I had a beautiful run ruined by that. Had all of Yugoslavia, Romania, Czechoslovakia and a high-compliance France under control. 100% stability, 100% war support. All in 1939. USA declared war on me with Monroe Doctrine casus belli, UK takes some of Ethiopia and a civil war starts in Italy. Nobody had even touched Europe.

In the republican path you can actually make your colonies into cores. It requires high compliance, occupying (and owning) territories and going through a focus. Wonder if you can core the whole world that way

It's so easy that I did the Roman Empire in my first run with no prep whatsoever lmao to be fair I did have to cheat a bit by downloading an older file because Germany forced me to spend all my points on the peace deal and I couldn't annex Gibraltar so I copied the ironman save from a month before the surrender just to make the peace deal again
Don't be hating on the SUPER HEAVIES! Romanov's last laugh is only possible (Without cheese) with Super Heavies. Did 30 widths and ended the game with over 20 armored divisions. EASILY my favorite size Tank!

Yeah, lot of stuff showcased here that really sucks in this new update. Mussolini's mechanics mean he gets deposed super easily Peace conference mechanics mean that you can declare war on a nation and not have enough points to conquer it. Even if you did it by yourself. Not to mention what the AI does to nations they conquer. God I didn't think it could get worse. Honestly the focuses are alright and the aircraft are cool, but everything else in this update is a problem.
So a general note for the non-dlc updates, italy tends to keep taking egypt thanks to italian east africa in historical plays. Definitely changes the dynamic there
I don't think anyone knows that in a peace conference you can challenge pieces of land by your self like you can straight up steal land from nations in a peace conference .

its easier now, because previously you needed luxemburg and belgium, too - and I think Romania, which you don't need now.
