Y dont u look for a ralliart they are awd from the evo 9 have the same engine as the evo 10 and they have a 6 speed dual clutch transmission but get one from above 2009 otherwise u wont get awd
I want to say that this is a fair review of the Lancer GT and I agree with much of what is said. I've owned a Lancer GT since they introduced this generation (2008 model year) and had it since Oct. of 2007. So I've had it for a solid 7 years of daily driving/commuting here in the NE (all four seasons, stored outside). The car now has 165,000 trouble-free miles on the odometer and has only had basic regular maintenance done to it (oil/brakes/tires...). The engine (2.0L Mivec, 1st year they all came with 2.0L) is still rock solid and going strong. The CVT in it is getting a bit of a whine to it, but still works great (lasted longer then most automatics I've had in the past, so no complaints). The Lancer has been a very reliable car for me and I really can't complain about much. I would recommend buying dedicated snow tires (16" steel rims/fatter sidewall tires) if you are considering buying and you live in an area that has snowfall. The car is great in the snow with the proper set-up, but with the stock 18" rims/tires, it is a death trap in snow. I'm now starting to consider buying a new car soon, as I usually change cars out when they get up there in the mileage. My first thought was to get another Lancer... But, they havent changed much of anything since I bought my car. I mean.. My 2008 looks almost identical to the car in this review (some small changes, but basically the same.. the 2008's at least came with the sportier skirts and wing). Back when I bought mine, the interior was decent.. not great, some cheap plastics, but decent. Now though, compared to what is out there, it is very dated and really needs a refresh. It is a shame that Mitsubishi has not refreshed it yet. I may hold out till late 2015 when the 2016 model cars come out before my next car purchase. If Mitsubishi hasn't made a change by then, they will have lost a repeat customer. If my current Lancer was to die tomorrow, I would be buying from a different car company. Mitsubishi.. are you reading this? Take note and listen to your customers.
The only reason I am here is because of Mitsubishi. They are my favourite car manufactor. Thanks for reviewing them! This will improve so I can find the car I want.
+TheDeadGamerz , People say Mitsubishi is a Junk car. So what's your opinion? I have 2015 Lancer GT (Stick Shift). I just got it few weeks ago and I am kinda doubt as people told me Mitsubishi is bad. Could you please tell us more about this?
Car may be outdated and underpowered but its hands down the best looking economy car out there. the civics, fiestas, mazda3s are butt ugly and im hella happy with my 08 lancer gts.
Hey I have a 13 GT Manual and I've beaten cars with way more HP when they find out I only have 168 hp they start saying its tuned. It's a fun little car.
Y dont u look for a ralliart they are awd from the evo 9 they have the same engine from the evo 10 they have a 6 speed dual clutch transmission but get one from above 2009 otherwise u wont get the above and also it has 240hp

1. Ground Clearance Difference - This GT you tested has the 18" Wheels, v. the 16" on the normal sedan. 2. This GT you tested does have heated front seats. The switches are located at the rear of the center console.
I’ve just bought a 0km 2018 GT full option and it’s the best car. It just feels way more quicker and it’s actual power. Besides it’s reliability. Highly recommend.
Am I the only one who noticed the difference in the review style for this and the Nissan Versa Note videos? ? The review is more fluid now, natural, realistic, and more enjoyable. I try to pinpoint the change but can't. Great work Dave.
I have a 2012 Lancer, and my god the price I got it for is no where near 27K. Somewhat confusing because for that price now you can get an evo x used of course. I got my lancer for under 14k with 46k on the odometer. With some easy bolt ons you don't get much gains until higher in the power band, but with a couple bolt ons and a chip you can get this car to 200hp no problem. Even without a chip it has enough power. Not a care to race or brag about, nice to cruise around but when you want to get on it, you deffinatly can have some fun with it. For someone whose 20 years old this is a perfect car. I like the interior design, simple and classy. The exterior is a sharp design as well but the paint is really really bad, chips so easily. I do have to mention even though from the factory the 2.4l has 168hp, this engine stock internals can handle a decent amount of more power. The evos have a smaller engine but of course are tuned and turboed. People have been slapping on turbos on the 2.4l and if they do it right can get even more power than a STOCK evo x. Granted it costs 5-6 grand. But look at it this way I bought my car for 14k, turbo it and i still pay under 20k, and you can have a car either with the same power or in some cases more power than an evo, and you're not paying the insurance of an evo.
