Thanks for posting this. I enjoyed it. The name of this episode is actually The Big Hands.
Get your cold beer and smokes ready for another episode of Dragnet
The lab guy looks like an actor who appeared on Andy Griffith.
14:22 Second episode with the Darts sign that Smith took to the station.
my favorite actor
Olan Soule. He was CSI before there was CSI. Quiet effective cast member.
Played the bailiff in a lot of Perry Mason episodes.
22:03 With a mustache like that, he's have to be guilty.
defo
Yea it was kinda hip ... in a bad way 😲
Did he really think he could talk his way out of it?
The guy who played the peculiar witness is billed as Cliff Arquette, who used the stage name Charlie Weaver later on Hollywood Squares. His shtick revolved around life at the Old Folks Home.
Grandfather of Roseanne Arquette and her siblings
91-1/4 LBS? That pretty exact.
Restored my eye! Cropped, mushy, I am pretty sure a much better version of this is on You Tube someplace. Whoever is posting these as "restored" should know better.
So glad he found mod. Sp ?
Thank you 😊
Why did you screw up the aspect ratio?0
Must have been cold as hell in those offices look at those heavy ass coats
big crane or big hands why 2 names ?
Wondering how they were able to get just about every character to smoke? It is really weird to see them all smoking and offering each other a cigarette. Was this show sponsored by a cigarette company?
possibly.
Yes Dragnet was always a cigarette sponsor. Usually Chesterfield but The radio show was originally sponsored by Fatima cigarettes but that brand went under
Many shows were sponsored by tobacco co's, but in the 50's, 60's, even 70's, almost everyone smoked. 9 out of 10 people would smoke. And in groups, bars, etc, one person would light up and it would trigger all to follow suit. The living room would be layers of blue smoke in the air. Thick. Walls and furniture were stained and stinky with nicotine. My own father smoked in the car with windows rolled up, and when my mom would say, Bob! Roll the window down, Becky has asthma! He would shiver dramatically and say it was too cold. But I made it ok although always counted my childhood if asked about my tobacco history by docs.
im on it
