I love when movies seamlessly weave in a theme through seemingly innocuous acts or industries like architecture or painting without being heavy handed. Let alone doing do it with multiple themes. Haven’t seen this movie yet but based on this conversation definitely going to now. Great talk, thanks for the insite fellas

I am writing this without starting your video. Thank you. You guys have rekindled a very strong desire to get into enjoying movies critically after about a decade of watching and forgetting about them right after. So much so that in the month of January I have managed to watch advanced screenings of a few new movies getting wider releases later. It’s been over a week since I watched The Brutalist in one such special screening and I have waited patiently to know your views since I walked out that theatre. I have thought about this movie every day since and the incredible score playing in the background in rotation. Compelling movie. Ok I’ll press play now.

Excellent talk. Agree with everything you said. One of my favourite films of the last 10 years easily. The Brutalist just floored me. Phenomenal across the board. I haven’t stopped listening to the score. Brady’s direction impressed me so much & Guy Pearce’s performance stole the film. Wow!
