you can use your credit cards ma. basically once you go inside the resort you will not need much money because you pay for everything in the first place. so all you need to do is just convert inr to Maldivian rupees and keep with you, you can exchange currency in airports too

we booked from singapore through singapore travel agency. our package was 3lacs inr without flight tickets. for Maldives I would suggest always go through a travel agency. our resort "centara grand" was all inclusive resort so only flights we booked seperately
