He gets a little obnoxious because of his ego and gets emotional. 100x Better than say a Tony G who will act the same way, only after he beats you, not after he loses. Phil is regarded by the poker community as a really nice guy. I don't see how anyone couldn't like the dude
no matter how much people put him down nowadays just one look at all of his achievements and finishes and you realize wow hes still one of the best...and he has a lot of more years in front of him God knows how much more hes gonna do, good job Phil!!
Despite his poker persona, Phil seems like one of the nicest guys who has really found a balance between poker and a good life. It's nice to see a poker player have a normal home life with balance.
+TissDiss Lots of players said that Phil is extremely nice not playing. Also, I would argue that 95% of his outbursts are all for TV time and ratings. He has gone overboard though legitimately (Dragomir) but all in all, not a bad guy.
Can't reply to pre-Google+ comments, but in reply to those who think this place is dumpy: Unlike most poker pros, Phil doesn't live in Las Vegas. He's in Palo Alto, California, a city which is upscale even for Silicon Valley, which in general has the highest property values in the country. This house is worth AT LEAST as much as the McMansions you see the Vegas crowd living in, and very probably more. He also has kids. The place is not gonna be tidy. That Phil didn't tear this house down and build a huge monstrosity that takes up his entire lot shows he actually has considerable taste.
Hard to imagine growing up with Phil for your dad. You know, with him constantly hollering into the distance ever time you screw up, "Hey honey, guess what this idiot did. Kid can't even spell poker." XD
I think on of my favorite things he's ever "yelled" is..."honey, 🍯 I was supposed to go broke on that ✋ hand, but they forget one thing...I can Dodge bullets baby, I was hoping I wouldn't have to make that lay down, at the world series of poker..on the first day..ya know what I mean"....I die every time I hear that clip
just like i imagined, lot's of things he's proud of because they were given to him by someone special and a atleast 5 pictures of himself in every room xD
I agree... I can understand people being annoyed by him but I think he is fucking great.... What other team/player do you enjoy when they win and lose?
I like the video because it shows that for phil, it's not about having the largest or best house. There are other non-material things that are more important to him, for example remembering the good old times
Thats prolly a $5+ million house in palo alto/silicon valley .. median home price in palo alto is $1.77 mil, crescent valley nearby median home price is like $3.5 mil
I don't think they are, I'm a pretty laid back person but some reason why I play poker I take it so serious and personally that I've been in his place and know exactly how he feels and have personally had some of those rants
Should of used your brothers house in Eden Prairie, thats where you forgot your favorite jacket before the gala. I know I had to go get it. Great luck at the 2015 WSOP.
7:17 yea im lookin at that list and wondering how you won it as well phil.Lol but i have to say he is pretty modest for being the all time brac.winner.
"I have to have quality clothing." Then he states "IMy picture is going to be on the cover of 12 million beer cans." "Which beer?" "Milwaukee's Best!" I guess Phil cares about the quality of clothing, but couldn't care less about the quality of his beer! lol
Phil is actually a cool and normal guy, maybe a little arrogant sometimes but hell, he's got 11 bracelets afterall and also a good poker player. People see on youtube only videos of him freaking out so of course most get the thinking that's he sucks. You should watch some full episodes of him playing.
that is the first time Ive ever seen a person show every one of their pictures and show all of his trophies that he's won while he's showing his house lol. I personally know people making way less than you and have a bigger house. You blow millions on cash games, I was just expecting a bigger house
Don't get me wrong, his place is nice, but I would have thought his place would be A BIT bigger/more extravagent....I guess he's a bit more mature and better with money than I would be :)
No you need to actually listen to his ramblings. He says that 3 years ago they've been there for 8 years. That equals 11 years. Pretty close to how long he's actually lived there.
TO be honest I am surprised at the modest house that Phil Hellmuth has to be honest. No flash to speak of compared to other players homes we see. Or big pools etc.
02:01 "What is this thing?" lol it's your house! haha. fuckin' phil dude gets a little overboard with shitty comments after losing but man, he makes me laugh.
Wow...First poker player i see who is surrounded by books... And they dont seem to be standing in strict order for beauty... It looks like Phil reads them quite often.
this is not high stake living...but if it is, then I guess phil didn't change his lifestyle from his earlier life. It isn't a bad thing but for me...I gotta upgrade the size of this house that would be a no brainer.
8:36 Theres a picture where im pointing at my hat, theres a picture of me pointing at the bracelet, so theres 3 pictures...... Really Phil I expected better math from the best hold em player in the world!
Say what you want, but this man is a legend no matter how obnoxious he can get.
He gets a little obnoxious because of his ego and gets emotional. 100x Better than say a Tony G who will act the same way, only after he beats you, not after he loses. Phil is regarded by the poker community as a really nice guy. I don't see how anyone couldn't like the dude

