- I can't believe how STUNNING all of these kids are this kidding season! The goats have all done marvelously well so far and Mayhem is no exception. She seems to have learned a thing or two about mothering since her first birth! Good Job, May.

Would you all want to see the figure 8 Disbudding method on video? I have to disbud one of the little boys soon!
Yes please. Love goat content! Still looking for some near me but Until then I watch videos and research. Neighbor still wants me to take some of their cows or sheep but I’m waiting until I know I can’t find some goat friends. ❤😊
Good morning Heather. That would be great. I don't think I've ever seen it done before. Scurs are not very pretty. Congratulations on your new babies. Once again, another pair of beautiful babies. 😍
I would like to see the figure 8, I don't think I have ever seen that done before.
Two more gorgeous
babies! Thanks for sharing and stay safe!!
Yes, please!
I would.
Here's some info I found about moonspots: www.kwfarms.com/moonspotted-nigerians#:~:text=Moonspotted%20Nigerian%20Dwarf%20Goats,gene%2C%20but%20not%20fully%20understood.
Congratulations!
Thank you! ♡♡
This birth was great 🥰 good thing you were there.🙏🏻
Yes she did need some help!!
Lol Heather, your Grandkid’s are beautiful. Congrats Sweetie. 💜💜
Hahaha thank you!!
I'm so glad that she was much better this time. The babies are so beautiful and flashy.
Aren't they?! I'm excited to see them hopping around the barn soon!!
Twins !!! Beautiful !!!! Great job Mayhem 🥰
Hi Kathy!! Good "seeing" you!!
All those moonspots! 😍 I'm sure in a couple days in the next few weeks if they send pictures of her , you'll see how much those spots really develop!
I'm going to ask for photos for sure!! Each time I go to the barn I see her and she takes my breath away!! Now, put that on a LaMancha and I'm HOARDING IT. That's what I'm hoping for in the future so I need to keep barn space, lol!!
@@SageandStoneHomestead 🤣🤣 oh I get it!! You really have developed a great breeding line on your homestead Heather! Well done!!! 😊
I feel like it's just starting to form, but I'm happy with it so far!! I need my LaMancha girls to be bigger before they are bred but 2 of them are going to have Nigerian boyfriends!!
@@SageandStoneHomestead ah! milk volume and butterfat! 👏
YES and worm resistance. My LaMancha have horrible tolerance. The Nigerians seem really hardy.
Beautiful babies! Don’t know how you can part with the baby girl, she is so gorgeous!
I have her sister from last kidding, and she looks a lot like her! Otherwise, yes she would be a great keeper.
Mayhem is so adorable ❤ congrats Miss May!
Thank you!! ♡♡♡
Wow, that doeling is STUNNING! Wish you had kept her, so we could see how she turned out. 😁 Yes, would like to see that disbudding technique, please. Happy Thanksgiving!
I have her sister in my herd from last season's kidding! They look a lot alike but Boba is definitely more white and gray and this girl is more cream and brown. She's a stunner. I'm hoping Havoc (our buck) lays spots on some mini lamacha when we breed for those, because I'll definitely be keeping mini Mancha with spots!! Gotta keep space in the barn to prepare for that. 😍
@@SageandStoneHomestead Yeah, I thought our barn was pretty big... until we got the goats, hay, supplies, etc in there... and we haven't even had our first babies yet! I'm in trouble, because I know I'll want to keep all of them. 😞
Time to build some pallet shelters!!!
@@SageandStoneHomestead I know, right?
I am so glad you explained a moon spot to me. I also watch blue cactus dairy goats and she mentioned she hopes her kids have those spots and I was going to Google it but I got side tracked and forgot to do it. Now I don't have to. I just wanted to let you know you are a inspiration to me. You are a very hard worker. I am so glad I stumbled onto your channel. ❤
Thank You SO much, Diana!! ♡♡
Helloooooo Heather 😁it’s been a bit since I’ve been since I’ve seen you. I have saved all my Sage and Stone Homestead so I can watch them on Thanksgiving morning & through the day ! Calling It my Marathon 😁 I hope you all have a wonderful & safe Thanksgiving.🍗🍗🍗 Much 💕
Awe I've missed seeing you!!! I hope you enjoy the marathon! Happy Thanksgiving!!♡♡
Congrats on the new babies! They are GORGEOUS! He has a style and pattern of kids he throw uh?
BEAUTIFUL! Good job May!
