    I can understand the crowd being a bit passive. Listening to this i'm not sure wheter i wanna dance to it or lie down, close my eyes and let my mind wander. I guess that abivalence is reflected in the crowd. Doesn't mean they weren't loving it. It's just a bit too cerebral for mindless partying. I think they were just paying attention.

      @@juanmartinmujicabuj7481 all he's using them for is effects,the tracks play through ableton so if he stood away and did nothing at all,his full set would just play by itself,I'm the biggest fan of hopkins ever,iv seen him 6 times and Im a music producer also so I can see what he's doing,he's just using effects to change the tracks a small bit and it keeps his hands busy to put on the performance.his performances now are alot more engaging but the way he used to play live like here for example,he's basically just putting on an act but that's fair enough cos his tracks are epic and he was more of a producer than a live performer so it took a few years for him to get used to the whole playing live thing.and I know he's putting on an act because when I started playing live first,I used kaospads and launchpads the same way,to just change the tracks with effects and trigger in consequential parts of tracks,basically to just be doing something

    This mix is so amazing.. Jon Hopkins has been a musical idol of mine for years, and idk why, but for some reason seeing this mix made me more excited than any other one of his I've seen.. I just couldn't help but smile the entire time watching someone I look up to so much in action, so in the zone, and precise.. I really wish I could have been there so he could look up and be assured that at least somebody in that seemingly dead audience truly appreciated his art...

    For the people leaving negative remarks about people 'not dancing hard enough'..
    It's about self-expression and there's a ton of variables that influences someone's way of expressing themselves. Mood, music, crowd, location, alcohol and other substances, recent experiences.. It's easy for these RUclips trolls to judge someone who's standing in the corner with their beer -- but what they don't see is what's going on inside. Maybe that person's enjoying the music even more than the guy going apeshit near the DJ booth.
    TL;DR -- you don't know shit about those people, don't judge.

    • @hitsounds
      @hitsounds 6 лет назад +1

      Edward Blackburn come on there isn't! You know what a 4/4 kick is right? The only track that has a consistent 4/4 kick is light through the veins. And even then he rolls off the lows for a decent part of that. There's a reason club music has evolved to be four on the floor with the lows going down to 50hz and lower..it makes people move.. that doesn't detract from the music but a club audience is there to feel the music at a physical level and respond to it physically more than emotionally or cerebrally..
