In this video, we are showing you the easiest method of gold recovery by using some easy-to-get chemicals. You can easily recover gold from gold-plated pins by this method. Tincture Iodine is a strong leaching agent which dissolves only the gold platings from the gold-plated pins. Watch the video and don't forget to like this video.

Bravo my friend it's a lot better than waiting a month or more with salt , vinegar and peroxide .
You can covert potassium iodide crystals to iodine crystals with a simple procedure and some muratic acid . Then make your own tincture.
Potassium iodide crystals are food grade and easily purchased .
You can find the procedure for conversion on you tube .I hope this info is useful to someone .
Again great video this will save me and others a lot of time .
With vinegar and those other 2 ingriendients it takes less than a day if your doing it right

I have been trying to find some other videos that are trying to do what you did. The problem is that no one can come close to what you did. You are really quite extrodadinary excellent!!!!! I wanted to know if the solution is reusable? Could you possibly recharge the solution with more iodine for reuse?

Iodine is so expensive, but it leaching the gold very nicely..
@@TrinityGoldRecoveryI agree. The cost of consumables & time saving verses extra work hours with traditional methods, may make the high cost of chemicals justified with the increase productivity, completion deadline time and profit.
What about the waste produces and can they be recovered / recycled & reused? Hopefully there is a recovery process like with a Copper 2 Chloride solution to cut cost & waste.

I like this process. Is it reasonable to assume this would work well on connectors that have not been broken down? I have buckets of plugs and connectors that are to big a hassle to break down. I figured a leach would be best to avoid the labor of breaking them to bits. .

Thanks so much for getting back to me. So then it does not have anything to do with raising the ph. But now I am lost. Do you mean its a reagent to see if you got the result you wanted? Also could you tell me how you came up with your procedure? Was it from some other reseach? I ask cause you found the Holy Grail of how to process gold pins. Cost is not an issue when you factor in the harsh and hard to dispose of chemicals, let alone your time and the cost of those harsh and dangereous chemicals. You da Man!!!!!!

Way more cost effective than using hydrochlorides and nitric acid considering the cost of chemicals and time it takes. Good video.
you can recycle the clock of iodine from iodide/iodate back to iodine/iodide tincture mix

@@TrinityGoldRecovery Most countries are now using Povidone Iodine (Betadine) for medical/surgical situations because it lasts longer and apparently can't be used for manufacturing Meth or makes it harder to be used. Povidone is also synthetic and doesn't work for this process unless you add acid and that defeats the purpose of using iodine. I guess it has too much Nylon-polymer which interferes. I tried 2 types Povidone and after 2 days no reaction. I then grabbed some 2.5% Iodine tincture containing Potassium Iodide and it worked within 20 minutes. I believe it would have been way faster if I had more tincture. Need to find a source that has larger than 50ml bottles here in Canada. Thanks for the video, I hate using Aqua Regia. You know of an alternative that could be used instead of caustic soda?

Do you have the Chemical reactions written down, to share? Just to see what other products being made, and to see if the iodine can be recovered. It can, but more whst steps to use for recovering it.

Some elements of primary gold are mixed before plating, such as cadmium, silver and nickel. Iodine dissolved gold along with those metals...

Can you substitute vitamin c for sodium meta bisulfite for precipitation?
I was wondering the same thing. Iodine works great for removing plating but I don't have any ascorbic acid so I am saving the dissolved gold in the iodine until I can get some or my thought was to use SMB but you saved me from asking. Was your question ever replied to? Thanks.
Vitamin c has been used across refining that i know of for a cleaner drop of precious metals. I believe you can i do have material but the only way i can test the theory in pure form is making my own iodine tincture as its only sold in 30ml bottles and id rather by in big volume at cheap or make it myself. When i did it first time with tincture of iodine i used smb to drop gold but my color change was not green as his probably due to the fact that the otc i bought was probably 1% and maybe not as potent. Unsure in totality but playing around with my findings. Hope this helps
A very good option if you can't get acids legaly where you live (UK). Iodine is in nearly every shop... Can it be 3% or stronger?

yes you can use vitamin c but you will find other precipitation with your gold sediment, better you buy L-Ascorbic Acid,

Your net yield is way under 1 gram. You have alot of copper in there for starters.
Then all your heavy metal contaminants then factor in you still have to run it through AR.
So you are probably around .75 of a gram at 14k. So calculate1 gram is now $59.64 times
.5833 (14k) = 34.78. Multiply by 3/4 gram (34.78 X .75) = $26.10 total net. The process looks great, quick and clean but you cant be one dimensional about gold yield.
true, but you can make this quick method to gather some lower grade gold, and when you have several nuggets you make a aqua-regia on all of them.

Great videos. In this one you are using tincture of iodine and in another Lugol's iodine. Is one better than the other?
I have not found any iodine other than tincture iodine in the chemical store. So I can't compare which one is better. But I think both products will be equivalent. Thank You.