He does!! He really likes to spot his kids which I LOVE!!
Also Lety, I sent you an email! I lost your number with my old phone. Can you text me??
@@SageandStoneHomestead haven't checked my email! I will and I'll send it there!
Looks like Mayhem did MUCH better this time, glad to see it. Adorable babies and thank you for explaining moonspots!
I'm so glad Mayhem did better!!
Dear Heather, you are the most beautiful midwife. I love how you nurture your mama's during the whole time. And you are so knowledgeable in it all, & give us great info!! Congrats Mayhem, your babies are gorgeous!!
Thank you so much, Bonnie!! That means so much!♡♡
What a pretty set of kids!
Mayhem is good at that!!
I was hoping you posted this one soon..
Here it is!! 😍
I absolutely enjoy your videos Heather!!!! I am learning so much from you. Your calm, nurturing and soothing approach is such an enjoyable experience every time, and keeps me yearning for more. I dream of my own mini homestead, and your calmness, modesty and simple approach to everything assures me that I too, can have this dream. It will take the time and place to happen. Thank you!!!
Thank you so much for the sweet comment!!! I'm so glad you're here!!♡
What a gorgeous doeling!! I'm so glad it all went so well. You've got a great start with this year's kidding!! God bless!
Yes I'm praying spring goes well too!! So far 4 does and all the kids came pretty standardly!!
This was amazing content to watch. Makes me excited for when we breed our Nigerian dwarf goats come spring :)
It's definitely an exciting time!!!
Maaaaaan. I'm deep in research before getting 2 goats. This birth literally has me crying like a baby. ❤
Awe haha!! Thanks for watching!
Great way to start off my Tuesday!!!!!!!!!! Thank you. Beautiful babies.
Happy Tuesday!! It was odd not posting garden content but Mayhem did not dissapoint!!
Beautiful babies! So adorable 🥰
Thanks!!♡♡
She did so well this time, congrats! That doeling is absolutely beautiful the new owners are very lucky
They really are!! She is precious!!
Great video. I Love that you showed more of 'after' they are born...getting dry / bonding with mom / and most important Nursing. (once they are 'latched on, we know all is well!)
There are so many birthing videos, I have seen hundreds.... and a video of 80 percent of labor / and only 10-20 % of the babies is not fun. (I watch to see the babies)
> Beautiful kids! Hey...the Music is not needed. (or maybe turn down) It's hard to hear you when you are talking....and I love to just hear the sounds of the farm.
Thanks so much!! We found that music helps retention but I definitely have less distracting types in my library. I appreciate the feedback, thanks for watching!!
As a mom who had gestational diabetes I can relate. The first thing I said omg I want French fries.
Hahaha
I've read moonspots cant be black or white or on white. Your little girl is cream and the spots look more brownish so I believe they are moonspots. Their colors change sometimes but whatever gets on the paperwork is what they go with lol.
Ah, yes it makes sense black wouldn't count!!
So how long si they start on the mommas milk? They seem to wean very quickly?
The people I sell them to will bottle feed! A lot of people like to bottle feed around here. The babies need milk or milk substitute for at least 8 weeks. I keep the babies here for a few days so they get all the colostrum they can!♡
Do you have people take them after they are a few days old?
Yes a lot of people prefer to bottle feed and thr transisiton is easiest when they are as young as possible. We keep them on mama for a few days so they get as much colostrum as possible. ♡
She's beautiful! She needs to be "friends" with the male from the other day 😂
Hahaha they are half siblings and I don't like to breed that closely. But omg the spots would be amazing!!
Do your other goats have that much trouble? My goats had their first kids this summer, and I just went out to check on them. All done and healthy. There was one that I do not think was a great mom, but I don't think she struggled.
I can’t remember what happened in this birth since it was a couple seasons ago but 9 times out of 10 things work out fine
What type of monitor do you have? Is the range good? We are getting 4 Nigerian Dwarfs next month and I want to be able to keep an eye in them. We also have chickens and new baby chicks on the opposite side of the house and have wanted a way to check in on them for some time now. Thank you and I love your videos!
Hey! Thanks so much! We have an 11 year old Summer Infant baby monitor. It doesn't have wifi, not that it would matter lol! It spans a good 500 feet if the range is clear, it will lose signal if there are too many walls breaking up the signal.
@@SageandStoneHomestead thank you so much!!
You're so welcome! Congrats on thr goats and chickens!
@@SageandStoneHomestead thank you 😊
