Definitely prefer the Chuck 70s over the regular version. Eight days of vacation in San Francisco, out and about morning til night in my Chuck 70s, climbing those infamous hills, pounding the pavement each and no aching feet or muscle fatigue in my legs. I’m sold!
I just got my pair of 70's. I'm a 12 in Converse and size 13 everything else. I had a pair of the original in cream and the Chuck II which runs super tight so I bought these instead. I love everything about the vintage style of the 70's with the premium canvas, the thicker outsole and the overall aesthetic with the extra stitching by the toe cap. Definitely stands out more than the regular cheap Chuck's everyone else has.
Xlr8rify very true. Usually when brands do premium versions it’s not noticeable enough to warrant paying more but these seem to have a huge difference! Thanks for letting me know:)
Xlr8rify the Chuck II’s are probably tight cause they changed the sizing to that of a normal shoe instead of keeping the OG Chuck sizing which runs 1/2-1 size big.
Nice vid and I agree because when I got cdg converse and they are 70s I was like damn because the quality is just so much better but anyway good vid keep grinding
Jeremy James Gigante The colored pair does not have the Poron footbed (which gives it additional shock absorption along with the improved insole) found underneath the insole and the insole is glued in instead
i also have the CT 70s blk, yes, this is more comfortable than the vintage CT, im also planning to buy the white color. definitely Converse is now my favorite in my collection.
So this design came out in 70s. I wonder when the design was replaced. Did this design last until the 80s? I remember sometime in the 80s Chuck Taylors quality dropped. They became cheaper and less robust. These Chuck Taylor 70 are definitely the best currently available.
Good review. Looks like we size up the same. My brannock size is 10.5 wide. I wear adidas in 11, vans in 11, nike in 11.5 but get my converse in 10. The 70’s are definitely way better than the regular CTAS. Better build quality and material.
Hi. I am size 6 in classic and I got a size 6 in the 70s but it feels narrow on the wide part of my foot. Should I have gotten a 6.5 if it is in the 70s?
I have tried both normal and 70 chucks and i realized that the tongue on chuck 70 is much floppy than the classic chuck (that is more rigid). Strange, because the rest of the body shoes has a much ticker canvas on chuck 70 than classic chuck.
Agreed man, can't go back to OGs after chuck 2's. They don't have that lunarlon insole, but they do have a removable insole that is quite nice. Definitely passed my approval test having the same concerns as you.
The colored pair does not have the Poron footbed (which gives it additional shock absorption along with the improved insole) found underneath the insole and the insole is glued in instead
Just one thing I'd like to add...the soles are different if you look at them next to a normal pair. The diagonal lines that run on the margins and on the arch are thinner with the 70s, and the "Xes" between the diamonds are thicker and the three longitudinal "gussets" between the diamonds are a little different. Plus the bars across the heal pad are different...they're closer together and there is one additional bar on the 70s. And they brought back putting the size of the shoe where the "Converse All Star" is located. Cool review though!
New versions of these came out with a crap ton more color ways, the new one has the old legit converse 1971-79 logo inside of the shoe, and now I read of a painted on logo on the side of the Chuck Taylors it's now a sowed on logo, that's the differences and I honestly like it, it's like an exact replica, look at the new version of the shoes at store.nike.com/us/en_us/pd/converse-chuck-70-high-top-unisex-shoe/pid-12433922/pgid-12507215 Plus a new court heritage version came out store.nike.com/us/en_us/pd/converse-chuck-70-heritage-court-high-top-unisex-shoe/pid-12433685/pgid-12507239?k_clickid=a27f8846-d3dc-43ff-8ae9-d267912c310f&cp=usns_kw_converse_store.nike.com/_pla!g!t!br&k_clickid=a27f8846-d3dc-43ff-8ae9-d267912c310f
Does your chuck comes with shorter lace than the regular all star, cuz i also a bought it and when i tried to tie around the back style, it left me with short lace than the regular all star?
They came out in the 20’s but they were originally like a brownish color. The 70’s version is where that classic Chuck Taylor shoe was released. They ended up changing it again in the 80’s to be more of a lifestyle shoe, since people weren’t really wearing them for athletics anymore. The Chuck 70’s are just a throwback to the last version that was around for actual basketball.
SHUTTLE BOY Thanks for responding so quickly! It's cause I've been seeing around in the reviews in Nike.com and people are saying that they are not holding up as well as expected and I'm planning on buying these, anyways thanks again for responding so quickly!
Do you have a wide feet? Planning to buy the cdg one and anxious about the size. I have a wide feet and i wear size 10 in nike, should i go down to 9.5 then?
Size question, I wear 13 in most shoes and in chucks as 12. How about the chucks 70's? Get a 12 OR 13? (no half sizes). Also logo patch is wihite with black star and writing online. I prefer the white ankle logo patch with the blue star with red and white writing. The 70s in white and black don't have the red/bkue writing in the ankle patch, Also I like to Chucks II (2) a whole lot but rather have had the orginal white colorway hi with the red and blue racing stripes and the raised pronounced ankle star logo patch. Anyone know?
The red/white logo pair does not have the Poron footbed (which gives it additional shock absorption along with the improved insole) found underneath the insole and the insole is glued in instead
Fam, Like the previous comment , go directly to the website, select the pair, or pairs you dig and buy them straight from the website, get them delivered to you UPS style. Just make sure you know and supply your correct size so you get the right size. If you do have to hit customer service if something goes wrong they're pretty good bout helping correct the situation so that they get it right, I've experienced that before, They were more than helpful on the phone solving the problem.
So they basically made a uncomfortable pair with less quality materials than the Chuck II's and ask the same price for it... Please bring back the modern Chuck II's!! :(

