Durring big storms around WNY, its impossible to plow all the rds and keep up with the snow, so usually like in Buffalo, only the main rds can be kept open, residents shovel, plow, blow there streets to get to a main intersection, your side street may take 3-4 days to be cleared, ( usually by big loaders and dump trucks and a fleet of tow trucks) , ambulances have sleds and the FD drags hose down the streets, biggers fires will get there own city plow to go ahead of them)
Except that the lake temperature is 6 - 8 degrees above normal for this time of year , which is why this event is so bad That wasnt happening in the 70s

@@troyzieman7177 a warmer lake evaporates more moisture, so yes, that will enhance the lake effect. I've lived overlooking a lake since the 1960s and we have always had pretty heavy snow up here on the mountain, until about 1980. That's when I noticed winters started to get milder.
Question. How come no one has chains on their vehicles or studded tires? I had them for yrs but only in the months like this first snow storms. Once weather got better, I switched out the studded to regular snow tires. Chains on car too

These poor people shoveling their driveways, sidewalks and now the streets. With the thousands they pay in town, county taxes the streets shoukd be completely cleared. The mayor, clerks are all home getting paid they do not care about these people and really don’t care about the rank and file of their own employees.
Why did America steal town names from other countries as Dunkirk is a French 🇫🇷 town not American, couldn’t America think of its own names for towns and cities as you have also taken a lot of names from the UK just asking out of curiosity