Fuel economy in my 2008 Hyundai Sonata gets 27.8 mpg combine. My engine is a 3.3L V6. 5-speed automatic. Guess Mitsubishi has a long ways to go to improve fuel economy and performance. Overall, great video.
i have lancer GT 2009 and i love it. but you forget to mention AFS as well as GT has 18" rims but other variants have only 16". and you must try manual driving either with stick or with paddle shifters its really fun.
Here in Australia I have bought a 25,000kms MY15 Lancer GSR. Initially the dash looks plain but it presents well. Though it seems that some time in 2017 th Renault, Nissan, Mitsubishi corp needs to do a complete overhaul and reinvent what has been a classic to the small-compact sedan and hatch culture. Please keep the Lancer name plate alive. Mahbe the new Megane could be the inspiration for an all new Lancer.
I have a 2012, with slightly wider tires and 8.5" wheels (the stock wheels were either 7.0 or 7.5). I regularly get over 30MPG in the city, while highway is usually like 32MPG (70MPH speed limit). These numbers are down maybe 10% due to the increase in wheel width. I will say one thing rather strange about the car though, in the sub-40 degree temperatures, it loses about 5MPG. I run on a manual transmission. Also, though this comes from a salesman at mitsu, he said the mitsu typically undersells their gad mileage, and I have found it to be true, especially with the 2012. Thinking on it, I would presume the fuel ratings are done by somebody independently, but maybe not. It always upsets me somewhat that reviewers always knock the Lancer for supposedly poor economy, when the ratings are actually significantly lower than what you get. They claim 25MPH in the city? I don't think mine has ever been that low, even in the very cold weather I mentioned. Also, I don't know what sort of weather they base the ratings on, because at my worst, their "average" is often fairly far off, even in winter. In winter I'm getting usually 27-28MPG city. I have since found that the manufacturer is indeed largely responsible for the MPG ratings, as Hyundai has got in trouble for putting way too much economy on theirs (Kia as well). I think the manufacturers do the ratings, but the EPA makes them correct them, if they should be in violation, such as with Hyundai. So at least my salesman wasn't lying to me. Kudos mitsu! I also love that mitsu doesn't hardly advertise at all in the USA, plus, when they do, it's always very dignified and isn't trying to urge people on to race their cars, such as with Dodge, Nissan, and a few others.
After owning a 2009 ES & then later a 2011 GTS with touring package. The Mitsubishi Lancer was a fun car never any major problems with them. The only complaint I had with both was the paint chipped easily. And the doors when shut sounded like they were made of tin. And the reviewer is right too much cabin noise. I would think they would have figured that out by now.
Most if not all Mitsubishi cars are like these, cabin noise is a frequent specially on bumpy city roads but when you pickup speed the noise will tone down
Hello Mr. Everyman Driver, Dave...I am assuming that the tuning for the GT suspension accounts for the higher ground clearance...The GT has bigger 1mm bigger stabilizer bar up front and a stabilizer bar in the rear compared to the ES. With this equipment, one can assume that Mitsubishi used stiffer shocks to match the suspension tuning, and probably caused less droop than the base car. This along with the 18" tire that has lesser sidewall and more alloy that causes the car to sit higher... just a thought.
How does the GT compare to the SE? The ground clearance is probably higher because of the GT's larger wheels, and it has it's seat heater controls down by the center armrest. I like the Lancer's exterior, clean controls, and good visibility but it's redesign is overdue on everything else. I do like the paddle shifters of real magnesium mounted to the column because you always have them in the same place but it's a personal preference. AGV, another great video, thanks Dave!
