Really enjoyed this . I absolutely agree, walking at a pace , in which to honor Nature as it appears , is so important. Viewing as if it's the first time you've encountered the magnificence of it all . A treasure and pleasure to have felt I walked this with you Chris .

The love he has for his dogs ❤... Not strange at all, as he says about mixing their ashes, it's tremendously romantic and pure love. Understand completely. If you never experienced the love, true love, between you and a dog, you're missing out.
The grief and sorrow almost destroys you when they go but the love, lojalty and comfort they so generously give, is worth everything. ❤

Chris is such a lovely guy and his passion for nature is quite moving.

Watching this for the first time was literally life changing for me. It's when the penny finally dropped for me and caused my own AHA moment when I realised that I understoood exactly what he was talking about in terms of his Aspergers. Life has become so much easier since learning loads about the subject and getting my own diagnosis at the beginning of last year.

6:57 => The relaxation that comes with floating on a small river is AMAZING ! I have an inflatable Kajak (Intex Excursion Pro 250 EUR on Amazon) which I use for 5h floating trips on the river Sieg near Bonn/Hennef in the hot summer. I am self diagnosed autistic (45 years old - diagnosed at 38) and it is a ritual that I do EVERY year a few times :) I can HIGHLY recommend it to any autistic nature-lover ! An inflatable cushion for your back is much better than the original seats, btw ! I stripped the boat of all accessories so that it is super comfy :)

Excellent!what are some of your traits for autism that caused you to self diagnose if you don't mind me asking?thanks

    • @19Marc79

@@stealthyguy1784 Too many to write down here ! An autism quotient of 40,4 (across 4-5 times repeated over a course of a few years) in the Baron Cohen screening test and finally a biography that makes SENSE are the main pillars of my self diagnosis.

I love the words and phrases he uses such as the 'sweating sandwhiches'. Love walking and take my granddaughter with me - she loves learning all about the wildlife, can identify plants, trees and birds. Began to name things when she was 6. I share his love of dogs too. Such an interesting person.

Thank you so much for uploading this! So much love for Chris. His walk of all the walks of the series really has stayed with me so it's been a complete pleasure to watch it again. So glad he lingered by those hedgerows and learned to love The Nature with every part of his being. So glad he managed to ward off the darkness with the dogs who surely loved him as much as he loved them.

To me, it makes perfect sense that Chris Packham would discuss suicide and mental health as he is near Winchester Cathedral, because I actually visited the Cathedral and lit a candle on the day of Chester Bennington's funeral.

I’m extremely surprised to see Chris not pointing out the Itchin is a privately owned river and the illegal practice of swimming in it. The place where the swimmers are on the bank is now over used as an exit point for the 100’s of trespassing ‘swooshers’ (all signs of No Swimming being pulled down/ignored as they claim they are not swimming but swooshing)
I would be very please if Chris were to return now in 2024 and just witness the damage done along the banks
