    This video goes to show, sometimes the shortest video doesn't have the best explanation. I was so confused after watching the first rule explanation video I found and this one actually cleared up a lot.

    Very well explained, thanks! This is the third video I tried and was far the best explanation.

    Thank you for the breakdown on how to play. The only comment I have is, wouldn't it have made more sense to show the setup for the game first before explaining how to play the game? Other than that, the explanation was clear and very informative. Thank you!

    How do you earn knights or towers?

      When you buy a building tile, if knights or towers are shown on the upper left side of the tile, you get them immediately.

    Wouldn’t you have been able to play that domino you discarded when explaining tile placing? Since it is touching the kingdom you can place anything right?

    The domino that you have to "play equally" in your example has a legal play

      In a 2 player game, but not in a 3+ player game.

      @@DFisherEvans I've only played 3 & 4 player games. Maybe I'm playing it wrong? Could you explain?

    • @DFisherEvans
      @DFisherEvans 2 года назад +2

      @@raymondspogo of course. There are two constraints when placing a tile: 1) your new tile must expand an existing territory (or touch your central castle tile); 2) your kingdom size cannot exceed 5x5 squares in size (or 7x7 in a two player game).
      In the example you timestamped, the tile they're trying to place is half swamp, half town. In their kingdom, there are no existing towns or swamps that can be expanded, so they would be forced to place it next to their castle square. The problem is that in a 3+ player game, that would be illegal because it would make their kingdom 6 tiles wide (which is beyond the 5x5 limit).
      In a two player game, they could place their tile next to their castle because they have a 7x7 space to work with.

      @@DFisherEvans Got home and watched it again. you're right I didn't notice the tile would make the Kingdom 6 wide.