Thanks Dave for your reviews! I was surprised that this little compact car gets poorer fuel economy than my '14 Forester with a larger 2.5 liter engine, few more horsepower, all wheel drive, crossover!
Great reviews Dave, but the CVT vitriol needs to go. If you maintain proper fluid and filter changes with OEM fluid, there's no reason these cars cant go 200k miles, troublefree.
Im about to trade in my Honda CR-Z CVT for a Lancer GT manual transmission....Hope Im making a good choice. The Civic, Corolla, Sentra etc do not have the look and character the Lancer GT has...plus this comes with the larger 2.4 liter engine which is their most reliable engine.
Im guessing it has a slightly higher ride height because of the touring package. I would suspect it would give it that slightly softer ride that people look for on longer drives.
Low 20s mpg...funny because my 09 Lancer gets around 27-32 mpg depending on traffic and road conditions. Then again, I added an axle-back exhaust and use Eneos Synthetic oil on my engine.
Dave, I dont see how this car can compete with anything in the category. The mpg is flat out the worst of all the cars it competes against. To bad, because it is a nice looking car.
First I would like to see a performance run by the car and comments on breaking as well. I have a 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart, and they still are good looking cars. I do agree the styling of the interior+ more technology is greatly needed(push button start, digital readouts) to keep up with other cars. I think that car could of used a normal spoiler, and I do wonder why it has a higher ground clearance than a normal Lancer?
I love my 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback GTS (also in Rally Red), but this 2015 is almost unchanged. There have been tweaks to the navigation screen and I think there's a new CVT, but all in all the model has remained more or less the same since it was introduced in 2008. It seems Mitsubishi just puts a model out there and then runs it into the ground with little to no improvement or freshening. Most cars after three or four years gets a mid-cycle refresh. Not the Lancer. Again, I really enjoy my Lancer and got it for an awesome price in early 2011, but there's no way I'd buy one now. Too many competitors have introduced redesigned models in the last few years than really eclipse the Lancer in almost every regard. I will say the mileage can be a little better - a few weeks ago I replaced the truly horrible stock Dunlops with a set of Cooper Zeon RS3-A and my mix of highway and city driver is now 26 MPG instead of 24 MPG or so. Still, its pretty low compared to the competition. Basically, the Lancer needs a complete redesign ASAP.
Yea, something has happened to Mitsubishi in the US. I remember back in the 80's and 90's when Mitsubishi was a big brand, not quite as big as Toyota or Honda but, maybe bigger then Subaru and in today's terms, they would of been equivalent to today's Hyundai. They use to be very popular....what happened????
***** What happened is that Daimler/Chrysler let them go, and sold them up river. They went from being a major commercial automotive parts supplier to the Daimler/Chrysler family, with big money backing, good R&D, and consistent product development (all of which trickled down to their own automobiles), to being a struggling, low volume, also ran company surviving on a shoestring. Simply re-engineering old tired designs with as little money and technology injection as possible, just to try and survive. You will notice that since their departure from the Diamond Star Motors Group, they havent introduced anything new to the market. It has just been mild cosmetic, and minimal mechanical retrofits to try and keep the products relevant. I.E. putting CVT's on almost everything for economy numbers. Unfortunately that is really not enough, and without money coming in to help them develop new products and technology, they have become irrelevant in todays market, in so much as the average consumer is concerned. Especially when you compare the price to quality to features ratio between a Mitsubishi model, and a competing Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Mazda, Chevy, or Ford. Most everyone will justify an extra $45-60 in their monthly payment for better materials quality, and features. Mitsubishis hey-day in the WRC, with their multiple world championships, were really their golden years in terms of product design and development, and was also, not coincidentally, the peak of Daimler/Chrysler/Diamond Star Motors market influence. The EVO-X is really the last bit of that old classic Mitsu engineering, and even that is becoming too expensive for them to justify continued production. Its really quite sad, Mitsu has always had a soft spot in my heart from being a long time die hard WRC fan in the late 90's, during Tommi Makinens dominance of the sport, so to see them become the "new Kia" of the automotive world is pretty depressing. And, sadly, unless they get bought up by another manufacturer, such as with Daimler/Chrysler before, i doubt they will be around in the North American market much longer. I cant imagine Mitsubishi Heavy Industries pumping much more money into a brand already on intensive life support. Especially when the rest of the MHI's portfolio is thriving. its hard to justify the brand from a financial standpoint.
