Great video! Lots of awesome recommendations. I have almost 250 hours in Wartales and 40 in Iron Oath. Both are solid but Wartales is one of my favorites in recent history. I know there's little to no info on it, but Pathbreakers is one of the ones I'm looking forward to most because I love the pixel art style. Fangs and Forges looks great too, the character art is amazing!
Vagrus the Riven Realms is a fantastic game, beating the game is a major challenge as it's open world and endings need you to meet specific requirements. I spent almost 100 hours trying to get the most difficult ending, which requires collecting over 200 SPECIFIC lore entries, and because the game is so niche there isn't any guides showing where they all are. It remains my rarest steam achievement with like 0.2% of Vagrus players earning it.
Having invested thousands of hours (no exaggeration) in Battle Brothers, easily my favorite game in its category and probably ever, I was fairly certain I owned or at least knew of all similar titles. How wrong I was :) (Happy Bastards is another promising title).
I put 40 hours into Battle Brothers, and just could not get into it. I like a challenge, but I felt I could not make any progress, even on the 2nd easiest difficulty level. I'm sure there's a great game under there, but when many games can be completed in 40 hours, I felt like I couldn't bust through the armour of this game to find what many others love.
Unfortunately, that's exactly how it is. Battle Brothers beats you down as you play, and diving deeper into it requires a lot of focus. Why not start by reading some tutorials on how to form your party for the early stages of the game?
Pathbreakers looks promising. Urtuk and Wartales was very interesting but Wartales feels like it need more archetypes for warriors and make archers more useful. Iron Oath after some time become boring, just IMHO.
I love wartales I have hundreds of hrs in it. I heard battlebrothers was good but the way it looks and how the combat looks is not really appealing to me
Because for two times in a row, I barely managed to finish the video just a few minutes before going live, and unfortunately, adding titles to each game takes up a lot of time. But don’t worry!

Good stuff! Yeah there's almost few infos about Pathbreakers. But we will soon learn more, don't worry :)

Great achievement mate :)
Fangs & Forges reminds me of an old game, that I cannot put my finger on, but looks very interesting. Not on steam yet though, to wishlist.
It looks promising. Personally, i love the world map, it looks very inspired.

Same here!
Is Happy Bastards open world?
@@TurnBasedLovers Sorry for the belated response, yes, it's open world tactical RPG, with turn-based combat, per the game's description on Steam.
Thanks for the coverage!! 🤗
Our pleasure! :)
Realy usefull video thanks. I found a lot of new games which never heard before.

I already played bb, wartales and urtuk. I wish the devs didnt abandon urtuk. That game still had few bugs.
Yeah, indeed
brother brothers will be good if they have controller support.. goodthing i enjoy wartales
I think these games are born for mouse and keyboard and fit perfectly for those, but I understand lot of people prefer to play with a controller.

Wartales and Gobs & Gods rules!
Indeed. :)

Don't be fooled by the graphics-this is actually a deep and incredibly fun game. :)

Why did you list Band of Crusaders if it's not turn-based? That's a deal-breaker for me. Otherwise, a good list as usual!
I know I know. Little exceptions here and there. But only when i really like a game :)
