- Ever wondered what would happen if Thomas the Tank Engine visited the world of Tugs? Well, now you can in this exclusive crossover special.
Thomas has been invited to work with the Star Tugs and the engines of the Bigg City Port. But as he adjusts to his new surroundings, there is trouble out at sea and it's in the form of the notorious gangster Johnny Cuba, who is out for revenge against both Captain Star and Captain Zero's Fleet...
This video can be enjoyed by any 'Thomas & Friends' or 'Tugs' fan of any generation. A big thank you is also in order for the constant support on the channel and be sure to look out for more new videos soon...
Imagine if David Mitton and his team did a special like this in 1990, after TUGS and before Season 3.

This is a perfect crossover for Thomas and Tugs. This is the perfect BWBA story. Have Thomas and Tugs interact is something imaginable and having Marklin/Puffa keeps continuity and having Ten cents and Thomas talk too is great.

Thomas visiting Bigg City Port to meet the Star Tugs and the engines that work there and also saved the day by helping Ten Cents, Zorran and Coast Guard capture Johnny Cuba!! We've had a Thomas and Shining Time Station crossover movie in the official show and now in fan-content - at long last (not counting Tales from Sodor and Sodor the Modern Years), we finally have a crossover episode between Thomas and TUGS for both fandoms to enjoy! And what a terrific audio special that combines both worlds of David Mitton.
I was amazed by how Thomas got to interact with the Bigg City Port characters including Puffa and Ten Cents, as well as helping the Star and Zero Fleets save the day by stopping the dangerous gangster Johnny Cuba who makes a great comeback for revenge. It makes sense for Thomas to help on the Dock Railway as the E2s were dockside engines at Southampton on the LBSCR.
All that's left now is a crossover special between Thomas and Theodore Tugboat (yes Theodore is set in the real Big Harbor in Halifax and his whistle is often heard in the CGI Series during scenes that take place at Brendam Docks. Not to mention Robert Cardona is the producer, director and writer of the show too).

so, THIS is How Thomas first met the Bigg City Tugs! I can tell that it was no cakewalk dealing with Johnny Cuba, that's for DAMN sure! but it's a good thing that Villains always lose.

My only nitpick is that the story felt more focused on the Tugs then Thomas, and i kinda expected more of what he got up to work wise round the port to balance it out; maybe a scene where he makes a delivery up-river and meets Billy Shoepack, or teaches Little Owl a trick or two with shunting trucks?, or at the very least talking to Frank & Eddie the Rail Barges?.... just a thought, Not to mention the total missed opportunity at the end for Thomas to put Top Hatt in his place and prove his rude words wrong. Plus i do wish more Tugs had had a cameo like O.J, Izzy Gomez, Hercules or Lillie, but i can't deny this was still a good story.
David Mitton & Robert Cardona would be proud. ❤ Here's hoping for a Part 2 in the future where we can get all this. 😉

Wow, this is certainly amazing! I really fancied a crossover between Thomas & Friends and Tugs! After all, they're both made with models, directed by David Mitton! You wrote so well! Oh, and I did enjoy the return of Johnny Cuba! 😃👏
And I almost forgot to mention that the other tugs were on Sodor, such as Wilbur, Gaz, Dixon and Hayley and of course Drollan, maybe if the tugs at Bigg City Port would visit Sodor for a week like Thomas did, maybe they would catch up again and make new friends too

I like it, it’s wonderful and perfect 👍 a splendid job on it Kiefer Adams, and seeing Puffa, formerly Marklin, has made Thomas very happy to see his old friend again, and I did believe you very well, because both Thomas and friends and Tugs are both made by the same person David Mitton the director, maybe sometimes Sodor would have some tugs around their harbours if they could, but then again, they do make a grand friendship together

Can you imagine that, first the National Railway Museum in York, now Bigg City Port, where EVER will Thomas end up next? (Not counting CGI series at all, just model series and Railway Series for THIS guy XD)
This a cool story and all but why would Thomas travel across the world just to work in a harbor for only a week. The cost to ship him would cost more than the work Thomas would do. It would be more economical for captain star to rent an engine that’s maybe a state or two away.
