Freediving the Blue Hole of Ichetucknee Springs | Florida's BEST Natural Springs?

- As we continued on our search for Florida's best natural springs, we stopped by the Ichetucknee Head Springs and Blue Hole Springs, which are both found in Ichetucknee Springs State Park. Both are great spots for freediving and snorkeling. We were lucky to go on a Monday and have them practically all to ourselves.

A friend and I hit this one on a Florida Springs trip in 2015. I think Blue Hole Spring had the coolest cave of all the ones we visited. We wanted to tube down the Ichetucknee River, but tubing was unfortunately closed for the season when we went.
We tubed it as well. Probably will make a video that too. It's a beautiful place.
@@JesseStLouis Did you go to Ginnie Springs as well? They have one there called the Devil's Spring System with 3 different connected caves.. that was another one of my favorites.

Great video man, I lived in Tampa for about 6 years before making my way back up to the PNW. I much prefer the west coast but I sure do miss the springs down there. Nothing else like it

The funny thing is back in May the flow was greatly diminished. Much harder to get the to bottom right now, but thankfully the crowds have left again. Had it to myself this morning.

There are few things I miss about Florida. The springs are one of them. Blue hole is one of a dozen or so of 1st Magnitude springs that exist in Florida. If I could just live inside the State parks and not have to acknowledge the Urban sprawl that has destroyed the rest of the state, I could return there...