bigbuckoramma Well, somehow independent Mazda manages to introduce fresh product on a regular basis and they don't even have the big conglomerate behind them like Mitsubishi Motors does. I was worried about Mazda after Ford divested themselves of their share of the company, but they're doing O.K.. Think it has to do more with Mitsu's uninspired, hapless leadership.
Jeff Morse The thing is though, Mazda is still a part supplier and R&D center for Ford. They still sell parts and product to Ford on a regular basis, and vice versa. Its not the big main drivetrain assemblies like it used to be, but there are still a surprisingly large number of components shared between Ford and Mazda vehicles to this day. The reason for this is that Ford didn't walk out on them on like Daimler/Chrysler did to Mitsubishi. And most importantly, Ford left Mazda with most of their intellectual properties, and patents. Which allowed them to keep the mutual supplier relationship open. And more importantly, maintain a revenue stream for both companies to license technology without constraints. When Daimler/Chrysler left Mitsubishi, they took a large majority of that intellectual property with them. Such as the "World Engine". Much of what FiatSler is still doing today, hinges heavily on engineering from the old DSM Group, and GEMA. And most all of those two endeavors hinged entirely on Mitsubishi technology/know how. Chrysler, though the help of the Fiat Group, have taken those designs and moved forward with them. Hyundai have done likewise. Mitsubishi, on the other hand, cant really do much, because they don't have the capital (and I personally don't think they have the engineering staff like they used to either) to develop an entirely new platform program. So they have stuck with the old designs they still have manufacturing rights and tooling for. The old World Engine, and the old GS Chassis platform, for which the Lancer is based. Even in the case of the chassis, FiatSler has improved and evolved the chassis design, Mitsubishi has just updated the body cladding, and added in some interior flair, because there simply isn't much more they can do at this point. Mitsubishi Motors is really a shell of its former self. And again, I cant see them recovering unless they get some new money injected into them, and have a bit of a purpose in life again. Because their current lineup cant last but maybe another 2 model years, before it becomes so outdated it isn't even worth mentioning.
The reason there not been a upgrade because of it iconic race car look, you can see these in movie and there beast, but they are panning to redesign it soon
Wow Dave, every time you opened a door, or pulled a lever, it sounded like you were clanging some dollar store cookie sheets together. Depressing how far their materials quality has tumbled as they struggle. BTW, loved the little drift at 3:50
I like the Mitsubishi Lancer and i would like to buy one..but before i do i would like know..is Mitsubishi Lancer a good car to buy?? Does Mitsubishi Lancer Have a lot of mechanical problems?? Is Mitsubishi a good car Model to buy?? I need there's three questions answer
I've got to admit, the exterior design still looks good. But unfortunately it lacks in every other way. The SE AWC is a good deal. You'd probably get a screaming deal on it.
I have the 2011 and the height thing is because oddly enough it makes the car handle better. At least that's what they said on another video I believe it was another channel on RUclips.
Everyman Driver Car Reviews I'd try to drive the xd once but the lancer I didn't try it . I feel comfortable driving the xd but I heard that The Scion xB and xd will be replaced by a version of the Toyota Auris..
mohammed asal I got a 2015 Lancer GT with the bigger engine for $17,500 after discounts, much cheaper than even the base Mazda 3 with the small engine.
