Hey everyone! How are things going with finishing perfumes this year? 🤗
Sometimes i think i need 150 fragrances to be able to choose , but then it frustrates me i cant finish them 🙄, and buy more
One thing that helps me manage a large collection is curating 10 fragrances for each month and rotating them. That way I'm not digging through and picking from a huge amount which can be so overwhelming.

I finish a few bottles a month on average, typically once a bottle starts getting low it triggers me to just want to use it up. If I love it I repurchase and if not then it opens up space for other things. Also if I like the scent but don’t love it, I definitely use as a room spray.
Zero empties for me, Arlene! But I’ve stopped focusing on using anything up. There *is* a sense of accomplishment that comes with that, or it can be the “permission” we impose to buy something else. I’m deep into the hobby enough that I own more perfume than I could finish in multiple lifetimes, AND I underspray - so those rules no longer apply to me personally. :) For perfumes that I want to experience but not necessarily wear, I spray them in the steam of the shower just before stepping in -similar to those shower fizzies that are made to dissolve slowly. Oh it’s wonderful to have the scent swirling all around for a minute or two. I do this especially for scents like the 4711 Remix you showed or cheapies. (Spraying the sheets would be a no go for my partner.)
I have a few of those H&M cuties too! Specifically Pear, Yuzu, and Vanilla. So nice for the price. I often wonder whether Demeter doesn’t focus on making their scents last longer because A) they’d be too expensive due to ingredient costs, or B) they don’t think there’s a large enough market for single note realistic perfumes - again boiling down to to ROI. If you ever meet the owner and do an interview, please ask them! 😉

I use up my perfumes by limiting my collection numbers so I’m more likely to finish and have room to try something new. Of course I have current lifers but yeah, enjoy them at home and again when the scent dies down. Use them anywhere. I also limit the amount of beast mode fragrances in my collection because I literally don’t have frequent special occasions to use them up or I’m usually not in a frequent mood to smell beastly. It all depends on my needs really.
Out of the whole plethora of perfumes most are never finished. I get bored with them, give them away or even throw them away. One that I HAVE finished quite recently is White Musk by the Body Shop. And I have received another bottle of it for Christmas. Hooray.
Please stop throwing away. It's bad for the environment
I am trying to use up my fragrances 🙈 For 2024, I resolve to buy only travel size fragrances and IF I use up them, then I'll move on to purchasing the next larger size. We'll see how that goes 😬. I don't think I used up any fragrances this year, but those with the largest dents this year are Swiss Arabian's Casablanca, particularly now with the cooler weather (those grape and caramel notes!). Such a cozy fragrance. Also taking a hit is my Nishane Ani. I love this spicy vanilla, and I plan on keeping it in my collection forever. I used a whole lotta Bianco Latte, too. This fragrance is done sooo well, pairs with so many other fragrances, and is a beast to boot! As an Ami living in the Rhine land, I was happy to see the new 4711 flankers getting some love. Cologne's most famous export: cologne! 😍In your search for a Pina colada fragrance, have you tried Liesure in Paradise by Simone Andreoli? For me, it's summer in a bottle. Love the coconut and pineapple notes!
I have some I'm working on. Almost gone. My bedtime scents go the fastest. I spray me and the bed and I just have about 10 I like to use before bed.
I finished my Armani eclat passione definitely going repurchase. . Finished 2 Chanel chance Eau tendre and Eau vive , finished the guava bikini season sol janero
Finished my new miss Dior. Finished my clarins green one treatment fragrance, repurchased. Finished my jo malone English pear and grapefruit pomegranate. Finished my kayali yum citrus 08 and red apple
I rarely finish bottles. But I have finished a few this year!
black opium extreme travel size, a sol de janiero 62 (replaced with larger size), Ari, juicy gold couture, Chloe nomade absolue decant (bought full bottle), jimmy choo edp travel size, Zara femme. Decant of Amouage portrayal ( bought full bottle), and a few samples.
I expect to reduce my samples significantly in 2024, and finish up 4-5 travelers and decants and 2-3 full bottles.
Hi, I keep 6 bottles in my weekly tray, twice a year I declutter (Selling or gifting) the ones which I did not reach for during the past 6 months. My goal for 2024 is keeping my most loved fragramces/selling the others/low buying/no blind buying.
I have a lot of fragrances, all of which I have worn and enjoyed, some more than others. I rotate what I wear a lot so many of my perfumes are mostly full. I wear perfume every day and have not finished even one bottle this year! I'll probably never use them all up.
I emptied one 50 ml, three 30mls and one 10 ml this year, but the dents I put in many bottles - baybeee, end of 2024 will have a ton of empties.
I have sprayed my bedtime scents on my linens. Not always but during those times that I want to be completely enveloped in fragrance. Have never sprayed furniture though. My couches are leather lol
Is it bad that I don't want to finish up my perfumes? 😅.. I used to finish up perfumes when my collection was small, but now, my collection is huge and I love all my perfumes ❤. I have to much love in my heart apparently 😅.

I emptied an 50 ml bottle of Narciso Rodriguez Musc Noir within a year, as well as a 30ml Alien by Thierry Mugler (current watered down formula), and few others I’ve had for many years. Great video. I do spray my pillos cases and my sofa, sometimes towel, hand towel and kitchen towel. Car carpets and stuffed animals, also! My hair bit now it is shorter, so not that much anymore. 😊

I emptied my bottle of Jimmy Choo Illicit and a couple of travel sprays this year. I don't always like a fragrance on my skin but love the smell so I will use those as fabric and room sprays.
I’ve sold or given my sister bottles I used 50% of: MFK GFG, my second JM Scarlet Poppy bottle, and Kilian rolling in love. She doesn’t run through fragrances so I know I can get a decant whenever until it’s done. My friend begged for Cheirosa 68 and I gave it freely because I started to not mesh with it. I use freshies with a little left as room sprays to finish them off, when I’ve moved on to the newest freshie in my collection. But that’s why I don’t buy too many freshies because I always prefer a few over the rest since it isn’t my go to profile. If I did, I would be using too many overpriced room sprays, especially since I have and prefer fresh candles to fill the room with scent.
I spray fragrances on the filter of my vacuum cleaner too.
I finished another bottle of Light Blue, and Mercedes Benz Rose. I gave away several bottles to family since my taste has changed. I do use perfume in my curtains and pillows, blankets etc, but mostly I use fragrance mists.
Happy new year! I never finish a bottle, have too many. I bought a few scents this year that I regret and I’m trying to figure out if I can make them reed diffusers. I’m layering more to “fix” scents that I feel need to be sweeter or are missing a note.
Hi there..love your videos...I spray perfume 3 times a day so I managed to finish like 12 bottles this year...some cheapies are used as body sprays so they run out fast actually...I make a tray of the perfumes I want to finish...never declutter...use them at home if I don t like them as much as before or spray my sheets...

On one of your videos, you recommended the 71 and I now use it as a house spray, 😢 it’s a skin scent and I deeply regret buying it…

Arlene have you tried the body wash A la rose or oud satin mood or Aqua universalis curious how the MFK body wash and oils last compared to the perfume?
