I stayed a night in a Hyatt Place in the Nashville area for 5,000 points this March when the cash rate was $200. They had a promotion going on and I received 3,022 points for my stay. So something that would have cost me $200 cost me a net of 1,978 points. I effectively got ten cents per point.
Amazing!!! Good job!
Sorry if this is a noob question but do you normally get points back on award stays or was that part of the promotion?
Just part of the promotion
@@ChrisHartig44 that’s pretty crazy tbh. How did u find the promo? Wonder if I could repeat someone like that.
I'd like to add that while 1.7-1.9cpp may be a good base range, I've hardly seen anything lower. It's VERY easy to find a redemption for 2-2.5cpp and I've seen up to 8cpp for sweet spots without doing a lot of homework. Honestly I probably wouldn't cash in points below 2.5cpp, it's easier to hold off and find a better value elsewhere in the chain.
Thanks for the data points!!
Best Hyatt hotels in US. Thompson hotels. The Beekman in NYC is chefs kiss
Nice!
Cant wait to get out of 5/24 jail late next year. The Hyatt card is the first card im getting
Good move
It would be nice if Hyatt came out with a premium card with even higher status.
Yes I agree.
@@LukesPointsandMiles have you reviewed the business world of Hyatt card.
What would higher status on a premium card give you?
The purple background and black shirt makes the video pop 🔥🔥 keep up the good work 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Hey thanks!!
Perfect timing for this video, Thanks man. I have been trying to get this done
Thanks for watching!!
Great video. But there is only so much of me to go around. And I chose Hilton because of the footprint that you mentioned. But I do have a Hyatt membership that I transfer chase points to.
Channel is looking good
Thanks Dave. I’m a Hilton man myself.
You have to do this in one calendar year right? Also when you achieve globalist how long do you keep it for? The rest of the calendar year or one year from when you achieve it? That's the only thing I get confused about.
Calendar year and you’ll have that status through the following year. So if you got it today you’d have status through 2023
Yeh, Definitely, like your intro and congratulations for the sponsors. Like your recent changes. You improve a lot in recent past, I Don't know how you do that but great work. Keep up the Great work
Thank you, sir!!
Stayed at the Grand Hyatt Kauai and Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta and absolutely loved both places! Great value too!
There’s a path through Celebrity Cruises Captain’s Club since they match to MGM.
Celebrity Classic -> MGM Pearl -> Discoverist
Celebrity Select or above -> MGM Gold -> Explorist.
You’d get Classic after the first completed cruise. Select takes 5-7+ depending on stateroom. Cruise status never reverts, so as long as the MGM match stands…
What editing software do you recommend? I have a Windows computer, there's so many choices out there!
I’m currently using Adobe premier but I’m not knowledgeable enough to recommend anything
Grand Hyatt Kauai and Andaz Maui are great properties.
Grand Hyatt, probably my favorite hotel ever
I'm fairly new to points and miles, but about to hit the 2nd tier SUB on the Hyatt card. Last Sunday in Vegas, the very simple status match with MGM was 100%worthwhile. With just Pearl, we were able to zip past about 100 people in a buffet line.
That’s priceless!!
What happens if you already earn discoverist status before you apply to get the world of hyatt personal card?
Nothing. The card process complimentary status so if you already have to them nothing happens. The card can still help you earn nights towards the next level of status.
Hyatt is awesome! We used 2 100K sapphire preferred bonuses to book 2 rooms for 8 days at Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress near Disney for a family vacation. It was a very nice redemption for us as we got about 3 cents per point and had 2 rooms! Plus we have plenty left over for a trip to New Orleans later this year.
We love New Orleans!!
That hotel is my family's preferred hotel for when we are heading to Disney. We typically stay there the day we arrive and lounge at that amazing pool before we gather our things for the stay at a Disney Resort
Hyatt is the way I use my Chase points 99% of the time, best bang for the buck. Hyatt can also link to American Airlines, need status to earn in respective program, though still worth it.