Hey Dave I like your reviews better than T F L , you go straight to the point, keep it coming buddy, also you think you could review the Chevy Colorado and gmc canyon. Thanks
The 2015 SE AWC (4WD) Lancer is 22k while the 2015 WRX (4WD) is $36k.. also the Lancer is available with 0% financing while the WRX is something stupid like 3.9%.. bringing the total price up to $40,000.. I don't think $18,000 difference for some extra HP is worth it.
+Grant Nicholson 2015 WRX base is 26,595 and financing options have many variables and are never the same for all buyers. the WRX is a way better deal. you get a better, proven, awd system, manual trans, more premium materials, and the lis goes on and on. The WRX is for enthusiasts and the Lancer is for everyday drivers.
i bought the Lancer 2015 GT. When navigating through the touch screen menu i see the option for AUX cable. I can't seem to find the AUX port in the car, do you know where it might be located.
+Carlos Marquina idk if its the same on the 2015 but i have a 2014 and its located in the compartment under the a/c controls but is not the typical 3.5mm jack that everyone is used to its a 2 plug RCA jack, (very stupid call by Mitsu) so you have to get an adapter for it to work with phones and such but the cable is like $2 on Amazon
It's higher, because someone at Mitsubishi wrote down the wrong part number of the springs for the different models. The car is Overpriced and looks outdated, especially in the interior.
if they want better MPG they have to take metal out of the engine and use more complex crap like direct injection and thinner oil. I would take a few MPG hit to get more durability.
buy a lancer for 15k max A great car!!!! But mod the interior and the lancer actually more powerful than the regular civic and hyundai and Kia products...oh and the focuses
The Lancer has one (huge) thing going for it that it's competition doesn't - Hydraulic Power Steering. Electric Power Steering needs to die in a fire. If I didn't have an aversion to CVT, I'd be all over this. But if I had to buy a new small car right now, I'd 100% go with this car just because it doesn't have Electric power assisted Steering, and cross my fingers that the CVT doesn't cook itself.
Ahh mitsubishi, odd decisions being made by the company. Prefers going hybrid and electric when no money are coming in. Their best-seller model (this one) not changed at all since almost 10 years. But, the exterior ages well, I still love that shark nose. Can't say the same about the interior though...Dave, you're the only one liking the 7inch touch screen..Common, it's just an after market cheap add-on. The only good reasons to buy a lancer today is reliability, 10-year warranty and somewhat good design, nothing else!
Love your reviews, but where is superman. I love looking for superman in your reviews.I watched this one a couple times just looking for it but nothing. By the way keep up the good work, awesome reviews.
Lets see what they have for 2016, unfortunately this is the last year for mitsubishi lancer EVOLUTION (2015) so they should be coming up with some new stuff and a new replacement for the evo
rockbandwii61 Yeah they should, but don't think they have enough resources to come up with a competitive successor to the X. In my opinion, Mitsu should have a hybrid trim and a rally trim.
The exterior looks good and aggressive on certain trims and up but my god the DE and SE just scream rental car. I've said this before and I'll say it again....THE LANCER NEEDS AN UPDATE!! OR KILL IT!! Most cars get a mid cycle refresh by now and go through an update every 4 years but not Mitsubishi they relied on the same look since it was first introduced back in 2008. Seriously Mitsubishi what the hell happened to you? My 2011 Malibu looks better than this hunk of crap
I'm looking at buying a lancer but I see some with awc where you can change it from 2wd to 4wd yet when I watch this video it's just a fwd so I'm confused if I'm missing something.
Gerardo Gonzalez SE trim or the new SEL trim nothing new just facelift and some cup holders etc.. just get 2012 SE and buy Gt /ralliart bumper and you'll save money
One is the Timex Ironman Move x20 Activity Band, the other is the Timex Ironman Run x20 GPS sports watch - ruclips.net/p/PL6KEuljqueVifjziK14GF30x9UzjXrBP3 You can find 'em on this playlist.
