Can you put up a comparison video for the rare earth blend and the power tap earth pick ups?. I am debating between these two but I can’t find a comparison video anywhere. Thank you!

At 1:23 he mentions he runs the rare earth blend through a bass EQ, but at 4:35 he says "but today I also am going through the Fishman Platinum Pro EQ". Does anybody have a recommendation for the best preamp/EQ to use with the REB.

Our Platinum Pro EQ Preamp DI is a great pairing for the Rare Earth Mic Blend for most applications. Peter Mulvey also frequently uses another dedicated bass EQ pedal to boost sub-bass frequencies (centered at 50 hz) that he prefers for his own sound. He is not using a Bass EQ pedal in this video, what you are hearing is just the Platinum Pro EQ Preamp DI.

I looked up his name and his gear it sounds like he usually uses a Boss Bass EQ pedal 7 sliders

Cutting the background music when he’s showing the tone of the pickup would be wooooooonderful

I bought one and it is useless because the pickup is taking all possible noises, EMI, hum, hiss, it is unmanageable. Moreover Fishman, Inc. support told me "You can't do anything with that and I hope we have been helpful". End.

I have one and it’s superb, best pickup I’ve tried.

I suspect you haven't a clue what you're talking about. Good luck anyway.

Eric Gudmunsen I have had numerous LR Baggs systems on my guitars and K and K. Nothing beats my two Matons with AP5 Pro, but the Fishman is the closest by far. Never had an issue with my Fishman.

John Washington Just to avoid confusion, my comment was addressed to Monsieur D.

This guy keeps posting this same comment on all the fishman videos. Pay no attention.
