You cant have Malo Gusto in defence if you're planning on playing Cucu in that inverted role. It would mean Gusto would become the right centreback in a back 3. Which would be a waste with how good Gusto is going forward! He is good defensively tho, so it could potentially work. But I wouldnt risk that with how important these last 2 games are.

My Issues with Poch: - The team always starting slow - Mudryk has not been coached properly - In game management has been poor as Poch simply refused to get involved during the game - Using players out of position early on in the season - I just thought the man didn't care about Chelsea. He has since improved in many of the above and deserves huge credit for his style of play as it creates goal scoring opportunities. Our strikers just didn't know how to score. Improving now. Poch should now try to fix the relationship between the players especially Madueke not passing to his competitions..
Marcin Bulka of Nice would be a good shout for a keeper signing, 24, great numbers for the season(some might have to do with his defensive line), 6’6” and valued at £16m
One of the reasons why I think Chelsea struggled against Nottingham Forest is that Cucurella’s inversion into midfield (in that game) was so predictable- immediately the game started you could see him in the midfield, I think De Zerbi is smart if the team does the same thing against Brighton that work with good wingers, you could see a situation where the space left by Cucurella is being exploited. Cucurella should invert when the opposition least expect (and more for counter pressing if we start with Gusto) Keep the shape of Gallagher playing next to Caicedo with 'occasional' runs forward and a less predictable Cucurella’s inversion- and we will be fine. Playing Reece James for half an hour isn’t proper
It's only logical that Poch gets a second year for 2 reasons: 1. The players are beginning to understand what it means to compete. 2. Changing managers now takes us a step backwards. Let's not think Poch has cracked it. Let's not think the players have become better all of a sudden. We definitely need a proper striker who can score goals. We need a grown-up experienced defender to replace Silva. Else, we will still start slow next season and maybe pickup at the end.

Idt this can be called a "bad" season. We won a grand total of 11 games last season and finished 12th, ending the season with two losses and a draw. THAT was a bad season. We have a shot at fifth place and European football next season, and we were in a cup final this season. While there is a lot to criticize and question about this campaign, I'm with George in looking ahead and being hopeful, because there's a lot on that side of the ledger too. You can hype the young talents coming and those that we have for next season as a better one. But you pundits you seem to forget that the worst medical department in football history is the one we have for the past two to three seasons at Chelsea. Cobham is now converted to players hospital, now making the football manager having very hard time of his coaching abilities and team selection. Those players will be camped in that Cobham hospital now and again throughout their career at Chelsea. Talk some sense to clearlake and Boehly to sort out this problem and bring in reputable medical team that can assist the club as was the case when Eva Carneiro was at Chelsea doing her noble work throughout her period of time spent at the club. If you keep taking about players only, the situation at Chelsea will never improve to the standard we all can cherish as was the case in the past, with less injuries, and also injuries that got cured completely, and not prone as is the case now. How many have been brought back to playing games while not fully fit from their injuries. Talk some sense to clearlake and Boehly to sort out this problem and bring in reputable medical team that can assist the club as was the case when Eva Carneiro was at Chelsea doing her noble work throughout her period of time spent at the club. If you keep taking about players only, the situation at Chelsea will never improve to the standard we all can cherish as was the case in the past, with less injuries, and also injuries that got cured completely, and not prone as is the case now. I feel Eva Carneiro if brought back can change the way this medical team is doing or performing now. Look at Enzo. Eight months playing under painkiller injections. How many have been brought back to playing games while not fully fit from their injuries. For just one example out of many, Ngolo Kante went through painkiller injections towards the end years of his stay at Chelsea, and was declared prone to injuries. This time he is in Saudi Arabia. Is he still prone to injuries? Not at all. What a terrible medical department we have at Chelsea. Talk some sense the Chelsea owners please before our medical department cut short the bright futures of our young and talented players we have and those coming as well.

@@akeemstewart8083 he’s one dimensional and he’s feet is not quick enough for what he be trying to do, you can not insist on doing your one trick every single time, if he can’t get his cut back off he’d lose the ball or find a backward pass, he gets it off sometimes but not with any type of consistency, it will work at a level but at the highest level which i think Chelsea is he shouldn’t get a spot on the first 11, Mudryk is not 1 dimensional he just doesn’t fit in with this team, he’s either running faster that the ball or his team mates or he’s totally out of position he just seems lost but I think if he can connect with the team he might still come good, I think I’ve seen all Noni is about although if he drops the ego and adapt his game he also might come good I just don’t see that, I see him like a sturridge, same ego but even less talent
