Hair Spraying Dried Roses. Is it worth it?

Welcome back! Today we aren’t doing a DIY. Instead, I’m testing out a hack that many of you have given me down in the comments of my videos on how to dry roses. That is to spray the roses with hair spray. I’m going to be honest. I had no idea what that would do, or even the purpose of it. So, I decided to find out.
In this video I took 6 of my dried roses all different in colors and all different in length of time they’ve been dried. I didn’t have aerosol, so I used non-aerosol hairspray and tested out the hack. After spraying the roses, I let them sit for a week and this video is the results of what I saw.
This is my first time hair spraying my dried flowers. If I got something wrong that would massively change the outcome, please let me know in the comments and I’ll retry it.

I have a dehydrator to make dried apples, fruit etc. They aren't expensive. Got mine on Amazon. Anyway, they take the moisture out of the fruit. You can use different settings. They'd take the moisture out of the flower petals. M I'm going to try this with my roses and even a gardenia. Gardenia's turn black and get mold. I found that out the hard way after my wedding bouquet was "dried" and put in a behind a beveled glass frame. 6 months later they were black. That was big bucks down the drain. I'm determined to figure it out. Not with silicia. I hate that stuff. We've talked to a lot of florists who said that the dehydrator just might work. Fingers crossed! I've tried the aresol hair spray yrs ago. I dry my roses with a wire up the stem. Hang them upside down in a dark closet for them to retain their shape. Then later misted them with aerosol hairspray. It kept them from falling apart. I use my dried flowers to make a dried wreaths. They come out beautiful. I just want to see if I can dry a fuller roses and other flowers in a dehydrattor.
I still am SO SURPRISED How BEAUTIFUL Your Dried Bouquet of Roses are. My Doctor today said She sprays hers with Hairspray..... and after a year they still look good. SO, Maybe it's the kind of hairspray? But I like your unsprayed ones too. I WISH there was a way to Really RESERVE AUTUMN LEAVES!!!! Great Video. Is non-aerosol supposed to be better? Or can you explain why that was used instead of aerosol?
Honestly, I thought I had aerosol in my cupboard and I couldn't find it. That's why I used the other kind. :)

Can i use hair spray on dry flower to make them safe from fungi and termite .i have some roses from last three year 2 of them was destroyed by fungi and bacteria ,i don't know what to do , i want to keep them safe healthy forever pllz reply i m waiting

Can I use body spray?
I wouldn’t use body spray. Hairspray has a type of lacquer in it which is the reason it’s used for this. Some hairsprays have more lacquer content than others.
So, the higher the lacquer content the better it works. Some hairsprays are actually called hair lacquer… use those ones for best results.
