Rafael has only been the GM here for a bit over 4 yrs and he's already been 300% better than Daryl Morey!! He's nailed pretty much every draft pick instead of Morey who traded em all away star chasing guys who didn't even work with Harden...except CP3.
It feels good to be a Houston sports fan now. 3 years ago, all we had was the 'Stros. I might be dreaming, but hopefully one year, all 3 would play for the chips. 'Stros, Rockets, and Texans.
I was thinking about the same thing! I feel the Rockets will be first to start winning a title or two. Maybe more! And if Crane would spend a little paper to fill in the gaps, then they will be a problem around the MLB! But Crane has gotten lucky when Pena replaced Correa! And I'm pissed that he traded away Tucker! And the McNairs are not good owners at all! They have their work cut out for them!
@@tommypellikan767 Absolutely not... Sengun shows up more than Amen.... Amen is very consistent in his role and is elite on defense, but he's still a role player on offense who is a beneficiary... He eats off the attention created by Sengun and Jalen.... He's not the primary or secondary focus of the defense every night... Many nights he's not even a tertiary focus.... That's what allows him to play to his strengths offensively. His impact offensively is as a transition driver/finisher and also as a cutter in the halfcourt where he gets fed easy lobs, dishes to the dunker spot, and 2nd chance pts off boards from the weak side. If Amen was in a primary role where he had to self create mainly, then his efficiency would suffer because he can't shoot outside the paint well and still lacks the handle to be consistently effective in the halfcourt.
@@Hieiman Nothing against Sengun, but you're wrong! Thompson WILL be the leader before too long! Just ask the coach Ime Udoka! He knows who's his beat players are! And it's Thompson!

amen plays that good because of alperen sengun. alpi vacuuming all the opponent players to himself so amen, brooks or jalen can find blank shoots. you r looking only statistics.
They all make life easier for each other. Just as alpi post/roll presence attracts double teams, amen off ball cutting and presence around the rim makes it harder for his defender to help off him
Completely disagreed. Al P is great & he is sucking up Ds in the paint, but Amen could play on ANY team in the NBA & he would glue the team together. He’s THAT guy.
I think he has the potential to blossom into the best player on the team if he learns how to shoot the ball. He reminds me of kawhi Leonard in his early spurs days but much more athletic. If the coaches help him develop they could very well have a home grown superstar in the next 2-3 seasons
For as much talk as there is about okc, i believe the Rockets have more players with all star potential. If you list the realistic ceiling for players on both teams, only Shai and Chet would be in the top five. I would even put Jabari above J Williams.
Prime Iguodala, prime Shawn Marion , prime Pippen as the ceiling . And I know his Amen’s biggest fans club probably think he’s like best player in the league or mvp ceiling but right now he’s too flawed offensively and it’s alot easier to look great on that end when you’re not the #1 guy defenses are game planning to stop . Saying his ceiling is a top 50 all time player second best on a dynasty is no insult.
Crazy thing is he came in as a PG. he alr does some play making but if he learns from Fred how to set up the offense in the half court and be consistent he gone be even more scary than he alr is
He’s earned a full time starting spot. But bringing Jabari Smith off the bench will decrease his market value. So the Rockets may be forced to consolidate sooner rather than later

He is only 21 years old, there are plenty of cases of players developing serviceable shooting in their careers. To state he will never be an all star, this early in his career, is just commenting in bad faith with an agenda.
He is arguably the best player on the team already and certainly the most consistent. He will average 20-10-5 next year WITHOUT accounting for an improved shot and AT LEAST 2nd team all defense= All star
He makes all the guys better. Imagine having to practice against him 😅
Underrated comment. Kyrie is a great example of this, guarding Kyrie in practice made: JR, Delly, Tatum and Brown better defenders
