Thank you for posting your video of your White Pass trip, I think that it is nice that they gave you a map. Unfortunately a number of cruisers were disappointed because they were not able to take this train trip that they wanted to take this cruise season because of the rock slide issue with the dock. Therefore it is nice that you posted this neat video of the White Pass train trip because people can at least be able to experience and enjoy the White Pass train ride experience virtually. Thank you
You're very welcome! This is the main reason I posted this video -- to have others feel like they are on the train :) I love sharing experiences more than anything on RUclips as that is really my main focus. I'm sorry to hear about the cruisers who were impacted due to the rockslide that happened recently but hopefully this helps them enjoy what it was like, and I know they will be looking forward to going back in the future to experience this in person :) Thanks for watching and for your support!

@@CruisingWithJT I'm two for two! My August train trip has already been cancelled by RC. Gives me another reason to cruise to Alaska again! Honestly, you had such spectacular weather that your trip will be difficult to match. =)
@@monstrok Sorry to hear about August train trip being cancelled too, I assume you are on Quantum of the Seas? I know many people were impacted due to the engine issues and another rock slide that happened today in Skagway...very sad to see. From what I heard, no more cruises on Quantum are going to Endicott Arm/Dawes Glacier rest of the summer and in September none of them are going to Skagway!

Hi JT,
Well our trip is coming up in October 16 however The NCL Encore will no longer be visiting Skagway, instead we will be going to Icy Straits Point…Huge disappointment because we had our helicopter glacier excursion booked as well as the white pass train both of those have been cancel… But thanks to White Pass we realize what was going on because they credited the excursion back to our credit card and when we call them we found out what was going on… Very disappointed on how NCL is handling all of this, because they still show on their website that they will be going to Skagway. No emails to their guests notifying them of the changes in the itinerary and when I called the excursion agents they didn’t know anything of what was going on….. So now we will be going to Alaska but will no longer be doing a helicopter glacier tour nor the amazing White Pass tour 😞😔😢

Thanks for watching, TB! Views were literally breathtaking 😄 and the weather was wonderful. It was cold when we got to the highest elevation but other that it wasn’t too bad. I had my jacket off most of the time 😊 Truly an epic experience and one that I believe everyone should do! Happy to have Bharti be in the video for a little bit 😃
Thanks for sharing! I'm finally editing my video from my 2021 trip, where we only got as far as Glacier siding (milepost 14) due to bridge work. I think the work was where all the red girders were piled up in your video. Someday I will go back and ride the entire route to Carcross.
Incidentally, that trip I took in 2021, you were on that cruise as well - my wife and I were on Ovation 8/13/21, and we saw you in the Windjammer.

The cemetery is a nice visit and there is a nice waterfall there. I highly suggest a visit.

JT, have you ever driven up the Klondike Hoghway instead of taking the train? If not, I HIGHLY suggest it. Beautiful views and you can stop for pics and video.

Woohoo! Here’s to great weather for you as well, Sue! Enjoy the experience! It only got cold up near the top for us but if you plan on hanging out outside I would recommend a jacket, it’s a cool experience, literally 😄
Should I bring my camera to take some pictures? Wonder if the windows would make the images look weird
Hey Joe, you should definitely bring your camera to take pictures. I took pics and while there is some reflection when you're inside, you can easily step outside on the platform between the train cars and take amazing shots. Have fun!
