- Welcome to another battle report by the Ministry of Miniatures where we see the winter German army take on the battered 101st US airborne in Bastogne, Ardennes.
At 1200 points per side, who will win?
All figures are Warlord Games, with a combination of both plastic and metal figures in 28mm.

👍🏻😂
Cool looking armies and battle
Thanks, I think it’s probably time to do another winter battle, always looks atmospheric and cold 🥶👍🏻
What a great game. Fantatic board, nice models and good banter, what is not to like.
Just found your bolt action bat reps... love the layout :)
Couple of things I spotted. When deploying you can place units like snipers in your half of the board - outside the 12". this means they avoid being targeted by a prep bomb, especially useful if you have to deploy half your army this way. Small teams are very vulnerable - roll a 6 and it's an auto hit, 2 pins, and anything but a 1 to wound means the 50% morale check. And a permanent -1 to hit if they stick around.
The other was when the half track fired at the m/c combo, roll to hit, roll to damage needing a 6, and then roll on the damage chart. Soft skinned vehicles aren't auto destroyed like they were in V1.
Thanks for the comments, we play quite sporadically, and trying to video at the same time means we miss some rules and get others wrong… we do check most rules we are unsure of between shots, or I edit them out… but yes, you are correct, the MC and side car might not have been destroyed…. But it was still a fun and themed game.
As long as you enjoyed it, we did and hopefully with regular games we can get up to speed with the rules!
Thanks again 👍🏻
This is what my twin bazooka armored jeep was made for. I just love how it stops opponents from rolling up a Tiger or Panther in the middle of the board thinking they'll dominate it. As having 2 shape charge attacks puts their tanks at a good chance of having something happen to them. Then on the next turn if anything tries to target the Jeep you can just recce out of the way.
Yes, surprising how my flamethrowers and bazookas can do that to an opponent!
Great stuff!
Cheers! The game lends itself to having great tables... we are working on building our town houses and desert scenery.
So keep an eye out for future battles.
@@theministryofminiatures Looking forward to it!
Great report, great minis and battlefield layout. Keep up the good work :)
Thanks, I am hoping to get some regular games in, as well as army showcases etc.
Huge thanks for the support.
Very impressive ...well set up! You both have PUT IN characters into your units ..NOT easy to do in some scales !! TERRAIN is mega and aside from the blocks on roads etc, you have left good manoeuvring room for AFVS ! and generous open areas. In looking at many wargames sites/blogs etc I've not seen too many winterised M3 1/2 TRKS . MY BOLT ACTION 1/2 TRKS did not angle fit well for the main cab area ?! but paint up well enough.... I'll be going down the ARMORED INFANTRY historical route ...I.E. will be adding rear eqpt racks ;bedrolls ammo crates etc LASTLY your playing style and NOT getting overly excited during the turns is a credit THANKS LADS ! AND I'm just about to start some evening modelling too !
Huge thanks, we are a new channel, but have a few players, and between us we can field most armies and in most theatres, love the game... glad you enjoyed it, and here’s to many more!
Enjoy your evening of modelling.