The Evo is a whole different frame from my understanding the engine is the same but w/o the turbo(good luck tuners) It Over all it's really in its own league with the Kia and VW and ford since anyone and everyone wants a hybrid now
+TheWTFsauce got one thing wrong, the lancer es with 138HP has the 4b11, the evo engine. the GT has a 2.4L 4b12 making 168HP. imagine if the evo had the 4b12. it would be making at least 320-30 range instead of 291.
23/30 mpg is totally unacceptable for a compact car with the key word CVT on it. i don't mind driving a CVT, but not with a decent fuel economy in return.

Ground clearance is greater on the GT trim because of the 18in wheels.

Excellent review on your experience with the lancer. Better than the Nissan Sentra for sure.

got a lancer gta. this car screams customization. it looks good and fuel efficient.

Hands down the best looking compact sedan in its class!
Last year you can get the GT trim and more importantly, the 2.4 with the five speed manual
I’ve just bought a 0km 2018 GT full option and it’s the best car. It just feels way more quicker and it’s actual power. Besides it’s reliability. Highly recommend.

i think the groud clearance is higher because of the bigger wheels on the GT...and the heating seat buttons are between the 2 front seats:)
So far Im loving my Lancer GT, it is 5 speed manual and gets over 30mpg avg and did well thru all this snow we had!
Wow, you should have reviewed the 5 speed manual transmission! What a huge difference that makes! Very fun car with the manual!!!
Fuel economy in my 2008 Hyundai Sonata gets 27.8 mpg combine. My engine is a 3.3L V6. 5-speed automatic. Guess Mitsubishi has a long ways to go to improve fuel economy and performance. Overall, great video.
I got my 2014 Lancer GT for $6,000. One owner, used in great condition. I am loving it.
How is it ? I plan on getting a 2015 one owner for 6,800 but I think it’s a bit pricey it has 122x miles
i have lancer GT 2009 and i love it. but you forget to mention AFS as well as GT has 18" rims but other variants have only 16". and you must try manual driving either with stick or with paddle shifters its really fun.
Jonas Ruidera interesting.. thank you for the feedback.
The reason for the height is for the stance so the lips also won't touch the ground because they extend forward.
Thanks Todd L
I bought my 2014 lancer gt about 4 months ago and already put 3 grand worth of mods into it 🤙🏿
How has the car been treating you, any issues? I'm going to look at a 2015 Lancer tomorrow
@@rachelrock366did you end up getting it? I’m looking into a 2015 lancer with 122x
Great reviews Dave, but the CVT vitriol needs to go. If you maintain proper fluid and filter changes with OEM fluid, there's no reason these cars cant go 200k miles, troublefree.
Lower ground clearance means the car has a lower center of gravity. That allots for better control through turns.
Im about to trade in my Honda CR-Z CVT for a Lancer GT manual transmission....Hope Im making a good choice. The Civic, Corolla, Sentra etc do not have the look and character the Lancer GT has...plus this comes with the larger 2.4 liter engine which is their most reliable engine.
buildmorefarms100 plus you'll be faster than the Corolla 2.5, the Civic, the Sentra turbo, Veloster turbo, you'll love it
I love my 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer GT.
i agree about the cabin noise. in the 2008 model even having the ex gta its still really noisy. mostly on bad roads
Yes its a old car for 2008 but my 09 has almost 100k on it with no issues. Also you can get these for many thousands bellow msrp very easy.
your reccomend this car?
Dave, I dont see how this car can compete with anything in the category. The mpg is flat out the worst of all the cars it competes against. To bad, because it is a nice looking car.
i get 20 city with hill majority and 36 highway. decently good considering i went from a 99 Lexus ES300 to a small 4 banger.
Just bought this beauty with touring package with just 7000 kilometers for $19290 CAD.
so? any updates?
Hey Dave, can you test the 2015 Subaru Impreza. Would like to see how the new changes and ride are. Thinking about picking one up.
