The train runs from Gorakhpur as 12595 via mainline (via Basti) on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, while it runs as 12571 via Loop line (via Barhni) on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Gorakhpur to Gonda loop line via Barhni is completely unelectrified, so 12571 runs with diesel links of Gonda shed upto Gonda Jn., where electric engine takes charge further.
