Channeling the spirit of Ghenghis Khan. For a long time the Chinese bullied and raided the Mongols. Ghenghis was the son of a wealthy merchant, but saw that wealth alone wasn't enough to protect you. So he learned the art of war and gathered a loyal group to take on the Chinese. His forces grew and he conquered them. Then another nation killed some of his people and he conquered THEM. And so on. What many people don't get is that he had a code of conduct: He never attacked any country that wasn't harming his. He never conquered for personal gain. He never attacked India, for example, which was rich then and he could have taken it easily. But they didn't do anything hostile toward any Mongols and he left them alone. So his rule was simple: "Be nice to my people, don't attack my ambassadors or merchants, and we're good. "Harm my people and we will hunt you down and lay waste to you and yours. Mess with us and you die, period." You got the idea, clearly. It resonates with you. Cool.
@@Calumetto well history can be diluted, from a Mongolian whose history is so much tarnished and amended by others, my only advice is to take the information you haven't witnessed yourself with a grain of salt
Get your facts straight - Temujin, aka Chingis Khan didn't actually conquer Song Dynasty of China, he united the Mongolians, defeated the rival tribes on the steppe but died on his way to conquer Xixia (a country between Mongolia and China). His Grandson, Kublai Khan, conquered China. During Ghengis/Chinggis Khan's time, China wasn't even bordering the steppes, the Liao (aka the Khitan) were, and XiXia (aka the Tangut people). The Chinese (Aka the Song Dynasty) was nowhere near Mongols.
I absolutely love this song. My buddies at work have informed me that I’m not allowed to listen to this at work any longer. I get to fired up. It’s just such a primal thing, the chants, the instruments…,, it’s just touches you way back in your brain. In a place that transcends language. You instinctively know that it’s a war chant. I will fight you with everything I have and with this song…I have more than what you are bringing to the battle. It’s just amazing how it can rev you up and you don’t even know the words. After reading the lyrics, it’s far more intimidating and interesting than I even knew. It’s basically, you bring a thousand and we will bring a hundred and you will for sure be outnumbered. Hu, Hu, Hu!!!!
I was able to see The Hu and BABYMETAL at AfterShock 2019 in Sacramento. It was amazing being up front by the stage. And the Hu chant is fun as hell with the crowd. It was the same week or after when Band-Maid performed in L.A.
And... this would be another Hu song I would recommend! Especially once you learn Lizzy was given the privilege to put english words to this song as a redux.
I am not a fighter by nature, but for some reason, this song really resonates with me. Pumps me up. Inspires me. It's a fantastic workout song, too. I feel exactly the same way you do about this great song.
Very much seems to be about countering attacking strategies. Lions attack ferociously, you you fight till the end; you attempt to tire out and and outlast the lion. Tigers are strategic strikers, so you 'battle' them and force them to meet you on open ground, provocation by legitimate attack. Elephants (like Fiore's elephant and castle) are defensive juggernauts who seem to have no weakness so you have little choice but to fight with "rage", poke and prod at every angle until you tease out a weakness.
To me this isnt about fighting people physically . This is about being a warrior in everyday life. It's not about the bikes, it's about meeting the challenges we all face every day. It's about letting another person know that they dont wanna be the battle I choose today. It's about a warrior's spirit. If you're looking for easy prey, just know I aint the the one you're looking for. The rewards you might get from beating me aint worth the pain it's gonna take to win the fight.

Agree with you 100%. This war song was my first contact with them. This one and "The Great Chinggis Khan" are the best things I've ever heard to fire up my fighting spirit.
You would never get to fight a guy Jen. As soon as he got close enough to see those "amazing eyes" - he'd be done for, standing there with his mouth open - grinning.
Bikies are some of the most amazing people you will ever meet. They may seem fierce...AND THEY ARE. But they are some of the most caring selfless and thoughtful people. Just like the military and the EMS Medical Fire and Police, they're a brotherhood. Met quite a few good people in my life in these kind of groups many who've helped me in times of need.

The Hu with Jacoby Shaddix video of Wolf Totem is also awsome!!

Aye this recommendation! Excellent redux with Jacoby S!
As a good singer as he is, he took away their badassery a little.
