I avoided listening to this song when youtube recomend it to me back in 2015 (i think) only because i didnt liked the cover of the video and thought the name was making allusion to the beatles which i found annoying. couple of years laters (2020 if im not mistaken) i finally gave it a go and found myself into Battles for like an entire year and a half.
Saw them play in Chattanooga a few days before this and it was about the same. The show still kicked ass, but them boys looked *dead* inside. That’s what traveling/touring nonstop for a year will do to you unfortunately.
Last time I saw them was 2004. There were twice as many people on stage. The drummer looked younger. The guitarist looked older.
Pretty sure Ian Williams has a picture of Dorian Gray in his attic
There were double the band members also
Truly exceptional artists.
i love them so much they have amazing harmony and energy
Beautiful!
so fucking solid

I miss Dave
Glad to see them still playing, but John looks like he's there against his will.
I think they're on their last leg definitely, I might be wrong but they do seem kind of out of it.

These two looked like they were going to leave during the next song back when Ty was in the band, yet they still are there
i mean, he always looks like that imo haha, just came from watching to this same track live on NYC.
That’s what passion looks like
So weird to see Stainer wailing on the drums to synth pop music. So used to seeing him with Helmet
He left Helmet in 1997. 27 years ago. He's been in Battles for much longer than he's been in Helmet. And this is in no goddamn way "synth pop".
I just wish it was John and Dave, not John and Ian. Oh well, I found this looking for new Dave Konopka stuff. Still haven't found any...
Dave’s old band Lynx just reissued their album from 1999 on Computer Students records! Has a few new tracks which they recorded last year
@@ondro123 wow thank you so much!
