About using multiple Kinect sensors (got this from kinect to vr discord): There are multiple practical and technical factors at play that make implementing multi-kinect non-viable. • In the Kinect for Windows documentation, it is said here (docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/windows/kinect-1.8/dn188677(v=ieb.10)) that while it's fully possible to do skeleton tracking from multiple Kinect sensors at once, pointing two of them at the same play area would cause infrared interference, and the tracking SDK does not provide an easy solution for merging the skeletons together. • The USB bandwidth requirement for a single device is already often a limiting factor and causes random disconnects for some users. Attempting to run two at once would be very difficult. • The minimum distance required for tracking gets doubled in two directions of your room. (Most of us are in small apartments or college dorms) • Combining the data from both sensors without making a mess is about as hard as rewriting the tracking code from scratch. At that point, you could create a much better and modern tracking tech based on the kinect depth map. TL;DR Support for multiple Kinect sensors will never happen.
I have a rift and a quest. The rift I got working but after about 10 min in it stops working. The quest I also got working and same thing. A few min in and it stops
In theory, yes. Everything in the SteamVR environment should continue to be functional as they have been. But as I mentioned in this video, processing power seems to be the bottleneck. I had to turn down supersampling and other such settings to maintain quality.
@@sleet_gaming it may be also because your running oculus software THEN steamvr. you could cut it down by running virtual desktop (paid) or ALVR (free) instead.
Got this.but despite setting it up, and tv mounted, I'm unsure if it works with my quest 2 beatsaber? How do I check? Where are the compatible games on pc too?
What seems to be the problem? The setup i have in this video is using LIV for rendering the avatar and superimposing into your game. Thus, whatever games are supported by LIV should work (incl. Beat Saber). There are also other software out there, but I'm less familiar with them...
Hello! I don't have the One Kinect, so I don't have first-hand experience, but I've read that the tracking and minimum distance is noticeably better than the 360 Kinect. With that said, if the One Kinect is significantly more expensive, not sure if the improvements are worth the extra cost since the 360 Kinect works just fine, as you can tell in my videos. 👍
Hello! Does Air Link by itself work for you? I'm aware that Air Link is not working for a lot of people (for me, I had to revert back to an older NVIDIA driver to get it to work). But once you're in steam, you would fire up Driver4VR like you would otherwise.
@@sleet_gaming I can give it a try. Airlink by itself works just fine. But it’s to my understanding that I have to open up steamvr through airlink, THEN open up whatever game I want to play.
@@JavaPROx That's exactly right. Airlink, then SteamVR, then Driver4VR, then LIV (if u want to record gameplay), and finally the game. It's a lot of things running, and my RTX2070 at the time of this video was barely able to handle everything.
Is this KinectToVR, i.e, Xbox 360 Kinect or Playstation Eye? I am looking for body tracking without base stations. Would you advise if these cameras can do away with these cumbersome tracking base stations?
This is Driver4VR, though KinectToVR would work too. Either way, you'll get full body tracking without having to wear any trackers and placing base stations. However, it's only a 30fps front-facing camera, so there's are a lot of limitations. The biggest limitation is that you cannot turn around. Still waiting for the future promise of being able to use two Kinect cameras ✌️
@@sleet_gaming Thankyou! This video give me an impression that the Driver4VR would be easier to setup than KinectToVR. BTW, the liv.tv/ has got me into downloading a Testflight for iOS. Please also let me know if the LIV from SteamVR would also match the software requirement.
@@chuejai I'm not sure if I understand your question. The iOS app is for mixed reality. LIV from SteamVR is what you'll need for the avatar setup I have in this video (and check out my other guide for the setup process).
what is holding up using two kinects for 360 degree full body tracking? People having been asking about this for seven years.
Wish I knew the answer to this as well 🙁
Idk, maybe it's because they will conflict with eachother or something

Fantastic input. That really helps bring closure to the multi-kinect dream we've all been having 👍

You probably only have the demo of the software
Can i do quest link cable vrchat with driver4vr?
I have a rift s and 3 vive trackers, would they still work if I got a quest 2 and used Air link for those?

Is the Xbox One Kinect much better than the 360 Kinect?
You'd think so, right?

The Xbox one Kinect has a thermal thing in it and not recommended to use with the software
How did you get your driver4vr to work with airlink? Mine only wants to work through virtual desktop.

Will it work in vrchat?
It definitely will 👍👍
