These videos are extremely interesting. The more things change **the more they stay the same.** criminals were idiots then and criminals are idiots now.
My theory as to why this is the case (besides the obvious answer of drugs) is that usually the smarter ones are smart enough to not resort to crime in the first place

I find it very ironic that these are titled as a spinoff of World’s Wildest Police Videos, yet these specials are actually what led to WWPV becoming a series in the first place….

I’ll never forget seeing this episode as a kid, in particular the last chase where the truck head ons the pick up. It’s always stuck in my memory how violent a crash it was and how running from the police and driving recklessly were never a good idea. I still feel the same 25 years later. I let loose in video games not on city streets.

I feel bad for the innocent person just sitting at that redlight in the red car who witnessed that semi demolish that truck & watching 2 kids be killed. And i feel even worse for the driver of the semi who was just ddiving.down the road and killed 2 ppl bc of their own stupid choices. This was back in '97 but i hope those ppl have found some peace all these years.

Can we get unedited and unexaggerated clips please I came from watching legit police chases all in all unedited to this and this is so clipped up and edited and exaggerated it ruins the whole thing and the narrator talking like this us some kind of wild life documentary lol for me its more cringe then not I want to see the legit action of what goes down

some of the clips have to be cut or edited like the Georgia cop who ends up in the middle of nowhere on that back road i've been down roads like that before and honestly i hope it ended well for that officer but i know it likely didnt thing is down south on roads like that there's typically nothing but pine trees and forest excellent cover and concealment for maneuvering into flanking positions back up is likely to have problem's finding this place back in these days. to sum it up he's getting into a gun fight while alone with at least one probably two armed combatants and this is the south where shooting random shit with your firearm is a preferred past time and this was on the TV at a time where they didnt want the audience complaining that their 15 year old child saw or heard a person die

I always hated how they added narration in and tried to pretend it was the helicopter...even though it's the same exact voice.
Also the crash sound effects that are way too loud and clear to have been picked up by these cameras. There's spectacle enough, don't need to dress it up.