+TissDiss his blowups are mostly an act. its for entertainment.
He was so freakin right, naming Dragmir the worst player in history and so on!
10,4...excuse me...
Phil is absolutely hilarious, he's like a caricature of himself, I'm sure he's a method actor. Comedy gold with this one
You nailed it spot on. It's like he's parodying himself without even realizing it.
That’s just the way he is but because he is super successful it gives him the confidence to not care at all what people think
This guy is the perfect example of harsh outside and soft hearted ^_^
I respect this guy so much..
Phil seems like a decent fellow. A family man with a great career.
I think it's awesome how down-to-earth Phil is, despite his ego. Good family life, he definitely keeps it real
Can't reply to pre-Google+ comments, but in reply to those who think this place is dumpy: Unlike most poker pros, Phil doesn't live in Las Vegas. Its kind of nice that his home is a little messy, and not so extravagant. He seems like a very honest person, who doesnt mind looking bad at all.
Hard to imagine growing up with Phil for your dad. You know, with him constantly hollering into the distance ever time you screw up, "Hey honey, guess what this idiot did. Kid can't even spell poker." XD
"Idiot from northern Europe"
I think on of my favorite things he's ever "yelled" is..."honey, 🍯 I was supposed to go broke on that ✋ hand, but they forget one thing...I can Dodge bullets baby, I was hoping I wouldn't have to make that lay down, at the world series of poker..on the first day..ya know what I mean"....I die every time I hear that clip
Such a different side to him, seems like a really nice guy. Love the house too, it is a home.
just like i imagined, lot's of things he's proud of because they were given to him by someone special and a atleast 5 pictures of himself in every room xD
When it comes to the poker brat ya either absolutely love Phil, or you hate his guts....
Personally I fkn love the guy....
I agree... I can understand people being annoyed by him but I think he is fucking great.... What other team/player do you enjoy when they win and lose?
I like the video because it shows that for phil, it's not about having the largest or best house. There are other non-material things that are more important to him, for example remembering the good old times
i've always liked phil. seems like a pretty good guy when he is not coming unglued after a losing hand. nice to see a family man do well in poker.
The Genius & His Remote = Priceless!
Saving that money.
Thats prolly a $5+ million house in palo alto/silicon valley .. median home price in palo alto is $1.77 mil, crescent valley nearby median home price is like $3.5 mil
I love Phil Hellmuth :)
"Maybe we should have a glass later" hahah
HAHAHAHA
phil tryna sneak one in i see you phil
I want to see Guy Laliberte's house, a true definition of ballin'
At least the thieves now know to steal his $40,000 rug, thanks for sharing.
Glad to see in real life he's actually pretty laid-back and calmer! I'm thinking those poker rants are just an act for some publicity!
I don't think they are, I'm a pretty laid back person but some reason why I play poker I take it so serious and personally that I've been in his place and know exactly how he feels and have personally had some of those rants
i enjoyed the demo of setting the hot tun temp. also, i doubt anyone knows Phil as the tech guy
i don't like him but i like the way he treats willow!!! :) i like people who love animals as i do (Y)
Should of used your brothers house in Eden Prairie, thats where you forgot your favorite jacket before the gala. I know I had to go get it. Great luck at the 2015 WSOP.
Rip willow
If I had that many awards and trophies, they wouldn't be sitting on a shelf. They would be in glass cases in a trophy room! ahaha
I love Phil Hellmuth!
He is a great guy 95% of the time
phil such a great guy when he's not tilting
good to see another side og hellmuth in youtube
@ninefivesuited that's because Q10o>AK doesn't happen during house tours
Real estate in Palo Alto where Hellmuth lives cost way more than Vegas
this guy is awesome, and he's from my hometown
man who sold the world in the background was perfect
Phil you advertised for Full Tilt > what do you think about what happened.
People coming over to profile the inside of your home call me crazy but maybe making the bed before they do so would be a priority??
Now if you think about if after mentioning all those names in the book winning the 1989 world series is really a big achievment
7:17 yea im lookin at that list and wondering how you won it as well phil.Lol but i have to say he is pretty modest for being the all time brac.winner.
"i've just won so many tournaments, ya know, sometimes the trophies don't even make it out in the light..."
LOL.
Damn I've passed his house so many times without realizing it...
6 sunlights in 1 room, damn, the rest of the rooms are kind of dark in comparison. This kind of does put Phil in a positive light though.
Nice bar, Phil!
around 5:00 phil suggests they should have a glass of wine and shes basically like nahh lol
omfg
his house is a refurbished garage , and he has 13 bracelets in WSOP
1) This was 4 years ago.
2) If you payed attention, you'd have heard that he has another home in Wisconsin.
Karnage2015 I live 9n wisconsin
9:46 "I love lamp"
Phil is really an odd guy. But he seems genuinely nice
"I have to have quality clothing." Then he states "IMy picture is going to be on the cover of 12 million beer cans."
"Which beer?"
"Milwaukee's Best!"
I guess Phil cares about the quality of clothing, but couldn't care less about the quality of his beer! lol