Do you know if the sole separates on the 70's?
Xlr8rify the Chuck II’s are probably tight cause they changed the sizing to that of a normal shoe instead of keeping the OG Chuck sizing which runs 1/2-1 size big.
I like my ct70 too..the insole cushion is so comfy..and top notch material
Nice vid and I agree because when I got cdg converse and they are 70s I was like damn because the quality is just so much better but anyway good vid keep grinding
Rubber dubs thanks man! & definitely. The quality completely changes my opinion on the shoe. The non 70s look so ugly to me lol
Yours has a colored logo, I see some black and white logo. Are there differences, aside from the logo color?
Jeremy James Gigante The colored pair does not have the Poron footbed (which gives it additional shock absorption along with the improved insole) found underneath the insole and the insole is glued in instead
@@SHUTTLEBOY Are these suede? If they are canvas then do they fade like the chuck 1s?
the hating the regular pair thing i completely agree with lol, black 70s are the best but coloured regulars are rlly nice too
i also have the CT 70s blk, yes, this is more comfortable than the vintage CT, im also planning to buy the white color. definitely Converse is now my favorite in my collection.

This design is actually the 1970 pf flyer design.
Love Your Video! The Hat, Shirt and the Chuck 70's. AWESOME!

I don’t get why your side patch is a red and blue but every single pair I find has the black and white circular Chuck Taylor patch on the inside
The off-white gets more pronounced as the sun is hitting it. Initially i wasn't happy (i wanted them off-white) but after a few days....excellent.
Hi. I am size 6 in classic and I got a size 6 in the 70s but it feels narrow on the wide part of my foot. Should I have gotten a 6.5 if it is in the 70s?
Please do on body's when doing reviews
Scummy Prick 👍
How they FEEL is what matters. Did you try them on?
Amber H Ugh I was waiting for that for the whole video too
I have tried both normal and 70 chucks and i realized that the tongue on chuck 70 is much floppy than the classic chuck (that is more rigid).
Strange, because the rest of the body shoes has a much ticker canvas on chuck 70 than classic chuck.
I like that more worn down look. Should i stick to the regular ones?
CAN'T UNSEE, CAN'T GO BACK
how do these compare in size with the golf le fleurs one stars
The ensole is better in the 70’s chuck also.
Great detailed review man!
dru812002 thank you so much!!🧡🚀
I actually liked the chuck Taylor 2’s if u had em are these 70’s just as comfortable as those? Cause I can’t go back to the OG chucks
Agreed man, can't go back to OGs after chuck 2's. They don't have that lunarlon insole, but they do have a removable insole that is quite nice. Definitely passed my approval test having the same concerns as you.
You forgot to mention about the insole that much more comfortable than the regular one. Nice video, anyway.
Yours has a colored logo, I see some black and white logo. Are there differences, aside from the logo color?
This is also my concern I want the red logo but all I see is the black logo here in our converse stores
Renzo Reyes haha same . Where can I find them
The colored pair does not have the Poron footbed (which gives it additional shock absorption along with the improved insole) found underneath the insole and the insole is glued in instead
Does chuck 70 has shorter lace than regular all star, cuz i tried to tie the around the back style with my 70s and it got little leftover lace?
What’s the height of them???

SHUTTLE BOY thanks im gonna buy it for my brother :)
Laura Jong de sweet!:)
Yeah, I didn't find any difference between Conva and Timba when it comes to size.
For others I have to go for .5 higher.
Can i ask ya'll? How to spot fake on converse 70s?

Does your chuck comes with shorter lace than the regular all star, cuz i also a bought it and when i tried to tie around the back style, it left me with short lace than the regular all star?
Hows the sizing?
Do you have an issue with the tounge sliding to the side?
Damn man.. your worried about that? You focus on the most unimportant things in life. I can tell your not going to get very far.
MOUNTAIN CLIMBER You obviously weren't too focused on school then.
You look like andy samberg
Omg this triggers me, the original did not come out in the 70’s they came out in like the 20’s
Ben Karslake shut up

Erik Oegema the Chuck 2s were the best
These are high quality materials?? Go into any converse that has 70s instock and compared to any other All Star Chuck they come out on top
I dont really like the extra stitches on the side. It just doesnt look right to me
MACIE JAY!

Please be my sugar daddy. I don’t even know if a male can have a male sugar daddy and shit