*****
right on, I am wondering the same thing. I remember those times. They are on their way out unfortunately.
I have a red 2015 and a love it best car I've owned yet compact and stylish
question is the side mirrors compatible with 08-14 lancers? or is it the same just with turn signal on it?
Wow Dave, every time you opened a door, or pulled a lever, it sounded like you were clanging some dollar store cookie sheets together. Depressing how far their materials quality has tumbled as they struggle.
BTW, loved the little drift at 3:50
ah, you notice the drift in the gravel :-) Yeah, I'm surprised how the doors sounded too.
I like the Mitsubishi Lancer and i would like to buy one..but before i do i would like
know..is Mitsubishi Lancer a good car to buy??
Does Mitsubishi Lancer Have a lot of mechanical problems??
Is Mitsubishi a good car Model to buy??
I need there's three questions answer
Hi, is it recommended to put gear in neutral during stop at traffic light or drive is better? The cvt use torque converter or else?
this model does have heated seats, its right behind the cup holders, between the armrest.
+James Maze yes it does, good call.
Hi Dave! What do you recomend best: Lancer GT or Jetta TSI?
Jetta
I've got to admit, the exterior design still looks good. But unfortunately it lacks in every other way. The SE AWC is a good deal. You'd probably get a screaming deal on it.
civic sedan 2013 or lancer gt 2013??
I have the 2011 and the height thing is because oddly enough it makes the car handle better. At least that's what they said on another video I believe it was another channel on RUclips.
I'm planning to buy a car, I don't know what should I choose between scion Xd or lancer. Can you help me please dave.
Karen Calilung Have you test driven both?
Everyman Driver Car Reviews I'd try to drive the xd once but the lancer I didn't try it . I feel comfortable driving the xd but I heard that The Scion xB and xd will be replaced by a version of the Toyota Auris..
Im getting the Lancer in 2 days. xD is being discontinued and only has a tiny 1.8 liter engine.
What about mazda 3 ?? I am thinking to buy it
What do you think??
mohammed asal I got a 2015 Lancer GT with the bigger engine for $17,500 after discounts, much cheaper than even the base Mazda 3 with the small engine.
Loves the honest reviews!
The GT has 18 inch rims and tires and the ES version has 16 inch tires
Hey Dave I like your reviews better than T F L , you go straight to the point, keep it coming buddy, also you think you could review the Chevy Colorado and gmc canyon. Thanks
I appreciate the vote of support. Not sure on the Colorado but I can request one.
Thanks Dave.
The ground clearance is more because it has better shocks compared to the Es
The design's aged reasonably well.
27 grand yep I would definitely take this over a WRX! FWD vs AWD, CVT vs Manual, and who needs more than 160hp anyway!
The WRX is for enthusiasts and the Lancer is for everyday drivers.
haha dude you're on five mile. represent!
i bought the Lancer 2015 GT.
Could be the size if the wheels giving it more ground clearance
why didnt mitsu put the 4b12 in the evo instead of the 4b11
The GT's sport tuned suspension probably just sits a bit higher.
Thanks Dave!
if they want better MPG they have to take metal out of the engine and use more complex crap like direct injection and thinner oil. I would take a few MPG hit to get more durability.
lol have you people seen the lancer since about the late 90's? It's exactly the same car as it is now. Except for the shiny new gadgets.
buy a lancer for 15k max A great car!!!! But mod the interior and the lancer actually more powerful than the regular civic and hyundai and Kia products...oh and the focuses
Dave could the different rim/tire size be the small difference in ride height between the models?
Could be the rim/tire size.
The Jatco CVT holds up alot better in Mitsubishi than in Nissan. Programming plays a huge part.
The gt model has slightly bigger wheel causing for more ground clearance.
I love this car the front and back lights are preety cool
Good job for the company
I can't spell he company name
Love your reviews, but where is superman. I love looking for superman in your reviews.I watched this one a couple times just looking for it but nothing. By the way keep up the good work, awesome reviews.
