane pc
Edit: nvm you have a 2070 max q, then there's probably something wrong with linus' pc test bench
i was running fine most of the time, depends on the rtx pack though. I couldn't get that jungle one to run well at all haha. They are certainly very power hungry packs!

Maybe Linus was running it without upscaling/DLSS. So he was playing full native 4K resolution.
Remember that RTX is still new so it is first gen ray tracing hardware. That's why without ray tracing Minecraft runs like 300fps but with RTX on it goes all the way to 60/70fps with a 2080ti

so glad you did this! the java players just didn't know how to work with bedrock, they were all saying you can't apply the textures to other worlds. And I was glad to hear that the new xbox will support ray tracing, i might actually upgrade my xbox for this. thx!

Appreciate the solid content as always, silent. One concern ihave - it seems there is a disparity between proper traditional lighting levels (to keep baddies at bay) and lighting that really stands out/immerses/takes advantage of RTX. A lot of the interior vanilla spaces in your vid looked good but seemed overlit/washed out in RTX (but are, as we know, properly lit for gameplay) and spaces that looked great in RTX looked like mob spawners in default minecraft. Thoughts?
yeah i'm not too sure how that will work out honestly. would be awesome if they added a debug screen, so we could just see the light levels. Would remove that problem:)
The funny thing is, in some places it looks like smooth lighting is turned off. Funny how that works. Looks amazing though

I think rtx is absolutely amazing!! But I always feel like if you can do something beautiful in vanilla Minecraft, you're an amazing builder! All that put aside, OMG THIS VIDEO WAS AMAZING!!! The pigstep is so hard!! I loved everything from this video!! Wonderful work Silent!

Looks like your render distance was kinda low. Foxy increased it to sixteen and the fog disappears for the most part. Have what did you use? I personally don’t like the fog too much.

Do you think that ray tracing will be used to affect mob spawning? Given that it affects block illumination, it should affect where monsters can spawn.
