Glad to see someone else doing embroidery
Yes 🙌.
I made my first beginner tutorial on my success in embroidery. With the first 2 months I was able to upgrade to a bigger machine! I have learned so much and want to educate more peeps!
I’m in the process of trying to get me one too. What brand did you end up going with, they are so expensive, but so many to choose from. Keep up the good work.
I also want to know what brand you went with for the embroidery
This is a good detailed video.
Thanks I appreciate it.
Thank you for this tutorial!
Ur welcome
I'm subscribed and looking forward to future videos. Thank you.
Thanks so much.
Great video tfs ❤
Thanks 🙏
That came out really good!!!
Thanks
I like the sweat that you are wearing.
Thanks 😊
Great Job!
Appreciate it.
New Subscriber! Excellent tutorial! I'm planning on getting the brother PE 800, definitely looking forward to more tutorials from your channel. Love how you show the mistakes and all. Thank you dear. ❤
Your so welcome. thanks for subscribing. Yes the PE 800 is a good starter machine to get the hang of it and see if you're going to like it. Although I'm looking into a multi needle one they are pricey and you don't want to waste money on one if it's something you don't end up liking.
❤
Thanks
Really enjoyed your video. I am new with embroidery. I have a pe 800 I just got a couple of months ago. I am trying to do the mama shirts. You did enlighten me on some of the things I wasn’t doing right. Your are a great teacher. Thanks can’t wait for your next.
Thanks so much I really appreciate that. I have the PE800 too been looking for a bigger one tho. I believe I got the design from Creative Fabrica.
Enjoyed your Tutorial, suggestions maybe you should place your camera 🎥 directly over your table. This way you’re not showing from The Side. Also you’re marking the dart on the sweat shirt. After use the Embroidery Target reusable stickers .This will help you from remarking. I did subscribe and keep up the good information , it’s needed and appreciated ❤
Thanks for the tip. Will definitely have to get some of those stickers. Right now I’m just using my phone to record hopefully I’ll be getting a camera and tripod to help better with my angling. Since this was my first video I wasn’t sure how/where to place it. I appreciate your feedback. Thanks for subscribing
Great🤗🤗
Thanks 😊
Great video! I love that you include your issues … much better than the perfect videos I watch! Did I miss you explaining the foam you used and what its purpose is? Also, I have a 5x12 frame like that for my Brother machine. Do you have any issues with the frame not fitting tightly? Mine seems to gap a little on the longer sides no matter how tight I have it screwed in. Thanks!
Thanks so much for your feedback. And yes including ur issues is always good to show cause you never know who might be having the same problem. They might be able to help me or I could have helped them as well. Trust me every project ain’t perfect. Also the foam I used was from Walmart since then I have brought some actual embroidery foam. The foam is to help give any project a 3D look. When I do thicker material I have notice my 5x12 hoop have a gap as well in one corner, I normally just make sure it tight and as long as it makes that drum sound it’s good for me. Hopefully is answers ur question.
I useis this stretch gauze tape. you can put it around the hoop to make the item snug/taut. It kinda looks and feels like the gauge used after you get your blood drawn or sports tape. That may have been where the idea came from. But it works. Hope this helps.
Thank I appreciate the feedback, you just helped the both of us. Will definitely have to try it out.
Hi there you did great 👍🏽👍🏽especially with this being your first tutorial… Love the outcome…!!!
The black outline in step one is a basting box… when using 5x12 hoop the box is automatically added to the stitch file when uploaded to machine… I don’t always use it because the file being split and stitched in two sections means two boxes… so depending on layout the box from 1st section may overlap into stitches of 2nd and you more than likely not know that until it happens (I hope that makes sense)…
Which brand/model machine are you using? Also, I use wooden chopsticks instead of my fingers when holding the fabric during stitching the thought of the needle coming to close to my fingers makes me nervous plus if needle hits the chopstick there’s less chance of needle break…
I seem to mess something up on almost every project but my mistakes teach me something new every time… I be doing a lot of praying saving my projects… thanks for sharing ❤🙏🏽
Hey, thanks I really appreciate that. I’m using the Brother PE800, but I’ve been looking to upgrade to a bigger machine just no luck yet. Thanks for informing me about what the black box is for. So when you use the box do u go back at the end an just remove the stitches. And yes your explanation makes sense. I seem to also start with my finger but once I realized it I switch to scissors or tweezers but I do need to get out of doing that before an accident happens. I might need to get some chopsticks because I’ve had a time where when I was using scissors it did break the needle. I really appreciate this encouraging but yet informative comment you posted.
