@@ruly8153 I believe Bale has said in the past that changing into a character for him is a sort of lever or switch. He doesn’t necessarily become the characters or manifest himself into them but turns on a mental switch. From Christian to [Insert Character]. Then switch off back to Christian There is a likelihood that he applies this to changing accents. Which is how he would prevent his actual accent from being influenced.
He’s NOT Welsh! Both his parents are English. They just happened to be in Wales when he was born. They moved around a lot. He was raised in London, spent some time in Portugal and then came to the US after Empire Of The Sun with his dad to further his acting career.
well she's like she's not even there, that's what annoying you're feeling and it's a "let's goto break" "how do I do my job?" distraction annoyance we're seeing, plus she's racissssssst
'What?' shouted Tom Bombadil, leaping up in the air. 'Old Man Willow? Naught worse than that, eh? That can soon be mended. I know the tune for him. Old grey Willow-man! I'll freeze his marrow cold, if he don't behave himself. I'll sing his roots off. I'll sing a wind up and blow leaf and branch away. Old Man Willow!' Setting down his lilies carefully on the grass, he ran to the tree. There he saw Merry's feet still sticking out - the rest had already been drawn further inside. Tom put his mouth to the crack and began singing into it in a low voice. They could not catch the words, but evidently Merry was aroused. His legs began to kick. Tom sprang away, and breaking off a hanging branch smote the side of the willow with it. 'You let them out again, Old Man Willow!' he said. 'What be you a-thinking of? You should not be waking. Eat earth! Dig deep! Drink water! Go to sleep! Bombadil is talking!' He then seized Merry's feet and drew him out of the suddenly widening crack.
I think because he’s trying to rehearse an accent for the character he was playing at the time, he tries to stay in whatever accent he needs to act in so I think he’s just trying to be consistent with that here
It seems like Christian Bale can't remember his real accent.
In the American psycho interview he sounded British but this sounded quite off compared to that accent. It’s similar but not entirely the same
I suppose if you were to spend all your time with Americans and talking like them on purpose, it would make sense for his accent to begin to fade.
@@ruly8153 Gary Oldman has had to hire people to help him with keeping his English accent after movies where he used American Accents.
Christian Bale is a true artist, a rarity.
So versatile he even changes his accent between interviews

why does he stutter so much?
