- Six Komodo dragons hatched at the Bronx Zoo in November 2021. It is the first time this species has successfully bred in the 122-year history of the zoo. Komodo dragons are the largest species of lizard in the world. They can grow to 150 pounds and 10 feet long. Komodo dragons have a powerful and dangerous bite.
