Brilliant, thank you. I only opened you to read because, after removing the initial 4 bolts, I was stumped. The 2 screws clinched it. Very poor manufacturer’s instructions! Again, brilliant thanks.
Yes, thank you for this. Got my kit yesterday and only took me an hour and a half to install with you instructions. One thing I was able to do was reverse the #6 support plate, put them on the outside (like I think you said you did 1st) and was able to bolt right on a SW motech sport rack. Perfect fit!
Great video. Do you know if the original parts Kawasaki mounting plate will work with this frame kit. I have the Kawasaki side panniers on my 1000sx, and would like run their top box, but you cannot do both unfortunately. This would be a great option, assuming this kit will work with my Moto dynamic tail tidy. Thanks in advance for any response.
I also use the Kawasaki side panniers, including running the top box at the same time. I know if you use Kawasaki parts for the top box, the side panniers wont fit. I am pretty sure the Kawasaki top box is just a rebadged GIVI.
Thanks for watching. Yes with this Givi Kit I can still attach my genuine Kawasaki paniers , all at the same time, and I have done long distance journeys with this setup.
Hi. Thanks for this video. I'm installing the same kit in a few weeks so this will be really useful. Please could I ask a quick question: You identified that there were 2 hidden screws that had to be removed before the first plate was fitted. Did these screws have to be screwed back in before you screwed in the 4 new bolts?
I screwed them back in, but when I then needed to take it apart for the light kit I didn't put them back in. Been riding alot since the install and no issue with them not being there.
Hi, I'll be getting my bike shortly and need to put a top box on, have you got the part numbers for the frame please. And is everything from givi including the box itself. Thanks.
All part numbers within the video. Yes it included everything you needed within the kits. 4130FZ is the Frame Kit (Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX 2020 onwards) I used the M7 Mounting plate but there are other options depending on your needs.
Thanks, I was shown the video just after you had already shown us the parts, my fault, sorry. It was only after watching again I got the parts and numbers, should have done that first lol. Excellent video mate.
@@bikesandbits1000 I think it's a brilliant idea, having been rear ended while stationary, I had a bmw1200rt at the time with panniers on as well, putting lights in the top box might give drivers a clue I'm there.
i tried to install today but unfortunately i have na tail tidy. And I tossed away the stock fender. Won't fit the bracket. I end up returning all the product to cycle gear. :(
Thank you for this video! Those 2 hidden screws gave me a headache for a while. Instructions still don't mention them.
Very useful video!
Glad it could help. Thanks for watching

Extremely clear and concise; thanks!

Glad to hear my video helped you out and good to see it all fitted well.
This was extreemly helpful, would never had managed with standard instructions
Glad it helped. Yes the GIVI instructions aren't very good.
Many thanks for sharing this, you made my Life sooooo much easier this morning 😊 ✌️
Glad it could help.

Hello
With this givi kit, is it possible to keep the original Kawasaki side bags?
Thanks also for the great video.

I have the same bike but in 2020 version, can you provide the part numbers of the kit you used?
Frame Kit is the GIVI 4130FZ and I used the M8 plate, however you can use other plates (M5,M8, M9 etc)

@@deanjewiss1396 No worries at all, glad you liked the video. Check out the 2nd video where I install the brake light kit as well in the Top Box.

Will this fit with a R&G tail tidy ?
Not sure on the R & G. Someone previously commented the tail tidy they had wouldn't fit but not sure on which brand it was.

You might be able to get a stock fender from a motorcycle wrecker.
Ever find one that fits with a tail tidy?
Is this same for 2024 N1Ksx?
I dont think it is changed since 2021, but you would need to double check.
Ma il kit andrebbe bene per il modello 2017.
You would need to check into that as they are different models.