@@SYGVisions you’re welcome… yes you remove the stitches afterwards… they are noticeable in length… not sure if you are aware that in Embrillance you can add a basting box to your other hoop sizes ex. 4x4 5x7 etc. but can not add it to 5x12 hoop in the software
@@bernadettetaylor4762 thanks didn’t know that
Excellent tutorial! What font did you use or is it a bought file? What are your measurements for MAMA? Thank you for sharing
Thanks 🙏. Believe I got file from Creative Fabrica
How did you get it to lay down the blue for all letters first then put fabric down and it do all letters then you can cut one time instead of taking off hoop multiple times? Thanks in advance!!
Very good question. If ur digitizing design urself just make sure u do all the letters first, instead of one by one and make sure they are done in the same color it will do it together. The reason some designs are done one letter at a time is because some people like for each letter to have different color fabric. Which give u the opportunity to do so. Hopefully that makes sense.
Lacretia, what is the name of the software/or program you said you were using? Your video was so informative. I’ve been wanting to embroider but didn’t know where or how to start. I thank you for your guidance! Very informative!
Hey the software that I’m using is Embrilliance Stitch Artist 2 which cost almost $400. But with this version you can create your own design. If you plan to just buy already digitized designs then you can just use the free version of Embrilliance. The software is pretty simple, easy to use. Although u can start with any size machine I suggest to start with a smaller machine just so that you can see if you’re going to really like it or not cause the bigger the more expensive and no need to waste your money if it’s something you might not end up liking. I hope you well, would love to be updated to see how it goes if you decide to start. I appreciate the feedback
@@SYGVisions I want to learn how to embroider, I may check with JoAnn Fabrics to see if they have a beginners class. I do sew but not embroider. I also learned a lot from you today! Will keep you updated once I decide on what machine I want to purchase. TFS!
@@sharonlee469 yes definitely look into it. Honestly it’s pretty easy if you plan to just buy your design cause the machine does it for you.
I love the way the shirt came out. I was thinking of trying my hand at embroidery.
Thanks I hope that you try it out and let me know how it goes. Good luck
How do I add a shape like you did for the box
Hey which box are you referring to, the one on the computer screen when i was designing it or the one when I first started the design on the machine.
Yes th color of your sweatshirt@@SYGVisions
In the software Embrilliance when your under the create tab there’s a circle with a down arrow click that it will bring up shapes. I just used a square to set it as my shirt color just so I can see how colors will look together
What machine are you using? Looks like mine. Brother f540e. Can i do it with this machine? Thank you for your video.
I did this on my PE800. U definitely should be able to do this on yours, just depends on what size ur machine goes up too.
@@SYGVisions thank you dear for your answer...i am new to embroidery. I just have to try try and do it. Just found the right hoop size for my machine and will arrive next week. I am 49 years, grandma of two grandsons and just learning new skilles. Greetings from the netherlands
@@user-rc6si5xc5p Your welcome. Yes, there will definitely be times that you will have to try again and again, just don't give up. If you need any help I'm here to help if I can.
Hi! Great video! What tension did you use?
Hey, thanks and thats a good question, I had it set to 3.
Did you sew it on the wrong side? I see a tag.
Thanks for checking but no. I believe what you are referring to is a grey tap at the top of shirt collar if so that tab is used to take hoop of off machine.
Did you call it “accuplay”?
I probably pronounced it wrong because I have trouble saying it. It's call applique which is a method of embroidery where pieces of fabric are sewn on to another piece of fabric.
What machine is this please?
Brother PE800