Thanks for watching!!
I just spent 3 weeks traveling the UK & Ireland staying in only Hyatt hotels all from my chase points. It was my first trip to Europe and I have to say I was very impressed with all the properties, but especially the Hyatt regency in London and the Gainsborough Bath Spa in Bath. Hyatt house Manchester was also a great property for the cost. Incredible value.
Sounds like a great trip!!
UK and ireland is a 2 week trip max
@@911eVoX haha! I respectfully disagree. What's your proposed itinerary?? Could've spent a lot more time in Ireland, Wales and Scotland themselves. There's a lot more to see if you travel out of the main cities into the country.
But it all depends on what you like seeing! I like the history, the castles and historic sites. If you don't like those then maybe it's not a trip that keeps your interested.
Very informative! I just matched my Hyatt Explorist status to Mlife Gold online following your instructions. Also didn’t know until now that Mlife gold can match to Caesar diamond. Thanks!
I have both cards and I already have globalist this year between my stays and the two cards. In the future, between the two cards, I'll have 30 nights knocked off for spending on them.
Great strategy!!
Every year, you get 5 Qualifying Nights for holding the card. Do those accumulate/carry over to the next year, or do they reset to zero? Similar question: you get to Globalist status, and then in Feb of year X, you lose it. What happens? If you still hold the card, do you get the 10 for being a Discoverist, and 5 more annual?
I don’t think I understand your question
But a new year resets. You need to re-qualify. Nothing accumulates.
Wow I’m happy I came across this I totally forgot about my MGM gold status and now just like that I’m Explorist with Hyatt! Thanks for this one lol
Big Tymer!!!
There is a Hyatt in St Louis that is walking distance to Busch stadium. There are rooms that look straight out at the Arch.
Parking is terrible there though.
Very cool
Don't forget. You can (at least for now) "ping-pong" Hyatt Explorist and MGM Gold status
I believe I mentioned that a couple of times.
I was referring to the process of (for example) using Explorist status to match to Gold and then (later on) using Gold status to match back to Explorist (without having to earn Explorist)
@@PurpleDrazi ah good point! Sorry.
Nice work Luke! Let’s grab a beer when you are in Tampa!
Absolutely!!!
Thank you 🙏🏾
I just got my first chase card with HYATT so I’m excited to see what that does no more hard Inquires this year for me
Nice work!!
Lol I did too and it was the world of Hyatt card you’ll definitely love the card
Luke what’s your fav airline
The one that has the best route.
I definitely enjoy the changes you’ve made recently. Your quality gets better and better each video. Also, I hope that new MacBook goes towards welcome bonus spend! As for the Hyatt cards, I think the personal one can be a great card to have just for getting status with hyatt and all the benefits that come with that. It has been a card I have kept my eye on for a while and it will likely be one I pick up down the line just because of their close relationship with Chase and how much I enjoy their properties. Only time will tell though!
Absolutely. I got the $500 sign up bonus on the us bank triple cash with one click! Haha
@@LukesPointsandMiles Haha good to hear!
Awesome video! Loved how you demonstrated how to do this online and in person. Keep up your great work!
Thank you, sir!!
Best Value for points in the hotel game!!!! Gonna be hard to get to Globalist Staus but once u earn it man it’s a beast!!!!
yes sir!!
Once you achieve globalist how do stay at that status tier? What do I need to maintain?
Love the new intro
Thanks, Paul!!
You mentioned that Hyatt is exclusive to Chase, but the Bilt MasterCard also transfers, and that can be useful for anyone renting.
Yea you are correct. They are fairly new.
@@LukesPointsandMiles I'm curious if you would agree that if Wells Fargo points earned on the Active Cash Card could be transferred into Bilt points, that Wells Fargo could be considered a very competitive credit card system.
My problem is that finding a 2X catch-all card that has transferable points is difficult for me, because for some reason Amex does not want to give me the blue business Plus, and Citi does not have very many useful Transfer Partners for me
@@PointsPrecision There's a wells fargo Active cash card? I have the bilt card..
