I too love Widor... such a master of grand music. And I too think he's underrated. But I think a day will come when he will be more highly and permanently regarded.
This is one of the best recordings I've heard of this piece - well balanced, and excellent upper voices. I think it could do with being a bit more "angry" though.
I agree I am stunned from the well balance of the voices. And the only thing what I miss is a bit more power the bass and tenor and a bit more emotion.
This is insanely beautiful music. I love Widor and he seems very underrated to me. What a master of organ he was. Thanks so much for sharing !

some of the men have to much tremolo! its mystic music and not an oper solo aria :-(
