I lusted after a Gios Torino as a teenager in traditional Italian blue, campag super record groupset...out classes today's machines with artistic ease..
That Superleggero is gorgeous! I have a custom Tommasini steel bike that was also chromed before painting; absolutely beautiful and a real pleasure to ride.
The Pinarello Dogma F is the quintessential "dentist bike", at least here in Italy. It's like a Harley Davidson motorcycle: mostly bought by guys in their mid-life crisis who want to feel younger
I have a Dogma F. I was hesitant to buy an all-purpose race bike since I ride on bad tarmac often (and obviously because it’s silly expensive). Riding on 28mm Conti’s (on Princeton Carbon Works 6560 strada wheels), it rides like an absolute dream. Potholes? No problem. Cobbles? No problem. Corners like it’s on rails, and while I might not descend like Pidcock in the TdF, I’ve beat a lot of strava downhill PR’s. That said, the steel Willier is absolutely gorgeous and is probably the only production non-carbon bike I would consider buying….but I’m a heretic and I’m not putting Campag anything on it. Maybe Bora wheels, but Shimano group set for sure. Sorry not sorry. 😂
I have the Dogma F on Campy group and wheels. It is insanely priced. However, very similar to driving a Ferrari or wearing a Rolex or cashmere - it is not for performance, but for the luxury. To experience the luxury and pleasure of handling something so beautifully designed, engineered and finely crafted. And it is silent, cordless, smooth and quick AF. An utter pleasure. And the experience is worth every penny.
You should have featured Basso. Bianchi completely lost its way. The Specialissma is hideous, overwrought and generic all at the same time. The color is completely uninspired. Wilier and others seem to capture Italian mystique, history and innovation in a way the Bianchi does not.
Just like a BMW manufactured in South Carolina is not a real BMW, an Italian bike manufactured in Taiwan or China (like Pinarello, Bianchi, Wiklier, Cipolini) is not truly Italian. At least Basso is manufactured in Italy, thus it is truly a real Italian bike.
considering one can get a small car for the price of let`s say -- the Colnago -- these prices of bikes today are just ridiculous !!!! Absolutely insane -- I would never ever spend anything near this much money, even if I had it ! Even 5000 is insanely much for a bike !!!
Wouldn't go any where near Battaglin if I was you. On going dispute since Dec, very poor quality welding and paint finish. Seems they have no quality control in place on the whole build process.
Italian dreambikes? Where is the Sarto Rasa, Battaglin Portofino R, Passion XXTi Disc, Stelbel Nina? Those are dreambikes. The ones in this video are a bit ordinary and boring compared to those. Exept for that Wilier Superleggera, that is gorgeous.
It's a missed opportunity not to showcase Basso's brilliance. Bianchi seems to have veered off course completely. The Specialissma, in particular, is a jumble of unimpressive design, appearing both overdone and lacking in character simultaneously. The color choice is utterly uninspiring. Other brands like Wilier effortlessly capture the essence of Italian mystique, history, and innovation-a feat that Bianchi falls short of achieving.
Yawn, how predictable - Colnago, Pinarello, Bianchi & Willier. So many other Italian bike brands could have been mentioned - Cinelli, Fondriest, Casati, Ciocc, Gios, Tommasini, Somec, Bottechia, Basso, Battaglin and many others that haven’t come to mind.
C series Colnago bikes are not sexy anymore because nobody races them. They are a Gucci handbag now (no offense to Gucci). I would still love a Colnago Master. The V4R is made in Taiwan. I would also add a Cinelli stainless steel frame. De Rosa for sure.
BEE-AHN-KEE, not BEE-ANKY. CALM-PAHN-YOLO. What is it with you people? Hint: Spring for some paint, mate! Your video studio looks like the inside of a shipping crate.
Which Italian road bikes do you dream about?
As an Italian, those one actually made in Italy, like 3T, not those one made in others factory and rebranded like Bianchi and Pinarello
Da italiano sogno una Colnago V4RS!! ❤
tarmac sl
Wilier Triestina.
@@giovannisilipigni4538 ??? V4RS fatto in Taiwan.
I lusted after a Gios Torino as a teenager in traditional Italian blue, campag super record groupset...out classes today's machines with artistic ease..
I love Gios Brand
De rosa !!!!
Exactly .
That Superleggero is gorgeous! I have a custom Tommasini steel bike that was also chromed before painting; absolutely beautiful and a real pleasure to ride.
I'd take Filante by Wilier as a modern bike, but a steel Colnago is still a dream of mine.
The Pinarello Dogma F is the quintessential "dentist bike", at least here in Italy. It's like a Harley Davidson motorcycle: mostly bought by guys in their mid-life crisis who want to feel younger
That’s all pro level bikes. No amateur needs these overpriced products.
Cringe AF yeah.
To bad all Pinarello´s look like absolute shit covered in shit. Grivel for example. LOL!
I have an old CBT Italia rim brake steel frameset, with French threading. That's MY dreamy Italian road bike!
Gotta say.. having seen the blue Astana Filante in person, it will always be my dream bike
Love that steelie willier
Pick of the bunch. Simply stunning and a total head turner
De Rosa Titanio..👍
Bianchi and campagnolo ❤