@@fpanadero2626 it's just a 2% card. And it's currently given in the form of cash back, but if they made it so that you could transfer out the 2x through the built reward system, it would be a very competitive system for people who rent. Currently you can't do that though. But it does have a bonus
@@PointsPrecision ..yeah that'd be cool. I'm racking up decent points with Bilt and plan to transfer to Hyatt. Almost as good as chase sapphire preferred
That new intro thoo 😂 its nice
Thank you!!!
bro, 3min of your 12min was an ad for a trash service. weak.
First time on RUclips?
Do the 5 elite nights stack if you hold the business and personal card? Similar to the Marriott cards?
Yea
Awesome! After spending 60 nights with Hyatt or spending 130k on their card, you might get an upgrade to a suite and we will throw you some eggs and toast as our way of saying thanks. Worthless.
Haha! Not for you huh?
@@LukesPointsandMiles It’s not for 99% of people. For those 1 percent that it may be for can easily afford the suite or pay for breakfast. For that kind of spend I would expect stock options not 5 dollars worth of food and 25 cents worth of bottled water per day.
@@cherrygarciafan stick around and learn some tips and tricks. You may be surprised how easily you can get hotel status. Some are easier than others.
@@LukesPointsandMiles I’m currently sitting on Hilton gold, Marriott gold, IHG platinum National executive elite and Hertz Five star. I’ve played this game for years. That’s why I say most are worthless.
@@cherrygarciafan very well. I can respect your opinion!
Haven't made it there yet but I booked 5 nights at the hyatt place waikiki for 60k points. Seems like a great value and location. Almost every redemption i've made has come out to at least 3cpp. They are my favorite place to redeem my UR points
Great job, man!!
Hyatt makes Chase points so much more valuable. Great video Luke!
Great improvements. Recognized your improvements over time. Now a subscriber. Thank you for the content and due diligence.
Thank you for the compliment. We still have a ways to go but we are getting better!!
Reciprocal Program...?
Hyatt and American Airlines have a relationship
@@LukesPointsandMiles Can you transfer american airlines points to Hyatt?
@@fpanadero2626 no. But you can earn aa miles while spending with Hyatt. You can earn Hyatt points while spending with aa.
If I have an authorized user can they use the Hyatt Card as if they were me?
I don’t think I understand your question.
@@LukesPointsandMiles if I put my dad as an authorized user for my Hyatt card does he have the ability to use the free night stays on the account as well? (Assuming he booked the night himself)
@@lugohstsotofitness7817 no he just has the ability to use the card to purchase things.
Hyatt is a great brand and the Chase Hyatt credit card is pretty solid. Thanks for the video.
Thank you, for watching!!
Does Hyatt run any transfer bonus promotions like 1:1.3? I’m not in the chase ecosystem yet.
That’s not something I’ve seen at least lately.
First again
🏅
How do your points merge between the personal and business hyatt card?
Hyatt points are earned on your Hyatt account. So however you earn them they’ll all go to one account
Nice and informative video
Thank you, sir!!
Planning a 2 wek trip to 4 cities in 4 counties, tokyo, seoul, singapore, and bali. Still debating if i shoudl use my chase reward points to book all my hotel nights at hrand hyatt resorts in each city. Or use them towards the singapore airlines rewards to help lower the cost of booking flights to all these places.
Decided i will use points only for hotels i find deals in. like in bali the grand hyatt executive suite is about $400 a nigth on the days im going. but its 7000 points a night to book those same exact rooms! and a $450 a night room hyatt in singapore is 20k points a night. however in seoul and tokyo the points arent a deal
Very effective one...!!
Glad you think so!
When u have no subscribers, maybe stop promoting ads and focus on your content.
Thanks for the advice. I would love to pick your brain on how I can grow the channel.
It would be nice if chase didn't have that rotten 5/24 policy
Agreed.