been here for 12 years, What is this thing?
Man I hope wireless tech has improved over the last three years.
I want to know more about this "consultant" called Heidi
Axe murderer comes to mind... Even Mr brighside couldn't change that image
Mean Joe Green 's ad was for coke not Pepsi.
I'd take Negreanu's Apartment over Hellmuth's place anytime...
Northern California is why so expensive
that is the first time Ive ever seen a person show every one of their pictures and show all of his trophies that he's won while he's showing his house lol. I personally know people making way less than you and have a bigger house. You blow millions on cash games, I was just expecting a bigger house

his house would be twice as big if he never met Tony G
wow i really like phil, he is a humble and a nice guy:/
man Phill Hellmuth is cool. I like him now.
did he just compare him being on a milwalkees ice can to the mean joe green commercial?
"i mean I've just won so many tournaments..."
Am I the only one who thinks Phil Hellmuth reminds them of Spenny from Kenny vs Spenny???

"His house makes me sick. It's fuckin unreal. So sick. Unfukin believable. Nice doggy though buddy"
love to see that sarcasm has made it to the top comment.
Is this High Stakes Bragging?
Did you see next to the cardboard poster of himself, there was a roll of toilet paper and hand cream?
He seems like a nice guy :)
Don't get me wrong, his place is nice, but I would have thought his place would be A BIT bigger/more extravagent....I guess he's a bit more mature and better with money than I would be :)
Lol hes really such a nice guy, hard to believe this is the same guy who rants at poker table.
phil should look up the game "thwart poker" if he wants a poker game that supposedly is all skill. i played it about 7 years ago.
No you need to actually listen to his ramblings. He says that 3 years ago they've been there for 8 years. That equals 11 years. Pretty close to how long he's actually lived there.
He said "three years ago we had been here for 8 years"
He has a house in the suburbs...?
i cant believe he stills wears that black jacket at home lol
8:58 They have 30 packs?
his whole family is from wisconsin. even i know he spends a lot of time there

"Maybe We Should Have a Glass Later"
Next thing you know...people are going to break in and steal his 20.....30......40G carpet..lol
5:25 its kind of fun to watch uh uh stuff together' lol
he actually lives pretty modestly, his house at least resembles a home not a hotel suite
this is not high stake living...but if it is, then I guess phil didn't change his lifestyle from his earlier life. It isn't a bad thing but for me...I gotta upgrade the size of this house that would be a no brainer.
0:20 is it me or the drawing behing is a little weird? Some part of it looks like you know what...
The man has eyes?
8:36 Theres a picture where im pointing at my hat, theres a picture of me pointing at the bracelet, so theres 3 pictures...... Really Phil I expected better math from the best hold em player in the world!
