I would be okay if they made the series a little more mature, but they could keep in the fun visuals.that’s why people like the show in the first place.
I mean everyone is talking about how the show runners, are making it more mature and dark, but the seasons 1-5 (5 not so much this is where they start toning it down) got pretty dark.

And how Bloom is written like a Mary Sue character. I get that she’s the main character, but in 5-6 lead cast, it feels like everything centres around her, even things that don’t make sense.

I watched only some Winx seasons but seeing you redesign Bloom and Stella is reminding me of when I was little and would watch the show with my little sister.
I’m tired of seeing childhood shows being turned into “edgy” style because it’s always the same concept, they are apparently going to make a Powerpuff girls live action and it’s going to be about them resenting spending half of their childhood time crime fighting 🗿I’m tired of this concept being used over and over again, seeing winx also going to be like that makes me feel :/
I know right? It's like suddenly they pay edgy teenagers to write the stories. Come on! The original fans are way past that. We just want the core, appealing concept to be used and improved, not disregarded for a "better" concept
@@ceresgc Yes exactly! I wish they could re-do the whole Winx series but with fixing plot errors, weird background details, improving the characters and character development, etc.! And with BETTER animation, but without changing the original design concepts and all that!

Fun fact: Stella's crown of this design, was orginally going to be part of the OG fairy design. There is concept art of her on the web to check out as well with the other OG 4, but not Aisha's og fairy design since it was from S2 main design onwards. Even the enchantix concepts are out there too.
*Blue is very complimentary to red *Orange goes great with stella's blonde hair (also light powers) *musa's black hair goes with her red and later cyan blue outfits And so on

Your redesigns of Stella and Bloom are literally tugging at my nostalgic heart (something I know the Netflix reboot will never achieve). They're extremely great and I love your extra details to them. I was wondering, whenever you have time after your Winx Club redesigns and possible other works you'll be doing, if you could do redesigns of some of the characters from Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir, even if it's just Adrien and Marinette and their hero personas. Because Ladybug definitely needs a redesign. If not, that's totally fine.
It looks so bad... There's no color, no diversity, and no cheesy friendship/romance. Not to mention I have no clue where half the original characters are. They're already making a season 2 and I swear if my husband helia isn't in it, I will sue Netflix

Who said Musa was white my god! Melody is her home planet and the king of melody even dresses like a Chinese emperor which contrasts with all the other kings like sky's or bloom's dad. As a person who has watched almost every episode of Winx club (could not do season 8), I can whole heartily say Musa's parents look like people of Chinese descent especially her mom. Also kinda upset that the only specialist I see cast are sky and riven at east has Brandon...god Stella and Brandon are the power couple of Winx I mean flora and Helia are the healthies but they got rid of flo- oh I just noticed omitted two diverse characters there. Oh I went a bit ranty there Love your redesigns especially Stella's cuz now she feels like the fairy of the sun and moon like she originally took since her dad's the sun and her mom's the moon. AND I SWEAR TO THE ETHER IF THEY OMIT THE TRIX FROM THE ADAPTATION I WILL SUE.

Yeah, they completely messed up the clothing styles PLUS they mixed up their usual colors. Like seriously, just because Bloom has red hair she wears red. It was originally a light blue.

The Winx reboot huh. As someone who grew up with the series and used to be (arguably still is) a part of the fandom, I'm seething. And this is coming from someone who has always wholeheartedly embraced the edgier side. Netflix either fucked up or I grew up, most likely both, but I'm really not digging that edgy reboot. Not to mention making Winx as whimsical and colorful as it were yet a bit more mature wouldn't even be that difficult, goddamnit. Just make the characters a bit more shrewd and the stakes a bit higher. And I get the feeling that the audience, both old and new, would still enjoy themselves immensely, instead of with this--whitewashed dark academia edgy mess. Hrrrrr. Not to mention girls are actually all aliens--giving them subtle inhuman traits would have made so much sense and gave so much flavor! (Though Alfea no longer being that pink monstrosity is admittedly an improvement in my eyes. And Bloom's eyes glowing orange. But that's literally it.)