Kal-El has been in Gotham dealing with Bruce Wayne :-)
The Lancer is a Rally car so a person who buys it does not need to spend money on raising the ride hight
I hope this is a joke
Just bought one 👌
Lets see what they have for 2016, unfortunately this is the last year for mitsubishi lancer EVOLUTION (2015) so they should be coming up with some new stuff and a new replacement for the evo
rockbandwii61 Yeah they should, but don't think they have enough resources to come up with a competitive successor to the X. In my opinion, Mitsu should have a hybrid trim and a rally trim.
Speculations are a hybrid turbo desiel
The exterior looks good and aggressive on certain trims and up but my god the DE and SE just scream rental car. I've said this before and I'll say it again....THE LANCER NEEDS AN UPDATE!! OR KILL IT!! Most cars get a mid cycle refresh by now and go through an update every 4 years but not Mitsubishi they relied on the same look since it was first introduced back in 2008. Seriously Mitsubishi what the hell happened to you? My 2011 Malibu looks better than this hunk of crap
WHY there is no car spoiler ?! weird
It's not the rally evolution anymore so no big spoilers added...
I wish you would turn the dumb music off, so I can hear the cabin noise.
I'm looking at buying a lancer but I see some with awc where you can change it from 2wd to 4wd yet when I watch this video it's just a fwd so I'm confused if I'm missing something.
This is the 2015 model
Gerardo Gonzalez SE trim or the new SEL trim nothing new just facelift and some cup holders etc.. just get 2012 SE and buy Gt /ralliart bumper and you'll save money
lancer got cool design no doubt but seriously, you guys need to make new designed lancer plz.
That one did have the heated seats
Hi Dave! Did i hear it correct, 2.4L engine with 160hp?! Why?
And also, are you wearing a watch with both wrist? A new trend?
One is the Timex Ironman Move x20 Activity Band, the other is the Timex Ironman Run x20 GPS sports watch - ruclips.net/p/PL6KEuljqueVifjziK14GF30x9UzjXrBP3 You can find 'em on this playlist.
Dave, are you left handed? I see your watch is on your right hand. Great review by the way
Carlos Guevara I'm right handed but started wearing my watches on my right hand when I was a teenager.
168 hp
only 168hp for a 2.4L engine car? why so low?
is there a 2016 model of this in manual?
Yes, 2.0 engine in base trim only though
How is that bad? Over 160 hp. One should do much better than 22500 cost with negotiation. I would personally buy a base Subaru Forester for 20 grand.
Sir! Could u please make a review for lancer ex which is 1.5 l cvt
can someone please find me the part number for- 2015 gt floor shifter? I've been looking for a week haha
Once again, shut the doors Mitsu.
Lancer GT used the body of Lancer Evolution right?
CVT is a minus
Engine is okay (don't need 4B11T to reach 120mph)
Better than Civics
The Evo is a whole different frame from my understanding
the engine is the same but w/o the turbo(good luck tuners)
It
Over all it's really in its own league with the Kia and VW and ford since anyone and everyone wants a hybrid now
+TheWTFsauce got one thing wrong, the lancer es with 138HP has the 4b11, the evo engine. the GT has a 2.4L 4b12 making 168HP. imagine if the evo had the 4b12. it would be making at least 320-30 range instead of 291.
Overhead Valve different and wider Gt is more similar to the ralliart without nice hood / spoiler and that turbo
looks cool
Nevermind theirs paddle shifters
Wheres paddle shifters and spoiler? Well at least this has a duck spoiler
Isn't this the last year of this car?
FWD?
23/30 mpg is totally unacceptable for a compact car with the key word CVT on it. i don't mind driving a CVT, but not with a decent fuel economy in return.
Mitsubishi needs to step. Up fuel economy now, and maybe a new interior
what does cvt means???
+sharif mercer continuous variable transmission
