T34 transmissions were world renowned as garbage.

The turret of the panzer iv h and g looks more stylish than the tiger, the bottom corners are angled slightly, it looks cleaner, it wasn't taller than the sherman, the side skirts added more to the design, heck the panther Ausf g looks cleaner.
