Honestly I believe that too, and I did get against the idea of Chara being the bad guy but I think they have seen too much of Chara/Sanemi being the bad guy that they would get confused but if you want I can make another AU where they can react to that and they have seen none of this and that’s the vid of Sanemi’s past they can react to

I forget where exactly but the narrator for the video points out that Chara is incredibly impressionable due to their young age and that waking up after their death muddles their head as they get influenced by the Player's choices.