+1 for mentioning FMB tubulars on the Wilier. They now have a linen fabric tubular, which is really cool.
Wilier ❤😍

Bianchi... but these are all spectacular
Thé best bike video y never saw, thank you so much
That Seperleggera is a beauty. I wouldn’t dare to ride it lest it gets scratched.
My Colnago C40 all day over any of these!
Number 1 Italian dream bike: Pegoretti Responsorium.
Lovely bikes, I'll take the Bianchi....
No arguments from me, please take it.
I want the Williers. They would go nicely with my other 2 Williers; S7 & Centro Air.
DEROSA 70 !
❤❤❤
I have the Dogma F. What is the brand/model of bar tape that you show here on the Bernal bike? I love that matte, finishing tape free finish.
9:24 just look at Cavendish, literally LOOKING for that elusive record Stage
Go Cav!
I hope he gets it. He'd definitely have a better shot on a bike that's actually fast though
Apart from the c68..are any of these still made in Italy?
i own Superleggera from 2019 ... the frame is made 100% in italy
Nope, only the c68 can be classed as an Italian road bike
Il Willier Superleggera è sublime...
My condor frame is a steel frame made in Italy. Paired with 32mm tyres, it's a real mile mucher
Got to be a Colombus framed steel bike, with traditional geometry........
Passoni ! 😀
Subscribed magnífico 🍀🎩🇺🇸🇺🇸🫖
The Wilier is beautiful until you see the giant HED lettered wheels. Bolt up some Princeton Carbonworks, and you have a gem set up
Wilier please!
Where is the Officina Battaglin Portofino? Like the Superleggera….but nicer 😄
You should have featured Basso. Bianchi completely lost its way. The Specialissma is hideous, overwrought and generic all at the same time. The color is completely uninspired. Wilier and others seem to capture Italian mystique, history and innovation in a way the Bianchi does not.
They are paid... no chance for differentiate
That's what i don't get with Bianchi. They're the oldest bike company, yet they fail to stay relevant
Came here as well to bemoan the Basso omission. De Rosa too.

Officina Bataglin is my dream italian bike. Then De Rosa Anima.
Officine Mattio SL the way to go

Currently selling a wilier team gtr… more or less unused. :)

Those are dreambikes.

Exept for that Wilier Superleggera, that is gorgeous.
Nothing is special about any of them
Great video and presentation but boy do I really hate all the BS "aero savings" numbers quoted by bike manufacturers.
How can you have two Williers and zero De Rosa??
wilier all the way
Colnago or Basso for me
you forgeth De Rosa
Shouldn’t that video be marked as advertisement?

Those Battaglin bikes are incredible!
BikeRadar: "Sorry, we meant: Top 5 Dreamy Italian Road Bike Prices"
Gorgeous and all cost as much as used motorcycles…ridiculous. I’ll be sticking with my aluminum rim brake Bianchi pub crawler.
How about my custom build I made...
Nice Chinese “Italian” bikes
Bicycling has gotten too expensive with marginal gains. Most buyers will eventually gravitate to China.
Fear not, these frames are made in Asia as well, except the C68 and the steel Wilier. At least Campag still makes most of their stuff at home.
C series Colnago bikes are not sexy anymore because nobody races them. They are a Gucci handbag now (no offense to Gucci). I would still love a Colnago Master. The V4R is made in Taiwan. I would also add a Cinelli stainless steel frame. De Rosa for sure.
Top 5 Chitalian road bikes...😉..
Love Italian bikes, don't love the prices however. Colnago..€13k for a bike...er no.....
BASSO
forget the best...DE ROSA, SARTO (find the web , exepcional) and a super exclusive iron/carbon frame OFFICINE BATTAGLIN, ......from caracas
SARTO??
Woo what ever happened to 3T thumbs down for me
No Pegoretti, this bloke has no idea
Dogma is so ugly---the top tube looks to be bent and broken.
I couldn't disagree more. It makes the others look ugly. But everyone has their own opinion and taste. 👍
Ukraine paint style💙💛
Please give us a sub 3000 euro light weight bike
Pesenti from the early 90's
Ah, the always overpriced for what you get Italian nonsense that comes with lousy quality control
The
A few of these aren’t Italian any more
Too many aren't Made-in-Italy anymore, no matter what it says on the decals :-(
I'm on team bianchi but that bike just isn't it. My 21 aria is beautiful that thing is not
You guys are fucking up not including battaglin smh
Meh.
overrated
