Ahh man, I'm gunna miss Harry in the videos. Been wondering where he's been but completely agree that a 2h drive to and from work is just too much. Gunna miss that legend! All the best if you see this Harry!
Good luck Harry 👍🏻. Great to see the chimney build. Brought back a few memories from when I built them with my dad and grandad three generations on the scaffold. Sadly both are gone now and are sadly missed. Best working days of my life. Great video Charlie 👍🏻
Harry will be missed I really hope he comes back to your gang. I know I'm watching your videos from a few years ago as well as the new ones but really liked Harry good worker and reliable 👌👌
Have to say I'm happy to see frank working with you Charlie seems a genuine guy nice hearted guy. Also Charlie, I don't get to watch all your videos of this house build but can we please please get a full walk around house tour when this house is finished that would be great thanks
Just found your channel through Facebook, and have only seen a handful of videos, but they're all great. You seem like a genuinely kind person. And you do amazing work. Glad I came across the channel.
It would be nice to hear Tom getting a bit of kudos for his efforts. Power to your elbow Harry. That's for my lad Harry too who's just started life as a roofer.
Hope we see Harry again. Great character and tremendous grafter. Nice bit of brickwork by Amy there. 👌 Looking well Charlie and I look forward to seeing the tumbling in video 🧱
To bad about Harry, its great to have a cheery man on the job ..it lifts everyone! Good luck harry hope to see you again. Lovely Chimney Charlie and Amy
Yes, you probably know that we love to see you every day, because you are a wonderful, spontaneous team. (Friends series) This is how we see you, we wish happiness and prosperity to all ❤️
Top class as always lads... doin a superb job on that house... have to say Amy's work is brill... a small tip I find handy for profiles is a lil L-bracket on top where the block work finishes either Dutch pin or clamped there and u can clamp your profile up there aswell I just find it stabilises it a bit better I no there's prob no need when your using the blakes... its just a tip... hope Harry gets back wit ye when ye're closer to home.....
Hi Charlie I would like to wish Harry all the best and hopefully you can link up with him again sometime he's a real grafter and all round Nice guy. Loved this video great craftsmenship going into this build well done Amy you are coming along way fair play 😉. Keep up the great work team Collison l👌👍😉
All the best Harry, sad day losing you from the team. I think Charlie even had a lump in his throat filming this episode, the somber out trail music said it all.
Harry driving 4 hours a day is like working double shifts. Mind you sometimes I have been out clearing snow from 3am until 5 pm with a hour off for lunch. Thank god those days are over.
Hi Charlie, when using the Blake’s Profiles with other bonds (not stretcher), if you take the nut off of the clamping arm and reverse the pud lock and reattach the nut it will give you a different range for going into a perp joint.
In America we built the outer brick first and fill in with the block and flue-liner. And we did it all with levels. None of those corner profile things. ..They probably use them nowadays, they're pretty popular with commercial masonry bricklayers.
@@matthuckvale2526 Yep, that's the way of the world now. I started out in residential and trained by old-timers, building leads. Then I went to commercial and learned all about them profile story-pole things.. There's advantages and disadvantages to doing both ways depending on the situation.
@@matthuckvale2526 ... But for chimneys, I'll stick with the level (but mostly 'my eye') and build them as good and as fast as anybody using profiles. I'll have the chimney scaffold high before you get your profiles set!😅😉
Nice one Charlie Harry will be mist he was a top geezer aways polite and that but 4 hour drive a day is to much for any Man hope you find ya way Harry lad all the best dude 🙂✌️
Tidy work mate, chimney looks very tidy👌 In depth video on the tumbling in please fella👌 shame to see harry go, but 4 hour round trip..that was some dedication 💪💪
So I've been away for couple months due to madness in my life going on right now. Finally get to watch and i'm seeing Francis back and Harry gone?? Fucking hell man what have I missed
I think you should have left a void either side of the flue, and built airing cupboards instead of filling them up with blocks! Are you sure the lintels will withstand the weight of blocks and infill.
I actually only used Mustang profiles in the 80s and 90s and found them better than Blake's once you get used to them, the full thread clamps are handy 👍
For me it was a down side to construction, travelling the country making friends on site and at the end of the job saying goodbye knowing you probably won‘t see them again. Harry was a good lad and it‘s people like that that make you look forward to going to work each day.
Should have watched till the end first. Westminster smudge, was a jounting up we used on old London stock bricks on St Catherine's dock back in the 80s,
You will be missed harry but yes 2 hour drive each way is ridiculous even if the job is good so right decision m8 hopefully you will get together after this build maybe, how far do you have to travel to this job charlie?cheers guys
A two inch gap is sufficient around your flu liner, all chimneys vary in size, opening and height it all depends on what is required by client etc. but flamigulite just needs to be semi dry .
You all ways hate to loose good help but most of all good people always rough You and Amy have a good Christmas 🎄 enjoy the videos Charle been laying bricks for years and I learn a lot of good ideas from watching your channel man your never to old to learn new things or to young have a good one 🧱🧱🧱🧱👍😎 Brick laying fan from the USA 🇺🇸🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱🧱⚒😎
It’s been a bit slow the last week. Should be a full week of videos next week mate. We’re putting joists on then starting 3rd lift so there will be a lot to talk about and a lot of videoing. But we do finish up for Xmas on Wednesday
Harry you will be truly missed mate. Hope to see you again someday ❤️
No more infectious laughter. Good luck Harry.

Thanks for documenting Harry’s journey Charlie. Harry was one of life’s good guys.
Who are you?
Harry, if your watching, Charlie’s end bit to you, was a builders best back-handed compliment you could receive.
Harry will be missed I really hope he comes back to your gang. I know I'm watching your videos from a few years ago as well as the new ones but really liked Harry good worker and reliable 👌👌

Harry will be missed Thomas is a good man also
That’s a shame, top bloke Harry, always happy 👍🏻 good luck mate on your next path.
In America we built the outer brick first and fill in with the block and flue-liner. And we did it all with levels. None of those corner profile things. ..They probably use them nowadays, they're pretty popular with commercial masonry bricklayers.
I live in Texas and use speed leads aka profiles whenever possible because it is faster and it's about making money.

Great work as always, tumbling in video please 👍
Lovely old job
I actually only used Mustang profiles in the 80s and 90s and found them better than Blake's once you get used to them, the full thread clamps are handy 👍
I found they dont pull over as much as the blakes but didnt like how big and heavy they was
