Yurio was honestly the only character I really cared about. He was so determined and went through a lot of character development and I think that's what makes him a very strong character
Even tho he's not the main charecter, in the end he's the winner. He's a hero in his own story
Despite him being a moody teenager, you got to admire his determination throughout the show. He always worked so hard and it payed off. Honestly love him ❤️❤️

If I had like half of his passion and determination I could have gotten something out of my life
Yuri Plisetsky in my opinion is the most determined skater in this anime. I don't think people give him enough credit for his achievements because he's "nAtuRaLly GoOd or GifTeD." Nobody is born with such stamina or potential. He is very critical, ambitious, and will do anything in his power to attain the gold medal (Also let's not forget he's 15, competing with skaters that are 18+). Although he's not the nicest or approachable individual, I believe apart from his extraordinary figure skating skills, he has a good heart. Yuri really did deserve to win at The Grand Pix Final.

He supports his family, is an international ice skating champion and won the gold on his senior debut and was only allowed to use quads that year. We saw him fail a jump once.
I love how he was by far the youngest competitor but he still won the Grand Prix and broke Victor’s record

Honestly, credits to him for being so passionate. Figure skating is a terribly difficult sport, pretty much one in a million have the talent, technique, and grace to constantly win. (The only figure skater active now that I can think of now who fits the criteria is Yuzuru Hanyu.) There’s constantly new faces, new techniques to learn, the need to become better, and purely how overwhelming the pressure can be. And the Russian national team is notorious for being especially harsh, which is one thing I wish could have been highlighted in the anime. Somehow, Yuri remained steadfast and confident in his abilities, and I have so much respect for that. I have so much more to say as a fan of figure skating, but one thing is for sure.

Yuri is the greatest!!!!! Also, how unfair was it that Viktor didn't even spare a thought to his promise to Yuri, just so he could coach another guy!
