You are making me so jealous. My straight six won't sound so strong. I believe... Summit racing makes a great Mustang exhaust. Another great job Stephan !
It was 78° and sunny today.😎 So... I really have no excuse on my end... 🤔Now that many of the little projects on my house are getting completed... 💥💥💥💥
Air shocks are pretty badass because it gives you an adjustability but there's also a type of shock called a load leveler I've used them many at times on like 65 66 mustangs with a little butt sag it is a shock with a coil spring built into it and designed to go in the factory locations in the rear and with a little bit of extra spring pressure it helps lift the rear end but also if you put any weight back there it holds it up better than an air shock will but looking at the u-bolts in the plate on that rear axle I would replace those that looks pretty rusted to me I'm sure you have more expertise with the rust than I do being in Canada and all but those plates are looking awfully thin
Yes. This was a cheap solution for the sagging rear. Ideally the car would get all new leaf springs but for now it's a good cheap solution. The issue back there is that the frame rails just behind that need so patching up.
Thanks! It still has no exhaust. That will be the next big expense. Once the car is a bit quieter it will be easier to tune the engine and finish up the small items
I wanted to do the same thing on my 63 Comet. I told by some folks that the mounting area on the top side is not designed for all that pressure that is pushing up. It will eventually crack. What are your thoughts?
Really ? Have never heard that. For me is was the best way to compensate for a sagging rear end. Quick and easy. And looks good too. There are rubber bushings on each end and when under pressure aren't really squished. Having said that I'm no expert.
@@fireunity7918 Pretty sure I ordered it from Summit racing from their catalogue. Not sure if it had a specific name. Just one to fit the particular car
That car was made to be jacked up in the back 😊 Looks a lot better now PSG - nice video. Sounds like a drag car :)
Yes. I have to say, I love that look. Those air shocks from Sumit are the best money I have spent on that car and very well priced.
I like the look of the "rake" also Stephan! 🙂👍 Much better. Take care 🔧
Hi Zane ! Thanks for your ongoing support. You must be too busy to post?
@@pstreetgarage7304 Ooh yeah, what a mess here! 😣
@@HODGEPODGEDODGEGARAGE I know., life is always so busy.
I bet that ride is 100% better looks and sounds awesome 👍
Yes a definite improvement !! I love the stance now, was quite saggy before

Thanks man !!! I appreciate that. The old car is coming along. Getting cold out now. I've been spending more time on my son's Cruze 😡

@@Whitecranekungfu I would kill for your weather. I actually enjoy working outside but laying on the ground when it's below freezing is not fun
Air shocks are my choice on most of the classic cars I’ve owned. I usually use them the level the car after lowering the front.
Ya. I love them, it completely changed the cars look. They are reasonably priced also
Looks Fantastic......

Would prefer the sills parallel to the ground but cool that it has the adjustability option. What's the current situation with your exhaust?

Looks cool
Thank you Sir. I am happy with it
