Photoshop has existed for decades. This is just that without all the user effort.
Not true lol these are optional , I repeat Optional features. Back in the days only designers had access to these technologies such as photoshop. Now you can have access to it on your cellphone. It is an improvement not the other way around and I repeat its optional, optional. Cheers
@@delicious9930 I'm pushing 40, and when I think about the 'avatar' pics back in my early 20s, especially in anything with dating potential, 'manipulated' is the first word that comes to mind. I suppose the doctoring wasn't optional where it mattered. Hell, come to think of it, hundreds of years before photography when the wealthy commissioned portraits, I'm sure painters knew they needed to lie to get paid. None of this is even a little new is what I'm trying to say.

people are so obsessed to be perceived as the best version of themselves that they are okay with it not even being them in the photo. Just an ai photo that resembles them.

but it is them? it seems to just be copy pasting pieces of different photos together, blending everyone’s “best” photo (smiling, not blinking, etc.) into one. it’s not actually “creating” your face, just replacing it with a face you made in a different take

pixel dont generate a face. Its still your face but from different photo. that much extent is acceptable as a feature as technology and generation advancing, Its just like 40 years ago people used to use a studio lighting for a single shot photos if you think like that
Indeed. I had a photo of me taken recently with an old-fashioned DSLR, and I was surprised I don't look anywhere as good as I do on most of my recent photos (all taken with flattering AI, obviously)... Bit of a rude awakening of sorts.
The fact that I’m going out of my way to find this commercial on RUclips just to comment how annoying it is reflects how bad it is.

I think appearance wise the regular 8 looks more expensive than the 8 Pro, sizes apart. They should've color matched the visor. Last year's Pixel 7 Pro hazel looked so beautiful with the dark gold kinda visor.

Love the new aesthetic and the fact that there are 7 years of updates. I don't understand the price increase but maybe next year the price will stay the same and the fingerprint scanner will finally change to ultrasonic

Wish pixel was officially available in my country which is malaysia. A big fan since the galaxy nexus.
Fake photo or not, no one would ever believe the portly fella at the start could jump that high.
pretty much all of these fancy/gimmicky features are not even being done by the phone, its just being done n the cloud meaning you need a good internet connection to do them & they are very slow too. Magic eraser takes about 20 / 30 seconds which is just an awful experience. Not to mention a load of these features are US exclusive only (for now). Not cool at all.
Am i the only one who doesn't like this AI thing do to the photos? I like my photos the way it captured, not edited by AI just to make it "perfect"...
It's basically just Photoshop but easier tho, you don't have to edit them if you don't want to
You can leave it as it is.. it's not automatic...just a choice.. sometimes we have to edit things so this comes handy :)
It is optional, it depends on the person if they want to edit their photos or videos with AI or not

I find this type of tech scary. I don't trust A.I, and there are doughnuts in this ad smiling as this thing is copying your identity 0:38 prime example doughnuts.
Nor SHOULD you trust AI. AI doesn't exist for people to trust the realism and accuracy of the produced end result. It exists to produce an idealized capture of a moment in time, which does not change the memory of the experience but is instead a representation of how the individual(s) wish for that experience to be represented and presented in visual medium.
Google should also give 1-2 years of extra OS updates to Pixel 6 and 7 series 😥

Its not fake smiles u didnt understand lol it takes rapid photos of everyone and simply use ai to make a photo where everyone was smiling. Its the real people with their real beautiful smile. This is great for social media posting as its unfair to have a nice group picture but only one person looking like donkey from shrek because they had closed their eyes on the bad second while they had a nice smile for 10 seconds lol

No. The draw for this technology is to capture an idealized version of a moment in time, which will do nothing to alter the memory the individual(s) obtained from those experiences. Photography has never and will absolutely never be about realistic captures. Capturing the "perfect moment" has always been the ideal in photography. Not because the experience itself is any less valuable for having not captured the perfect moment, but because the perfect moment becomes the perfect depiction or representation of that experience as the individual(s) wish to remember it.

A picture doesn't alter the lived experience I've had no matter how altered the picture itself is, thus my memory of the experience remains unaltered. You're fear-mongering for absolutely no reason. You should NEVER trust images... EVER! In the history of all photography, photos have never been realistic. They are meant to tell a story. They're not meant to alter a lived experience.
Trusting in images because you think something being photographed is, in principle, meant to be an accurate representation of reality is how we get morons still believing in Nessie and Big Foot because they saw an alleged image of them. Images have ALWAYS been alterable.
In fact, photography has been altering and fibbing for as long as photography has existed. Look at “spirit photographs” from the mid-1800s to early-1900s.
Stop pretending photography has EVER been meant to accurately and realistically portray a memory. You're only fooling yourself.

I had to send my pixel 5, 6, and 7 back -- because the screens all caused eye strain - the pixel screens from the 5 on, all appear as if there is something slightly out of focus - and makes my eyes feel that they're straining to focus on the screen a bit --- I didn't have this at all with my pixel 2, 3, or 4 xl. Those had AMOLED and P-OLED. I had to skip the AMOLEDS in the pixel 6 and 7 pro because of the curved screen which was a dealbreaker for me, and I was hoping that FINALLY with the pixel 8 pro, I would be able to upgrade my old pixel 4 xl. Sadly, the screen on the P8 pro has the same issue as the 5, 6, and 7 -- causing immediate eye strain and appearing to be slightly out of focus. I had to send it back. The Samsung Galaxy series, which uses AMOLEDs does not have this problem, and the screens are both clearer / sharper, and completely comfortable on my eyes. I'm giving up on the Pixel until the screen issues are resolved. Strange how no one else seems to notice this

I have had pixel 7, 7 pro and 8. and I can't believe that Google has so much delay that it doesn't allow you to connect 2 different Bluetooth headphones at the same time like the Samsung ones. It is ridiculous how Google being the father of Android, they are so behind in many options that other third parties have. such as: 1- two Bluetooth devices at the same time, 2- select a greater amount of camera definition and not just two, having 50 pixels and having the photo full weight. 3- not having automatic arrangement of icons on the screen, 3- a fourth control button (forward) and not just back) there are times when I want to return from an internet page after going back) 4- compatibility with old apps that no longer exist exist. I have some very good apps that I can no longer use and that are better than the current ones. 5- uninstall floatware apps like RUclips or other junk apps that no one uses. 6- a highly secure text note with a password or more, as secure as the iPhone one. 7- disappear the horrible google bar at the bottom.
The unblur and denoise features are amazing, but the promotion of AI to straight up lie is like beauty filters but for anything else, not only appearance. I think its very dangerous that EVEN IN THIS TRAILER they promote its use to lie.

Wish we had a Google pixel pro version with. 6.2 inch size which is handy size. I hate big sized phones. Don't want to get 6.7 inch phone for all the feature. Why google isn't able to make 6.2 sized pro phone? Learn something from iphone Pro