I love these! I especially love Stella’s redesign, like the night sky in her outfit. Adore it! I was thinking for Aisha/Layla and Musa using more things inspired by their specific culture set. If that makes any sense. Like, we know Musa is Chinese but maybe have her outfit inspired either by exactly where she would be located and or a time period? And for Aisha, I was thinking basing her design off of Western and or Southern Africa. The reason being-well, water. Obviously it can’t really be in the North or East because it’s far too hot to be like considered “hubs of water”. Ya know what I mean? XXD Anyway-that was just a suggestion! Love these redesigns! ❤️❤️
God these are so pretty. This Thanksgiving I got lucky - work gave everyone a voucher for a free butterball turkey, and gave out free pumpkin pies at the end of shift on Wednesday. So all my gf and I had to actually pay for was the mash potatoes, biscuit, and mac-n-cheese. Not sure what our eating plan for Christmas is, but I'm really missing my father's bread pudding right now.
If a studio ever wanted to do a reboot animation of the winx club they should consider hiring this woman. Bloom and Stella look amazing. Such a reboot if done well with creative designs like what's shown with just Bloom and Stella giving potential towards the rest of the Winx alone combined with a good plot line and decent story work done would make for a better show to watch then the live action that's been recently talked about.

They could have easily gotten an Italian fashion designer, even an inexpensive one, like the OG Winx Club animators did, or gotten the fashion designer(s) who did Mean Girls or Clueless, but nooooooo. They hired the woman who did the fashion design for Desperate Housewives 🙄
Absolutely love these designs!! As a Canadian, I actually celebrated Thanksgiving in October. Covid hasn't really affected us as hard as other parts of Canada, so we were able to visit immediate family. We go to my aunt's house and my grandma cooks a wonderful turkey, while my aunt makes a delicious carrot cake every year. It's always great getting to spend time with family, especially since my grandma's physical health has been declining in recent years and she doesn't get out as much as she used to.
I'm loving the outfits for them! Plus, they match in a way. Especially the uhhhh sleeves(?). Sorry. But honestly I love the coloring. The heels look great, and I like what you did with Stella: just giving her the uhhh bottoms. Sorry, I don't know what their called. And the wing part on the bottom of Blooms skirt. They look amazing!

Also I never understood why Blooms color was blue and pink when everyone else’s color is a bit related to their power but if hers is fire I was always expecting it to be like an orange, yellow, red mixture. I can't stop thinking about Aisha... the moment she was referred to as Layla, they started whitewashing her character and after a while, it got really hard to watch the only representation I had, on the show I loved so much, become less and less connected to me.
See, the thing is, as someone in the black community in Chicago, I knew more black Layla/Leila girls in my area than Aisha. So I was fine with the name until I found out her name is really Aisha, and that's when I wondered why they even changed it.

Just looking at the cover for this video, it already looks beautiful. I grew up on Winx for most of my life. And while the show's had its ups and downs, seeing so much hate for the Netflix adaptation makes me glad I'm watching the Rai English dub of the original show cause that's gonna take me a long time to watch all four seasons. So yeah, I love OG Winx.

Also I never understood why Blooms color was blue and pink when everyone else’s color is a bit related to their power but if hers is fire I was always expecting it to be like an orange, yellow, red mixture. And yes I know that fire is also blue and white buuuuuttt maybe it’s cause her hair is already orange/red but when I was younger it never made sense to me

I can't stop thinking about Aisha... the moment she was referred to as Layla, they started whitewashing her character and after a while, it got really hard to watch the only representation I had, on the show I loved so much, become less and less connected to me.
See, the thing is, as someone in the black community in Chicago, I knew more black Layla/Leila girls in my area than Aisha.
So I was fine with the name until I found out her name is really Aisha, and that's when I wondered why they even changed it.
Stella's redesign kinda reminds me of Lucy from the Fairy Tail Dragon Cry movie and I'm here for it!

omg! i just bought my little sister a switch for her birthday to help her stay motivated in doing good in school. and my family does the thing where we only really give gifts to the little kids to save money, so i dont really have much in mind. in general, i would like maybe a nice coat or jacket since i get so cold easily haha.

I grew up on Winx for most of my life. And while the show's had its ups and downs, seeing so much hate for the Netflix adaptation makes me glad I'm watching the Rai English dub of the original show cause that's gonna take me a long time to watch all four seasons. So yeah, I love OG Winx.
