If your comment is about set names during modeling in Abaqus environment the first 'set-1' belongs to the part but the second belongs to assembly. It is not recommended but possible.

Well but in case of 3d body having 1000s of elements finding element numbers of surface elements manually is not possible without mistake . I understand the matlab part u said but manually finding element number and which surface is exposed at boundary manually is not easy.

Can you have two nsets with the same name? You have set-1 for all nodes, and also for the bottom nodes too.

Can u create a video for inp files of 3d body? I need the details of nodes of all the outer surfaces (elementwise). How can I achieve this?
usually nodes on a surface have constant x or y or z. So you can write a script to extract them from inp file.

At first create the inp file. Then copy node and element information lines to matlab and find your interested nodes by a matlab code.

In my Baqus 6.14 version .inp file is not generated.. is it could be issue with Lmstool?
In fact the job is performed by inp file. If you can run the problem the inp file exist in your computer.
